Summer Time Chapter 21 - Ice Cream with Leo

After a while I asked, "You want to get some ice cream maybe?"

"I don't know-" Leo started to speak but I interrupted.

"I know you don't know my neighborhood!" I laughed. "Come on!"

I dragged him through the streets until we came to a small plaza.

"Wait..." Leo seemed confused. "Is this the-"

I covered his mouth before he could say what I knew he would say. "Shh...and yes" I whispered to him.

"Now" I face Leo. "You're my best friend and you're my neighbor on Willberry Street. Got it?"

"What's-"

"Got it!?"

"Yes! I got it!"

"Good...let's go!" We walk into a white shop that sells ice cream.

"Hello, Miss!" I say in my sweetest voice. A lady turns to face me and Leo.

"Leo this is Miss Evelyn," I say to him.

"Hello, again Leah!" Miss Evelyn smiles at me.

"Hello, Miss! This is my neighbor Leo!"

"Really?" Leo nods in response.

"Keeping up with your 'plan' I see..." I ignore Redwood.

"Ok, what kind of ice cream would you like? All the flavors are over here." She points to a lot of flavors of ice cream behind a magical glass protector.

"The usual please!" I say with a smile.

"Alright, how about your friend?"

Leo stares as he looks at all the flavors. "Can I have this one? It looks good." Leo asks me as he points to the dark chocolate moose.

"Alright then! Leo would like the chocolate moose to please!"

"Coming right up!" Miss Evelyn says. She turns and starts getting the ice cream.

"Here I'll pay," Leo says as he starts to take out some wizard's coins from his pocket.

"No..." I whisper and put his hand back in her pocket. "This is the muggle world remember?"

"Oh..." Leo sighs.

"I'll pay." I reach into my white bag and bring out 8 dollars. That's what the muggles use.

Miss Evelyn gives us the ice cream with spoons in little cups.

"Eight dollars?" I ask her.

"Right once again! You're very good." Miss Evelyn smiles. "Say hi to your father for me!"

"I will," I say as I give her the money. Leo and I both go outside to sit on one of the nearby benches.

"What's your 'usual'?" Leo asked once we sat down.

"One scoop of mint chocolate chip and one scoop of orange sherbert topped with sprinkles."

"Nice...I guess"

"Here. I know it's your first time trying the muggle ice cream." I whispered and put a spoonful of both scoops of ice cream into his bowl.

"Really? Thanks!" Leo gratefully tried it. "It's pretty good!"

I laughed as he started eating the chocolate moose.

"This one's really good!" Leo smiled. I started eating as well.

Summer Time Chapter 22 - Leo's Little Sister

After ice cream we walked back to my house, making sure we weren't being followed.

"Leah...the reason why I wanted to come over is that I wanted to tell you something important!" Leo smiled and held my hand.

"Yeah?" I raised an eyebrow.

Leo took a deep breath then said "I have a sister and she's-"

I cut him off "You have a sister!?" I asked in excitement. "And she's going to Hogwarts next year!? I'm so excited!"

"Yeah me too..." Leo looked a little down.

"What's wrong? That sounds like excellent news!" I smile.

"Oh, nothing..." He sighed and didn't say another word.

"You don't look ok, are you sure everything's alright?"

"Yeah!" Leo forced a smile. I just shrugged and we continued walking.

Of course, my mom and dad were waiting for us to come to the home. That's how all parents are! They were already at the door by the time we come back. Leo said his goodbyes and as soon as we got inside the house, there was silence than tons of questions that were spit in my face.

"What did you do?"

"Who did you see?"

"Where did you go?"

"Tell us everything!"

"Why did you come back so early?"

"When did you sit and talk?"

"What did you talk about?"

"Were there any strangers?"

"Did he protect you?"

"Do you like Leo?"

I stopped them at 'Do you like Leo?'

"Mom dad please!"

"What? We have the right to be curious on how your first date went!" My mom exclaimed.

