Chapter 30: One Night Massacre

After being transported to the Animal Kingdom thanks to Rimuru's transportation magic, you and your army moved out to prepare the ambush that was to be laid out for Clayman's army.  While preparations were still underway, you made contact with Rimuru, who was being dressed in new Demon Lord attire by Shuna, through a crystal ball as your squad and your other subordinates that were needed by your side stood to your left. Mai held the crystal ball in front of you so that you were able to speak clearly into it.

"Things are looking good on our end. We've set up a nice area where we'll intercept their forces at the entrance of the Great Forest of Jura. The Lycanthrope's who are fast and volunteered to be decoys as pretend-refugees have agreed to pretend to be fleeing while they walk into the trap Geld set up for them. Once they walk into the designated zone, it'll be easy work from there." You relayed the progress of attack to Rimuru as you gestured Geld to come forward so he was in view for Rimuru to see on his end.

"The barren wasteland that was once my home, the ruins of the former Orc Kingdom of Orbic, will soon become a graveyard for Clayman's forces." Geld explained to Rimuru.

"So a nation that fell victim to Clayman's scheme will be the site of the final battle...What goes around comes around, huh?" Rimuru said as you huffed an ironic chuckle while nodding.

"We've fully analyzed and grasped the strength that Clayman's forces have, so victory is almost guaranteed at this point. Countermeasures have been placed for every possible scenario." You informed your slime partner.

"But the battle hasn't even started yet! You're awfully confident, aren't you?" Rimuru said as you pulled over Benimaru with a proud smile.

"It's all thanks to this guy." You said in praise of Benimaru while patting him firmly on the shoulder.

"When you two awakened, I acquired the gift of my unique skill 'Born Leader'. It allows me to read the enemy's every move as clearly as the flow of a river." Benimaru said with confidence of everything he's set up.

"Sheesh..." Rimuru said in awe of how much more amazing Benimaru has become.

"A skill that fits him perfectly, don't you agree, Shuna?" You called out to the Kijin princess as she poked her head in.

"Yes!" Shuna responded with a giggle before popping out to fix the seams on Rimuru's coat.

"On that note, I've come up with a strategy." Benimaru said as you let him take the stage for a bit.

"What is it?" Rimuru asked in wonder.

"Given the occasion, I thought we could destroy Clayman's castle that is said to lie beyond the mist." Benimaru said as Rimuru was confused by a part of that sentence.

"Given what occasion? That seems kinda dangerous." Rimuru said with concern.

"Not to worry. Souei and Hakurou will be the ones to infiltrate it. They are both eager to--!" Benimaru was suddenly interrupted by his sister speaking up and walking into frame.

"Wait, Brother!" Shuna surprised her brother as you raised your brow.

"Okay...What is it, Shuna?" Benimaru asked in confusion of his little sister's sudden outburst.

"Do you even have to ask? The Demon Lord Clayman has a very dangerous power that allows him to control others! What if he took control of Souei or Hakurou?" Shuna spoke of a possible risk in his plan.

"He won't. They're not going to--!" Benimaru was about to reassure her, but Shuna wasn't having it.

"No!" Shuna yelled, surprising her brother greatly as he flinched from her voice being raised suddenly. "If you insist on doing this...I will go, as well." Shuna said firmly with strong resolve.

"Whoa, hang on!" Rimuru said in shock of her decision.

"As much as I like that burning passion to keep your comrades safe, I cannot allow a non-combatant like yourself onto the dangerous battlefield that is his domain. You're are of too much importance to us and our nation." You spoke as the commander of this front.

"Great Rimuru. Great Y/N." You heard Souei's voice on Rimuru's side as he seemed to have arrived upon hearing this scenario Shuna wanted to be a part of.

"Whoa!" Rimuru flinched in shock of Souei's arrival as he walked into frame of the crystal ball.

"You need not worry. I will protect Princess Shuna myself." Souei offered his defenses for the Kijin princess as Hakurou stepped forward next to you.

"I will be there, as well. It is possible Lord Carrion is being held in the enemy's castle keep. It seems an investigation is necessary." Hakurou said as they were making a fair argument for Shuna's deployment as you put your hand to your chin deep in thought.

"Great Rimuru, Great Y/N, I'm angry, too. I'm struggling to suppress my desire to see Clayman pay for his actions!" Shuna pleaded with you both.

