Year 1 Chapter 16 - Spring Showers

Christmas is good, but I love spring more. And when it came along, I was so happy.

There were little tulips in the courtyard and a warm, calming breeze blowing past. What I loved most was the rain. So spring was always my favorite season just because there was rain. The first day it started to rain, I was so happy that I jumped out of one of the common room windows. Snowy of course followed me. She follows me everywhere.

I turned into my animagus form and flew in circles. Then, when it stopped raining, I went back inside to find Leo and Aby waiting for me.

"You need a towel?" asked Aby. I nodded as she picked up her wand. "Wingardium Leviosa!" she said pointing her wand at the closest towel.

"Thanks..." I said. I was soaked. That night, I jumped out the window again.

"Leah! Wait for me!" Snowy called out. In my animagus form I flew to the roof of Hogwarts with Snowy following.

I turned back and said "oh Snowy...you worry way to much..." I smirked and pat Snowy head. She hooted softly as I felt a drop of rain fall on me.

"Let's go Snowy" I said turning back to my animagus form.

"Alright..." said Snowy leading the way back to the common room.

In the morning, everyone from Ravenclaw were gone from the common room. I must have slept in late... I thought. I got and looked around. Everyone, even Snowy, was gone. "Snowy!" I called out picking up Dawn. She meowed and pointed to one of Snowy's feathers. Oh no... I thought. Dawn meowed again and jumped out of my hands.

Then she started sniffing around and ran out of the common room.

"Dawn!" I yelled. I had no time to change, so I changed into my animagus form and flew after Dawn. She saw me and ran faster. Dawn ran out into the courtyard. I followed her, and what I saw hunted me. "Snowy?" I asked turning back to my human form. There was a bright white snow owl is a steel cage, covered in blood. Dawn ran up the owl and started scratching at the cage.

"Dawn no..." I said in a half whisper. Dawn stopped and I used a spell to open the cage. I carefully picked up the Snow owl and put on my back I hope your ok Snowy. I thought as I turned to my animagus form. I then picked up Dawn with my claws, and flew into the air while trying to balance Snowy on my back. I fly to the hospital wing as fast as I can, Draco, Keen, and Chet waiting for me.

Year 1 Chapter 17 - Snowy

Before I went in the hospital wing, I turned back to my human form and slowly walked inside. The nurse was there ready to help. She carefully took Snowy and went into the back of the room to heal her. That hole time, I was trying not to make eye contact with the 3 boys who were staring at me.

"Hello..." said Keen. I didn't answer.

"Oh come on!" Said Draco. I never turned my head.

"Look at us fool!" Chet shouted. That time I closed my eyes and faced them.

Then, I opened my mouth to show them my fangs. I then opened my dragon eyes and hissed. They were speechless and they stopped bothering me.

Thank goodness I thought to myself. A few minutes later, the nurse gave me Snowy. She was in a cage, but was healed and that's all I cared about. I carefully took her back to the common room. I skipped all my classes to take care of her. It was dinner now and Snowy was still asleep. She was breathing, but slowly and calmly.

"Snowy?" I asked before I went down for dinner. The bird stuttered at little, bit didn't say anything. "I love you Snowy..." I said. Then I walked down to dinner.

Year 1 Chapter 18 - Dragon Scales, and Keith Banks

A week later, Snowy was back healthy and normal. At lunch Harry and his friends had to do something, so it was just me, Leo, and Aby together. We were talking about my dragon eyes and fangs. We decided to call it Dragon Scales everytime it happened. Whether if it happened on it's own or not.

We were in the middle of talking about classes when a girl came over. She had long bright blue hair and green eyes.

"Hello..." she said. The girl had three or four books in her hand.

"Um, hello I guess..." Leo answered. He faced the table and took bite of his egg and cheese sandwich.

"Hello!" I said elbowing Leo in the stomach. I turned and faced the girl.

Leo turned and glared at me, but then turned to the girl and forced a smile.

"I'm Keith! Keith Banks, it's nice to meet you!" Leo then smirked and I elbowed him again. Leo quietly growled at me.