"It wasn't a date, and Leo's only a friend," I say, making my way through.

"Leah!" My dad said.

"I want to be alone."

Summer Time Chapter 23 - How Redwood Got Here

I sigh and fly away turning into an owl. Honestly, I don't know who I like! I think rolling my eyes as I fly into my room.

"I'm sure you know." Redwood finally said after a whole day of being silent.

Oh yeah. You're here.

"You don't sound to excited."

Tell me...why are you here?

"Where?"

Here. In my head.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you."

I'm not so sure about that.

"You REALLY want me to tell you?"

Well Duh! Why would I be asking then? I wait for a minute, but Redwood doesn't say anything.

"And of course you don't answer!" I say furiously.

"Who are you talking too?" I turn to see Snowy with her head tilted to the side.

"Oh, I'm talking to no one!" I nervously laugh. "Here since you've been good." I get some seeds and put them into her bowl.

"Yay!" Snow cheers and eats them as fast as she can. I sigh and walk out of the room.

That was close. I think.

"Ok, well maybe I'll tell you...." Redwood started but stopped when a tree fell down in our small forest nearby.

Continue, continue, it's just a tree. I roll my eyes.

"Go check it out first."

What!? Why?

"Because if you want me to tell you to go..." Redwood didn't say another word.

Fine. I thought a little annoyed.

I then go through the kitchen and find the back door.

"Where you going Sweets?" my dad was baking with mom, but he must have seen me.

"A walk," I answer. "Be back soon!" I force a smile and put on my tennis shoes.

I'm going. Now can you tell me? I ask Redwood. He stays silent.

I roll my eyes and walk outside. My family's backyard has a path that leads down into the forest. I walk down the path and look around.

Nothing to be found.... I think.

"Keep going," Redwood said. I felt a jolt as my whole body moved forward as if on its own.

Redwood? Are you doing this?

"Maybe maybe not."

So annoying....

"I heard that!"

Heard what?

"I'm not annoying. Just wait till you get to know me better."

Do you plan on staying here for a while?

"No. Forever. Oh, look were here!" He said.

Don't try and get me off topic Redwood.

"No look." I feel my head turn on its own and I roll my eyes and look around.

Summer Time Chapter 24 - Back to the Pizzeria I Go

I little bit ahead, was an oak tree. It was the biggest oak tree I've ever seen.

"Oh, I guess you were right..." I said annoyed. That's when I noticed the tree was covering the path the lead farther into the woods.

I took out my wand and said "Wingardium Leviosa." The tree slowly rose into the air as I moved it.

Man, this thing must be heavy... I thought hoping my wand would be able to move it. I got the tree out the way while I was walking towards it.

"Look beneath the roots, what do you see?" Redwood asked.

Nothing. I think, examining the roots.

"Look again," Redwood said. This time I saw a corner of a black-and-white photo. I take it out and look at it. It seems to be a little familiar.

I've been here before though.... I think.

"That's because you have!" Redwood was the one annoyed this time.

This is Freddia Fazbear's Pizzeria! I smile, glad that I've figured that out.

"Not quite...." Redwood pointed at the sign with my finger. I read it again.

Freddy Fazbear's Pizzeria.... So the animatronics are still there? I ask.

"Some are. Some went away. Anyways. This is an old photo. This is where I was before I-" Redwood stopped himself right as he was about to say something that I thought was very important.

What?

"Never mind"

Redwood!

"Fine, I'll tell, you. Might as well,"

Okay then tell me!

"It was that NightSoul. He did something terrible.

Who the heck is NightSoul?

"Someone you don't want to mess with. Foxina is in danger, you have to save her."

You didn't answer my question. Who is NightSoul?

"I can't explain right now. Let's just say he's a 'Nightmare'."

I rarely have nightmares.

"The wrong kind of nightmare, that's not what I mean."

Okay then....

"He walks among them. He thinks he's one of them. But he's wrong. Everyone knows that."

Can you stop talking in riddles?