"O-Okay, okay. I know how you feel." Rimuru said as he took a moment to think before he sighed and smiled at the Kijin Princess. "All right. I'll allow you to join them. Just ask Y/N now." Rimuru said as this pleased Shuna.

"Thank you!" Shuna said gratefully as she turned to the crystal ball with a pleading look as you stared at her for a few moments before you huffed in defeat.

"Honda." You raised your hand and called forward your squad member as the Ankylosaur humanoid stepped up behind you. "I'll have you join their attack squad for this mission. With Geld's forces, our frontline on this side should be sufficient. They could use a frontline warrior for the raid, and I don't know anyone else better suited for the job. Guard her with your life. Should she come back with even so much as a scratch, not even your armor will protect you from my punishment." You ordered him without even turning your head to Honda as he pounded one fist against his armored chest.

"Leave it to me." Honda said as he was in a serious mode, casting aside any rivalry between you two, as you nodded.

"Shuna's safety is your top priority. Got it?" Rimuru said to all those who would accompany her on the raid of Clayman's castle.

"Thank you for accommodating Shuna's selfish whims." Benimaru said with gratitude as he bowed his head to you.

"I can transport, so if there's any trouble, I'll be fine." Shuna said to try and reassure you two that she would be okay.

"True. I would likely be slower to escape than her." Hakurou said with a humored tone as you chuckled and Rimuru smiled from the humor.

"We have resistance to mind attacks, so it's unlikely we would be in danger regardless, but with Princess Shuna there, we have no reason for concern. As for Lord Carrion, we will decide what to do once we locate him." Souei said to further raise the confidence you two had in them.

"Make sure you're always aware of what's happening. Our plan will be set in motion the moment the new day begins, right before Walpurgis starts. Got it?" Rimuru said to them all.

"Understood." Your subordinates all said in unison.

"Also, there are only 100 Dragon Faithful among Clayman's forces." Souei spoke up to get some last minute info out to Rimuru.

"What are Dragon Faithful?" Rimuru asked in wonder.

"Those who worship Milim, the Dragon Princess." Souei explained as you two had the image of Milim flash in your heads.

"Hmm...Milim's subordinates, huh? Wait, I thought she didn't have subordinates...So does that mean they just choose to worship her?" Rimuru said in contemplation of their relationship with Milim.

"Well, it's only 100 of them, so it shouldn't be a risk to the operation. If anything happens, I'll have my squad intervene." You said to them.

"Indeed." Souei said before Rimuru watched him vanish to return to his duties and set off for the operation he would be a part of later.

"Now, let's get you all ready. Stay still, okay?" Shuna said while holding up a sewing pin and a smile.

"Oho?" You hummed as Rimuru looked to see you staring intently at him through the crystal ball.

"What?" Rimuru asked you.

"Rimuru...Aren't you like..." You trailed off as he raised his brow in wonder of what you were going to say. "...Super freakin' cute?" You asked as the others were surprised and Rimuru's face broke out in a blush.

"Oh my!" Shuna said with an excited blush on her face.

"S-Shut up! I've gotta get ready! Bye!" Rimuru said as he swiftly cut the connection as he stood there bashfully while Shuna giggled and stitched up his clothes. "Jeez! The nerve of him to say that with the way he looks hot now after getting his new body..." Rimuru thought in annoyance as the pink hue spread farther across his face.

"My Lord..." Mai muttered in an intimidating aura as you gasped in shock of how angry she looked and quickly turned back to everyone.

"T-The operation! Move to the final phase of the operation!" You called out to everyone as you quickly scurried off to avoid Mai's wrath.

After final preparations were complete, all phases for the coordinated attack against Clayman's army were set and all that was left was for them to walk into the valley where you all would trap them in. Night fell upon the lands as you could hear the marching of their forces in the distance, signaling they had entered the valley as you walked over to stare down at them as their force was pinned between two tall and long cliff sides. Benimaru stood beside you as the Beastketeers and your squad were behind you both as you stared at those who would soon be massacred by your forces.

"As we planned, Clayman's forces are being lured into Geld's trap. We'll find it harder to lose than to win." Benimaru spoke of how advantageous your side was in this scenario.

"This battle is as good as over. After all this, the enemy will have no way to recover." Albis said as she stared down at the forces below.

"Oh, Miss Albis."Benimaru wanted to ask something of the Golden Serpent, but she wanted to correct something in his speech.