"Nice to meet you Keith! I'm Leah Scamander! And this is-" but Keith cut me off.

"Scamander? As in Newt Scamander?" she asked excitedly.

"Um..." I said. Then I paused to see Leo glaring at me. I then closed my eyes and did my dragon scales. I then opened my eyes to see him terrified. Leo then faced Keith and smiled at her. I smirked and did the same.

"Yes" I finally answered. Keith seemed confused about what happened to Leo. "Newt

Scamander was my great-grandfather if you really wanted to know." Then I looked at Leo who looked straight back at me. "This is my best friend! Leo Promantous..." I said as Leo waved to Keith.

"It's nice to meet you Keith!" Leo smiled. He did a small bow which I guess ment that he was sorry.

"Nice to meet you too Leo!" Keith said grinning.

"What are the books for?" I asked looking at the books in her hand.

"Oh!" Keith said setting them down on the table. Leo and I could now see a hufflepuff badge on Keith's robes.

Leo paused then said "Your a hufflepuff?"

Keith stared at him. She seemed offended. "Yes I am....and you are a Ravenclaw I can tell..." she said smirking. Very smart I see... I thought.

I smiled at Keith and said "Yes, yes we are"

"Okay then!" Keith smiled. "I'm going to the library now if you want to join me!" Then she picked up her books and left as two other girls walked up to Leo and me with disgusted faces. I sighed as they looked at Leo and blushed.

"What do you want?" I asked when one sat down next to Leo.

"Not you of course!" said one of the girls. She was glaring at me. One of the girls had dark red hair and blue eyes, while the other one had brown hair with hazel eyes. They were each wearing makeup which made it seem like they were trying to impress someone. I looked at their robes to see a Slytherin badge on each of them.

Year 1 Chapter 19 - Pettle and Opre, Fred and George

I glared back at the two girls and grabbed Leo's hand. "He's already taken so you can go now thank you very much."

"No one says no to us..." said the girl sitting. She took out her wand and pointed it at me. "The name's Opre and this is Pettle" she said.

"What should we do with her?" Pettle asked. She was twirling her dark red hair and was glaring at me.

I growled and did my dragon scales without closing my eyes. My now dragon eyes adjusted to light as I showed my fangs.

"Oh you think you can scare me?" Opre asked. She did the same and came closer to me. I was shocked. She can do it too? I thought.

"Yes I can!" Opre said. "Stupify!" she yelled pointing her wand at me.

"Protego!" I heard a voice. It was Aby. she was now in front of me with her wand up. "Expelliarmus!" she said once the sphere disappeared.

Opre's wand flew out of her hand and landed in Leo lap. "How dare you!" she yelled retrieving it. Aby then turned to her animagus form and growled at Opre and Pettle.

"Opre let's go..." Pettle muttered as she grabbed her arm.

"That's right!" said Aby turning back to a human. Her hair turned dark purple and her eyes became almost black.

Opre glared at us and followed Pettle back to the Slytherin table.

"Well they are rude, busting out of nowhere!" I said.

"Yeah," Aby replied.

"Thanks for helping me..." I say turning my eyes to normal.

"Your welcome! Sorry I didn't come sooner"

"It's ok Aby! Why don't we go to class now?"

"Sure!" Aby put her wand away, and started to the door.

Leo got up as well and didn't say anything. He then grabbed my hand and smiled at me. "Thank you" He smiled.

"Anytime!" I said and smiled back. Then we headed after Aby.

"Come on guys before we're late!" Aby called out. Then she noticed us holding hands, and just backed of, not expecting to see this sight.

"Ok.... I'll just go...." She rushed to the door. Aby is tall and fast. By the time we realized she left us we ran as we could.

When we caught up to her, she said, "Oh, hello! What took you so long?" She smiled and we walked to Transfiguration.

I sat with Leo in about the middle of the classroom, and Aby was talking to two others. She sat in the front. Class started shortly after.

