Happy Ending
(Y/n)'s POV
"Wow, I can't believe Yashamaru let us have the day off."
"Yeah, but in return, we have to hold a concert in an amusement park," Mikado replied.
"That sounds fun."
"The concert starts in a few hours so we have some time to hang around," Tomohisa exclaimed.
"But don't you guys have to do a rehearsal or something?"
"(Y/n), don't be such a party pooper. We're here for a reason!" Yuuta complained, pouting.
I just smiled. It was true that they were here for a reason other than the concert. Yashamaru had told them to have fun while they were here. He was confident that they would do well performing despite not practising. After all, it was just a small thing he organised last minute.
I looked around at the various rides and small food stands. Well, he did say to have fun but what could I do here? I was scared of most of the rides here and I would much rather prefer to eat elsewhere.
"(Y/n), how about we go on that ride?" asked Hikaru.
"What? No way, you can go on by yourself."
"Come on, last time we came, you still haven't gotten rid of your fear."
"You and Mikado just made it worse!"
"Why not go on with Goshi?" Kento suggested.
"Why should I?"
"Forget it. I have no interest in going on stupid rides," Goshi said while leaning against a bench.
"Come on, it'll be fun," Kento exclaimed while pushing us both towards the ride that I had wanted to avoid.
Goshi grabbed my hand and took me to the line. I glared at him. He just said that he didn't want to ride anything. Why now? I hated this roller coaster.
As I waited in fear, the entrance was drawing close. The others were all sitting on the bench, probably because they wanted to watch us scream like babies.
"Oi, let's go," Goshi said quietly.
"Huh?"
He pulled me out of the line, towards a large crowd of people. The others didn't notice as we left the line and disappeared into the crowd.
I glanced at Goshi as he led me to a nearby fast food restaurant. Was this his plan from the start? The reason as to why he did this, I still wasn't sure.
"Are you hungry?" he asked.
"No, not now."
"Well, I am. Wait here, I'll go order something."
I sat down at the booth before looking out the window. It seemed as if Kento was the only one that knew what had happened. The others were clueless, eagerly waiting for our faces to show up.
I got a text from Ryuji when Goshi came back with a plate of food.
Ryuji: You're not actually on the ride, are you?
Me: Yeah...did Kento tell you?
Ryuji: No, I just suspected that you would escape somewhere with Goshi
Me: Oh
Ryuji: So what? Are you guys on a secret date?
Me: No!
Ryuji: Sure seems like it to me. Anyway, should I disappoint everyone and say that you're not even in line?
Me: Do whatever you want
I put my phone away. Goshi had been staring at me the whole time with a bored look on his face. He was leaning against his arm.
"What?"
"What were you doing on your phone? Did they find out?"
"Only Kento and Ryuji."
"Oh...want some?"
I took the toothpick he handed to me and ate the small rice cake that was on top. It was green tea flavoured. When I looked up, Goshi had a slight smirk on his face.
"Why are you looking at me like that?"
"You said you weren't hungry. Funny how your actions don't exactly go with your words."
Huh? Did I already finish half the plate? Goshi took the toothpick away, along with the rest of the food. I pouted as he finished the rest.
"That's where you guys were. Hmm, that's mean of you to sneak off like that," Yuuta exclaimed while sitting down next to me.
"Sorry, but that ride is seriously a monster."
"It was fun the last time we went on," Hikaru commented.
~A few hours later~
The concert was just about to begin. This time, Yuuta had gotten me a ticket for the first row. Well, I wasn't sure if that was okay but still accepted it gratefully.
Soon enough, the music started as they went on stage. Heh, they were amazing as usual. I still couldn't help but cheer along with the rest of the fans.
Even without the extra practice they should've gotten, they still performed without much trouble. It was as if they didn't even need to memorise anything.
I was amazed at how they could just perform like that. It was something that I could never do. But maybe that was why they were so good. I guess their last song really did fit their efforts.
As I watched them bow, Goshi immediately made eye contact with me and smiled. So did the others. They were all looking at me with happy, energetic smiles.
"Thank you, everyone!" Yuuta exclaimed with a grin.
Unexpectedly, they all stared at each other before Goshi hopped off stage and headed towards me. Eh?! Why was he doing this now?! Everyone could see!
He smirked before taking my hand, making all the fans scream and cheer. I wanted to run away from all the attention.
"Come on, (Y/n). Let's go, we're gonna be late," he said while pulling me up.
"L-late for what?"
Instead of a reply, all he did was pull me towards the exit, past all the fans waving their hands in front of his face and out the door.
The cool night air hit our faces as we exited. Goshi pulled me along as we ran towards the centre of the amusement park. We arrived, out of breath.
"What did-"
"It's starting."
I could only look at the fireworks in surprise as he squeezed my hand. As we watched, a certain pattern caught my eye. Wait...what...?
I looked at Goshi, who had purposely avoided my gaze. He had a small blush on his cheeks. This made me laugh and say those words back to him.
"I love you too."