"Please call me 'Albis', Sir Benimaru. The same may apply to you, Great Y/N." Albis said as she lowered her head before you two.

"You're not my subordinate." Benimaru said to her.

"Yes, that is true. But for the moment, we Lycanthropes are entrusting you two with the command of our ranks." Albis explained as you smirked at an idea.

"I like the way you sound, Albis." You said as you gestured with your hand to Benimaru. "General, from this point forward until the end of this campaign, Albis will be your aide. Make good use of her." You instructed him as he nodded.

"I understand. I accept." Benimaru said as you glanced back at Albis.

"Any objections, Albis?" You asked her as she shook her head before lowering it in respect.

"I accept, Great Y/N." Albis said humbly.

"That said, there isn't much work left to do. Our victory is already in sight." Benimaru said as Albis stepped forward to join you three at the edge of looking down on Clayman's forces.

"Yes, I agree. However...It seems a few powerful adversaries still remain." Albis said as the presence of strong individuals was apparent among their army.

"Yes. Once we've grasped the course of events, we'll send in Geld's team." Benimaru said as Suphia suddenly ran in front of you three, standing by Albis.

"Hang on! Let us handle that mission!" Suphia begged as Phobio joined her side.

"Please, Supreme Commander! This is the Lycanthropes' homeland. If we let you do everything, Lord Carrion will be furious with us!" Phobio said as Albis couldn't help but smile at her comrades's ambitions as she stepped forward to face you both.

"Sir Benimaru, Great Y/N, we will entrust the command of the army to you, so please give the three of us the order to eliminate the leader of the enemy army." Albis spoke with a respectful and hopeful smile.

"Please!" Suphia and Phobio threw their heads down in a pleading manner as you grinned at them.

"You sly snake..." You chuckled as you put your hand on your hip. "Using my appearance in this battlefield as your chance to run rampant, huh?" You asked her as she didn't remove her sly smile.

"Oh? Whatever do you mean?" Albis said playfully as you just huffed in amusement and waved her off to Benimaru as he was also amused.

"All right. Seems like you'll have your way. We had planned to include you three in the attack, anyway. But if it starts to look like you can't win, withdraw immediately. There are some among the enemy ranks that we cannot be careless with." Benimaru urged them to prioritize their own survival.

"Yes, we are aware." Albis said as you all peered over the edge to see the army below was almost fully entered in the valley.

"The trap should be activated soon." Suphia commented.

"What will we do with those who are caught in the trap?" Albis asked you and Benimaru.

"I'd like to say we'll kill them all, but..." Benimaru trailed off as he looked to you as you stood there with your arms crossed as you tapped your finger on your arm to signal your decision in silence as he nodded. "...we're going to leave that decision to you Lycanthropes." He said.

"What do you mean?" Albis asked in confusion.

"Any who lose the will to defy us will be taken prisoner." Benimaru said as the other two Beastketeers turned to Benimaru upon hearing this information. "Great Rimuru and Great Y/N most likely intend to make laborers of them. You want to rebuild your capital, don't you? You'll want as many hands as you can get." Benimaru said as they looked to you in shock as you stood there with a silent smile.

"You two even thought of that?" Albis asked you as you just remained silent.

"Of course, that's only if everything goes according to plan." Benimaru said as he looked towards you and you nodded in confirmation to him for the plan to begin. "It's time." Benimaru said as everyone prepared themselves, but you raised your left hand, and behind you came Lilia, Riza, and Mai.

"You three, I have a little addition to the plan I want to add." You spoke up as Benimaru looked to you in wonder of this addition as your three squad members came closer.

Clayman's forces continued to march through the valley, unknown of the threat that surrounded them as two strange shadows flew above them, but they paid no mind. Around the middle of the pack, a few soldiers noticed some rocks and pebbles suddenly slide down the side of the cliff on their left as they looked up in wonder of what was above them. Looking up and slowing the flow of the march, the soldiers saw Lilia stand above them on a small ledge as the moon shined down on her to illuminate her clearly for all to see. Lilia smiled with a glint in her eye as she performed a few martial art punches and kicks, catching their attention before she did a backflip and pointed towards them all while passing along her last words to them.

"Burn them all!" Lilia echoed through the valley as the sound of wings became audible, followed by the sound of the air being sliced through as the army turned forward in shock.