"Hello class!" said Professor McGonagall. She was a cat before that. I forgot she was an animagus. "Today we will be learning..." and her voice trailed off in my head. I was thinking about what happened that morning. I saw Aby quietly whispering to the students behind her, I thought I could maybe ask who they were.

After class, Leo and I went over to Aby to see her face dark red. There were two boys with her who seemed to look a lot like Ron, but they also looked like identical twins. Turns out they were.

"Hey Aby!" I called out to her. Her facial expression changed, and she waved to me, calling me over.

"Oh, Leah!" Aby smiled. She wasn't blushing anymore. "This is Fred and George!"

"Nice to meet you two!" I said. I didn't notice I was still holding Leo's hand.

"Aby you got that backwards. I'M Fred and this is George." Fred said.

"Are you guys twins or something?" I asked super confused.

"How did you know?" The twins said at the exact same time.

"Lucky guess!" I said sarcastically, but still confused.

Fred and George seemed annoyed, but were good at hiding it.

"Oh yeah!" I said facing Leo. "This is my friend Leo" I felt my face go red so I then faced Aby and Fred.

"So you two together?"

Aby and Fred looked at each other, then laughed.

"Maybe...." She said.

"Wait what?" George suddenly said. Fred blushed and turned away a little, facing the ground.

"I'm just kidding!" Aby said. 'Oh really? We'll see about that!' I thought smirking to myself.

I then turned my eyes to dragon eyes and slightly opened them. "Dang it!" I read Fred's thoughts. I couldn't help but giggle as I turned my eyes back to normal.

"What?" Fred asked, confused.

"Oh nothing!" I said, biting my lip so I wouldn't laugh.

Aby gasped, "Leah!" her shocked face turned into a smile and she laughed. I think she knew what I did.

"What!?" I said smiling.

"Oh, come on, we will be late for lunch!" she said, "Cinnami!" A ginger cat bounced on Aby's head and she walked off to lunch.

"Let's go too!" I said to Leo pulling him along.

"I can walk by myself you know!" He said laughing. We walked to lunch, side by side.

Year 1 Chapter 20 - The Duel with Ary and Colt

At lunch Fred and George came over and sat with Aby, Leo, Keith, and me. Of course Harry, Ron, and Hermione sat with us as well. I sat across from Aby, and she sat with Fred and George on either side of her. The twins high-fived Ron as he sat down. When Ron high-fived them back, he looked at his hand, which already had a slug on it. I didn't mean to laugh, but I had to. Hermione gave me a glare, but I ignored her.

"Can I shake your hand my lady?" Fred asked Aby.

"I pass!" She said. "If you are holding a slug of course though," She quickly added.

"Dang it!" Fred said, and put the slug in his hand inside a container.

"You can have this one too," Ron held out the slug on his hand to Fred. He took in and put it in the same container.

"So, how is everyone?" Aby asked.

"Oh, I am good, I would as you the same," A voice came from behind me. It was Ary and Colt.

"Hey, leave her alone!" Fred snarled at the two.

"Ooooh, this is interesting!" Colt said. Aby stood up and pulled out her wand.

"You will see how interesting this gets." Aby said.

"What are you going to do?" Ary said, crossing his arms.

"You are nothing!" Colt said.

"Worthless!"

"No one will ever like you!"

Aby started to shake, and her hair started to rapidly turn different colors.

"Guys! I don't think you want to be near her! She has the Metamorphmagus disease!" Ary and Colt said.

"Enough! Leave her alone! Being a Metamorphmagus is a gift! And you are the opposite!" I roasted them.

Fine then." The twins pulled out their wands and pointed them to me. "Courtyard. 12:00."

They turned and walked away. I looked over to see Aby still shaking. Fred takes her hand, and her hair starts to calm down to orange again. She takes a breath and sits down.

"I do that when I am scared, nervous, stressed, or overwhelmed." She said. "I'm sorry." She added.

"It's ok!" I said.

"No it isn't! Because of me, now you have a duel to go to!" She hid her face in her hands. "Maybe I am infected with the Metamorphmagus disease...."

"No you aren't Aby! You are beautiful just the way you are." Fred said, and put an arm around her.