"Fine, he's an animaltronic."

That's all I needed to know. I smile and look at the photo again.

Does Foxina really need help again? I mean really!?

"She thinks he's a friend. And she trusts him."

Well, last time I was there, she didn't even mention him, so give me a reason to trust you!

"You just have to without a reason."

But-!

"No, you HAVE to."

No, I don't Redwood. You tried to kill me when I was stopping you from causing a fire!

"You didn't have too"

But I did!

"If you're not going to go there then I'll take you!"

What do you-AHH! I got cut off by me standing in front of Freddia Fazbear's Pizzeria. Did you just teleport me? And I didn't tell dad I'm physically leaving!

"To bad go inside"

"Fine! My gosh!" I rolled my eyes at him annoyed. I take a deep breath a walk inside to be greeted by Dan.

"Leah! Nice to see you again!" he says cheerfully.

"You too Dan!" I smile.

"If you want I can contact Foxina."

"Say no. You are going to be staying."

"No, no I'm fine, but I might stay awhile so can I please use my old guest room?"

"Of course! Anything for a friend."

"Thanks, Dan!" I wave and walk upstairs, carefully making sure I'm not seen.

Summer Time Chapter 25 - Watching the Theatre

When inside the guest room, I say "Redwood you didn't give me enough time to bring my stuff." I waited for a second, then my luggage from Hogwarts appeared on my bed.

"Your welcome."

I just rolled my eyes. "If you can do that, do you mind giving me nicer clothing?"

Redwood mumbled something that I couldn't quite understand, then some clothes appeared on top of my luggage.

There was a white blouse, navy blue shorts, long white socks, and some black flats.

"Wow, thanks!" I said as I started changing. As I do, I hear a voice singing.

Is that Goldia? I asked myself trying to listen to the faint voice that was underneath the floor.

"Shall we go see?" Redwood asked me.

I finish changing then open my mouth the say something, but before I could answer, black smoke surrounded me and a second later, I was in the theatre. Well, above the theatre.

What!? Redwood! Others might see me!

"No, they won't."

I paused. Should I really think that?

"Yes. you wanted to know who was singing, so I'm letting you know." I felt my head turn to the stage. "Just watch." I looked closer and saw Goldia swaying her hips to the beat of the song that was playing. I didn't recognize the song, but I was able to follow the words she was singing.

"Stay calm, stay calm..." Goldia sang in a low voice into the microphone. She then bent her knees so she was lower to the ground.

"I see your little friend." Redwood made my body turn to the audience.

You do? I looked around the first few rows and saw Foxina facing the stage and listening to the song Goldia sang.

"Foxina!" I shouted at the top of my lungs. "Aby! Can you hear me!?"

"No, she can't." Redwood forced my lips closed.

Why not?

"Reasons..."

What reasons? Before Redwood says anything, there a loud cheer as Goldia bows. She then disappears and reappears somewhere in the audience.

"Ready to go back?" Redwood asked once everyone was quiet again.

Sure. But a better question to you would be 'Why are we here?' I roll my eyes as Redwood teleports me. The last thing I see is Foxina's glowing green eyes turn in my direction before I get teleported. Wait. Aby's eyes aren't green. They're golden.

"They are. In fact, she is controlled by that Kitten thing." Redwood says annoyed.

What do you mean by that? I ask him, looking at myself in the mirror. I took out two hair bands and made a fishtail braid.

"That means she's in trouble!"

Foxina in trouble this, Foxina in trouble that....it's getting annoying! Aby knows how to protect herself very well. So you were talking about a NightSoul thing, is that why we are here?

"He was in that room with us. The question is.... Were you paying attention?" Redwood lifted my eyebrow lazily.

I glared at my reflection and softly patted the side of my face.

Please...stop doing that.

"Alright...miss bossy" Redwood mumbles.

"I heard that!" I accidentally say out loud.

That's when I hear footsteps coming up the stairs.

"Now you've done it," Redwood says as he takes controls of my body.