Looking ahead, Clayman's forces couldn't even react in time as they saw two shines of different light, one being purple and the other shining like a rainbow. These were revealed to be beam attacks as the only thing the soldiers who were in their path could do was scream as they were completely engulfed and turned into ash. Mai and Riza both flew above and along the valley as the fired their beams in a continuous stream, creating a massive chain of explosions that wiped out an unbelievable amount of soldiers in an instant. The two of them flew up high in the air and ceased their attacks as they stared down at the devastating blow they had dealt to the enemy, as they had initiated the beginning of the war that would also end this night.

"Incredible..." Albis said as she and the other Beastketeers looked to Mai and Riza in awe as you signaled to Benimaru with your hand.

"Geld, begin." Benimaru contacted the Orc Lord as his forces lined along the sides of the cliffs were ready.

"Understood." Geld responded as he opened his eyes and stood up from the cover he and his Orcs were hidden behind, all of them dawned in heavy armor. "Begin!" Geld yelled to his forces.

"Yes, sir!" They all responded as they stood up along the edges just above the army, shocking the soldiers below as they watched the Orcs raise their legs before all suddenly stomping onto the ground, creating unbelievable shockwaves in the ground where Clayman's army stood.

Clayman's army could only scream in fear and terror as holes suddenly opened up below them, making them fall a great distance to their death. While many of them fell, there were soldiers who were capable of flight as they used their wings to escape the pit fall. Though their escape was short lived as Gabiru and his Dragonewts were already in position and swiftly cut them down from the sky.

"Don't let a single man escape!" Gabiru ordered his forces.

"Yeah, we know!" Skellow said in reassurance before flying in with the rest of the troop.

"HHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHH!!!!!!!!!" Gabiru roared as he charged up a powerful attack before spinning around his trident as the water from the air pooled around it violently. "Vortex Crash!" He yelled as he fired a powerful and massive jet stream of water, cutting down more of the soldiers that flew in the air.

"Sir Gabiru, you're so awesome!" Yashichi said in amazement as Riza kicked down a solider that was about to attack him for letting his guard down.

"Hey! Focus!" Riza yelled in annoyance as Yashichi was too amazed to hear her, but his senses snapped back as he avoided another attacker and swiftly cut him down.

"Hey, watch it!" Yashichi said as Riza rolled her eyes and flew off in another direction.

The soldiers on the ground that managed to not get incinerated or fall to their death, climbed back up to try and regroup, but once they made it back to ground level, all they were met with were the blades and weapons of the High Orcs as they knocked them back down into the holes, sending them to their demise. With the battle in full swing, the rest of your forces moved in to attack as the battle was completely one-sided, favoring you all. Lilia would bounce through the battlefield, using her fists, kicks, and tail to smash her opponent's bodies into pieces all while dancing around their attacks with a smile. Mai and Riza flew back to back with one another as they readied their beams and fired at the troops below them, creating a ring of explosions and fire while you, Benimaru, and the Beastketeers watched as Clayman's forces were dwindling.

"I didn't expect it to be this one-sided..." Albis said in disbelief.

"We've won." Benimaru said as Albis turned to both of you.

"That was truly brilliant." Albis said in amazement of how incredible this operation was.

"Of course. That's exactly why we can't get careless. I'm just going to do my job while Great Y/N watches over me." Benimaru said as you nodded while continuing to watch the battle as Benimaru assumed control. "Albis, Suphia, Phobio, the Three Beastketeers...I permit the three of you to act on your own. Go and defeat the enemy leader!" Benimaru gave them their one wish for this battle.

"I've been waiting for you to say that!" Suphia pumped her fist with excitement.

"We finally get to bust some heads! I can smell the bastards who framed me. I'm going after them." Phobio said as he was itching for some payback.

"Then I will go, as well. We leave the rest to you, Sir Benimaru, Great Y/N." Albis said as you turned to her.

"Have fun, kiddos." You said as you let them run wild.

"Go!" Benimaru said as they scattered, vanishing from their spots to claim justice for their home and people.

"Are you sure you don't wanna join the fun, Benimaru?" You asked as he stepped over to your side.

"Well, if they were a bit stronger, I'm sure I would've found a way to find some form of entertainment, but it doesn't seem like that'll happen." Benimaru said with a hint of boredom as you chuckled.

"You really are muscle-headed sometimes." You poked some fun at him as he furrowed his brow at you in annoyance. "Though, I doubt I could've come up with a plan greater than this on my own. You really are amazing, General." You said to him as he was surprised by your words, but gladly accepted your praise.