"Well, 12:00 is nearing, I'm going to courtyard!" I said, trying my best to sound confident.

"I'm going with you!" Aby and Leo said.

"Ok, let's go!" The three of us headed to Courtyard. The Sallmone brothers were already there. Chet was with them too.

"Why are you here?" I asked.

"Who? Me? I'm here to support my little twins!" Chet said. "I am Chet Sallmone after all!"

"Ok!" Aby jumped in front, wand at ready.

I shrugged. Leo and I stood in the back. We were ready too.

"Serpensortia!" Aby suddenly said. A snake appeared in of the three.

"Oh gosh!!" Ary screamed. "SNAKE!!!"

"Flipendo!" Colt said right after.

"Protego!" I said blocking the spell. It flew towards their direction.

"Oh no..." said Ary jumping out of the way. "Run Colt!"

It was now too late and Colt was flying in the air doing a flip. He flew into Chet and they both fell to the ground.

"Expelliarmus!" Leo yelled before they could get up. They fell down again with their wands in the air.

"I suggest you run Ary!" Aby said, and swiftly turned into a wolf, jumping onto the scared girl.

"AAAAHHHHH!" she yelped pulling out her wand. "Stupify!" she screamed.

Leo then ran in front of Aby and said "Flipendo!" Which made the spell jump back towards her.

Ary blocked the spell, it flew towards Aby, who turned human, and was getting up from the ground.

Then I ran over. "Protego!" A ball of electricity surrounded both of us.

The spell ended up hitting Chet, who was about to get up onto his feet. He flew backwards.

"Chet!" Ary zoomed to Chet and healed him.

"Stupify!" Leo yelled. The spell hit Chet as Ary healed him.

"You will be really sorry for doing everything Aby!" Ary stood up, pointed her wand, and shouted, "Crucio!"

"Protego!" Leo and I said at the same time. The silver ball of energy turned blue and expanded, causing Ary, Colt, and Chet to fall backwards. It then faded with a small explosion that made Leo, Aby, and I fall backwards as well.

I look over to see Aby screaming in pain from the Cruciatus curse, her hair turning different colors rapidly twice as much. She soon, stopped, and fell dead to the ground.

"ABY! Leo help!" I yelped.

Leo came over and took out some potions while I got up and raced to the three on the other side of the Courtyard. "What did you do! You hurt my friend! You used an unforgivable curse! How dare you?! Do you even feel sorry?!" I then felt my eyes and teeth change, but it started to hurt. I yell, but it didn't stop changing to my dragon scales. I jumped on Ary and bit her with my sharp canine teeth. She yelps, and passes out almost immediately.

I stand up, turn towards Colt and Chet, and say "Do you want the same done to you?!" I stare at them, my voice echoing.

The brothers slowly back off, and run away. Leaving their sister passed out on the ground. I rush to Aby, she has a heartbeat and a pulse. I give a sigh of relief. She isn't dead. She did pass out. Her hands shake a bit and her fingernails turn into cat nails, then back to her regular nails. I stare at her, then shrug, thinking that it's nothing out of the ordinary, and Leo helps me drag her to the nurse and Madame Pomfrey helps her recover. It has been an hour or so, and Fred is already at her bedside. He takes her hand and looks at Aby. He suddenly jerks his hand away and jumps up out of the chair he was sitting in. I see that his hand is bloody from something that looks like cat scratches. But a cat couldn't scratch that bad. He wasn't next to a cat at all. Aby jerks up and sits up, breathing heavily.

"What the heck Aby! That hurt!" Fred said, holding out his bleeding hand. Aby just stares at his hand and her eyes go wide. I think she was a little overwhelmed because her hair started switching colors. She looks forward, puts her fingertips on the sides of her head, and she slowly drops them down her face, which leaves a trail after her fingers. Aby looks at her hands. Changes them to normal hands, then back. She switches them, and starts to get the jist of it. She finally looks up at Fred.

"I'm so sorry." She looks down and falls onto her pillow. When I get a closer look she is already asleep.
