"Amna warraich will be living with her grandparents however her mother can see her whenever she wants to and her grandparents or anyone for that matter cannot stop her from seeing her mother" and with that the judge stood up
"But she's my daughter" Dania shrieked
"No I'm not" Amna who was all grown up looked her in the eye
"You never were and never will be my mother because you didn't care about me. You left me to get married. I hate you"

"Amna!" Dania screamed as she woke up, she was sweating like crazy but Taha wasn't asleep yet so he was startled to see Dania scream
"Honey what is it?" He came to Dania's side and rubbed her back while she was sobbing
"Amna...sh....she hates me" she managed to say
"No...no she doesn't" he gulped

"Why did you hesitate?" Dania asked, her lips trembling

"Oh Dania I didn't hesitate. She loves you" Taha assured her

"Are you sure?" She asked yet again

"I really am. Go back to sleep"

She lied down but all that was going through her mind was how she was in pain. Not physically but emotionally.
When they were taking away Amna and she was screaming and lunging herself towards her mother, it felt like every inch of Dania's being was being ripped apart.
She hated this feeling.
She felt it when Ahmed died and now she was feeling it because her daughter was taken away from her. She didn't want to cry because she didn't want Taha to think that it was his mistake. That he couldn't try harder. She fell asleep thinking of Amna......

"Dania, I hate to wake you up but this is serious" she faintly heard Taha's voice but she knew that he wouldn't wake her up of it wasn't important.
"What?" She asked in a whisper
"It's father, he isn't well"
Dania sat up hurriedly.
"Wh...why what's wrong with uncle?" She rubbed her eyes

"I don't know. Let's just take him to the hospital" he said, his face as white as paper

"Yeah okay. I'll be outside in 10 mins" she yawned
As Dania had said she went outside in 10 mins and they drove Taha's father to the hospital.

What the doctor said to them covered the whole air with a layer of depression.

"He will be fine. We still have him with us for 72 hours. Let's just make the most of it" Dania said, putting her hand on a crying Taha.

She was watching him cry for the first time. Even though he was a very emotional person he rarely cries in real life situations, movies were another story.

"But it's not fair. I jut have 72 hours with him and then I'll have him no longer and you know he said that it's a miracle if he survives for even 72 hours. It's not fair Dania" he said, his voice full of tears.
"The doctor said that we could take him home. Let's go and let's not make him feel like he's going to die. We're going to make the most of the time" Dania squeezed his hand
Everybody was mentally prepared that Taha's father would die any minute now because of how serious his situation was. Everybody started to make arrangements.
They put out carpets, bought fruits and other refreshments but nobody knows what life has in store for us.

"Hey why are you late?" Khalida said to their maid who came in late today because she was sick.

"I wasn't well" the maid replied

"Oh dear, how are you feeling now?" Khalida asked

"I've been better" the maid chuckled

"Are you sure you can work?" Khalida said

"Yeah" she nodded

"Okay. Come inside"

The servant, Linda, had bought some vegetables for them to cook and she started peeling them while Khalida got the pans and everything else ready and she was also making the milkshake for Taha. It was a habit of hers even after Taha got married she would make his milkshake every morning.

Khalida looked up to Linda with a expression that said....nothing.

Her face was blank. Her cheeks pale. She didn't look well. She stood up and went to Dania who was giving her size for a new dress she was getting stitched.

"Dania dear what would you like to eat?" Khalida asked Dania with a kind smile.
"Oh, I'll be outside in a moment." She returned her smile.

Not even 5 mins had passed when Dania heard Linda screaming. Taha was just getting out of the shower when he heard Linda screaming too.
"Something happened to her" Linda shrieked and pointed to an unconscious Khalida lying on the floor.
When Linda screamed everybody thought it was Taha's father who had died but everyone was more than surprised to see Khalida lying unconscious. They put Khalida on her bed and Dania opened her eyes to see if she was alright.
She wasn't.
She couldn't believe it.
Oh no.
How would Taha take this news? He loved his mother more than himself and this wasn't fair to him. For some reason Dania couldn't get the words out of her mouth. She couldn't say or believe it until the doctor said it

Her amazing and kind mother-in-law who was the like a mother to her was dead and there was nothing she could do about it.