"Thank you, Great Y/N." Benimaru said as you two began walking along the cliffside while staring down at the enemy as they were being pushed back greatly.

While you walked along the edge, you observed closely as the cries of war echoed from the valley below. You could also feel the air becoming heavy, magicules rising and being attracted towards you. Deciding that you didn't need to inform Benimaru about what you could see, you just silently breathed in the magicules as your dorsal plates dimly pulsed white. You and Benimaru continued to watch from a distance as you sensed where the powerful foes were located and doing battle. Somewhere in the forest, Geld and Phobio were fighting the two masked clowns that worked with Clayman, in another direction was Suphia, Gabiru, and Riza who seemingly joined them as they fought against an enemy who's power was subtle, but denser than those around it. Last was the location you sensed Albis was in as she did battle with who you assumed was Yamza. You stared off in that direction as you sensed a strange feeling coming from there as you watched far off smoke and purple lightning rise in the air. You heard the sound of someone landing behind you as you turned your head to see Mai walk up to your side.

"I've returned, my Lord." Mai announced gracefully, but grew surprised when you suddenly gave her head pats.

"Good job, Mai. Take a rest now." You said to her as she blushed from your affection.

"T-Thank you..." Mai muttered bashfully as you turned back to the war and sensed its end nearing.

"Well, what should we do now? This thing ended a lot faster than we anticipated." You said to Benimaru.

"Perhaps we should regroup with the Beastketeers. If they're in need of assistance, I may be able to aid them." Benimaru said before you raised your hand and stopped walking, signaling to them to stop. "What is it?" He asked in wonder as you furrowed your brow while staring in the direction that you could sense Albis.

"Something's happened near Albis." You said as Benimaru and Mai picked up on it also. "Both of you, head over and check on it. Now." You said as the two of them quickly hurried off in that direction. "This smell...It's annoyingly familiar..." You muttered while continuing to walk in along the cliff, slowly making your way in that direction as a bright purple light shined in the distance, along with a guttural roar that echoed through the valley.

Mai flew high above the valley as she made her way to Albis as fast as she could, but as she grew closer, the stronger she could feel an evil presence forming ahead of her. Just then, a strange blizzard of snow suddenly popped up, making her stop midflight as she covered herself and her face cautiously.

"W-What is this? Snow? How?" Mai thought in confusion as she stayed on guard for a possible attacker.

"HYYAAAAAAHHH!!!" Mai recognized this yell as Albis as there was an explosion in the crevice ahead of her.

"Albis-san!" Mai said with worry as she flew off to where she heard her from

"You accursed monster!" Albis yelled in rage as Mai saw her floating in the air in an enhanced serpent form as she dawned a gold horn on her head.

"Albis-san!" Mai called out as the Golden Serpent saw her approach her side.

"Stay back!" Albis warned as there was another huge gust of wind, making them cover themselves as Mai's eyes widened in shock as she saw the source of this terrible power.

"It can't be...Charybdis?!"  Mai said in shock of the monster's sudden return.

"Albis-san!" Mai called out to the Golden Serpent as she turned to her. "A coordinated assault!" She advised as Mai flew to one side of Charybdis, and Albis floated over him on the other.

The two girls yelled as they fired a beam and stream of purple lightning at Charybdis, only for it to have no effect at all. The Beast roared as it flew higher and began exiting the valley as it approached the area where both armies were located. Riza, who had arrived a few moments after, flew down closer as she joined Albis and Mai regrouped with them.

"Mai! Albis! Can we stop this thing?" Riza yelled through the loud air of the blizzard.

"N-No! We don't have enough fire power!" Mai responded.

"Damn! All we can do is help those who can to flee!" Albis said in frustration of their powerlessness against the Calamity Class Monster.

"That's a violation of orders, Albis." The three girls heard Benimaru's voice in their heads as he established communication with them, surprising the girls. "Did I not tell you to withdraw if you couldn't win?" He asked as Mai felt the air becoming dryer and hotter as the blizzard suddenly evaporated into nothing.

"Watch out!" Mai yelled as she pulled the two girls away from Charybdis.

Within moments of the monster's defenses suddenly being lower, Benimaru fell from above the beast and with a single downward slash with his blade, he cut through the armored body of Charybdis like it was butter. The girls looked at him in surprise of his entrance as he glared up at the beast in front of him. Moments after being cut, Charybdis's body suddenly split in two as black flames erupted from the wounds it suffered and Benimaru stood up straight while resting his blade over his shoulder as the girls landed behind him.

"Hmph, took you long enough." Riza said with an irritated smirk as Mai chopped her on top of her head lightly.

"Hey, Riza. Benimaru got here as fast he could." Mai scolded her as Albis couldn't believe her eyes as she stared at the beast, noticing something incredible as it burned.

"What? He cut it...Not only that, but Black Flame is preventing it from regenerating?" Albis thought in disbelief as Benimaru looked down on his foe.

"Charybdis, you present the perfect opportunity to test the power I have now...But now is not the time for that, so let's just end this." Benimaru said as he lifted and aimed his right hand to the monster. "Sorry. If you were in your complete state, I would've loved to play with you." Benimaru said as he grinned at the beast before it was suddenly trapped in a sphere of his magicules. "Begone! Hell Flare!" Benimaru incinerated Charybdis in a sphere of black flames with ease as Albis watched the Calamity Class Monster vanish into the flames as nothing was left behind when Benimaru's attack ended.

"Are you kidding me?" Albis said in shock of what this man had just accomplished with ease.

"Albis, I have business to attend to. As of this moment, you will assume command of all troops as my aide." Benimaru said to her as she stood nervously and awkwardly in front of the man.

"U-Understood, Sir Benimaru." Albis responded as the sound of running came closer to them and Mai turned to see two individuals run up to them and stop a few meters away as Suphia and Benimaru trailed behind them.

"What?! He just achieved the unbelivable without breaking a sweat!" An middle aged bald man wearing light purple robes said in disbelief as a young man with white hair in the same attire stood beside him in shock.

"What the heck is he? A Demon Lord? Lady Milim was one thing, but can an ordinary majin pull off a feat like that? He's definitely a monster." The young white haired male said in disbelief as Suphia and Gabiru walked closer to them all.

"That was Sir Benimaru's..." Gabiru muttered in slight confusion as Suphia walked up to the Dragonewt.

"Hey, what's going on? Explain it to me, too!" Suphia demanded as she turned to the young male with white hair who she knew as Hermes, as the bald one was Father Middray.

"Well...I'd love to do that, but..." Hermes trailed off as Middray furrowed his hairless brow as he looked to Benimaru.

"It appears that won't be necessary." Middray muttered as he watched Benimaru approach him slowly with his blade over his shoulder before firmly planting his foot down a few feet away from him.

"Hey. I hear you've taken very good care of some of my men." Benimaru said in a firm, standoff-ish tone.

"H-He's..." Hermes muttered nervously as he saw the fierce glare Benimaru was giving Middray, as the Father priest returned a similar glare to the Kijin General.

"Wait, Sir Benimaru!" Suphia and Gabiru ran in between the two of them nervously as they raised their hands to Benimaru.

"These men are subordinates of Lady Milim!" Gabiru informed as he gestured to all those dress in robes and looked like humans. "They are the warrior priests of the Dragon Faithful!" He explained as Suphia nervously and frantically nodded in confirmation.

"What? Lady Milim's? Then..." Benimaru trailed off as Gabriu continued.

"Yes! They even healed our wounds with their magic!" Gabiru explained as Yashichi and Kakushin came forward to his side.

"W-We're all safe!" Yashichi said with a nervous smile.

"No need to worry!" Kakushin said as Gabiru's loyal Dragonewt friends defended the stance of the Draon Faithful.

"Benimaru-san..." Mai stood by Benimaru's side as he nodded to her and closed his eyes understandingly.

"I see. Perhaps I was a bit hasty. You seemed like you'd be the biggest challenge on this battlefield, so I was instantly wary of you." Benimaru said with an amused grin as Middray was also humored by his words.

"Ahahahahaha! You weren't being hast at all! I only healed their wounds in preparations for a much greater disaster!" Middray said with a hearty, rough yet excited accent.

"I see. What now, then? Would you like to fight us?" Benimaru asked in an instigating tone.

"Huh?" Mai said with a surprised and confused face.

"Indeed...What shall we do?" Middray said with a curious grin on his face.

"As for us, we would rather not stir up trouble with Lady Milim's people." Benimaru said as he slowly put his sword away behind him.

"Hmm, true. I would love to fight, but that doesn't mean I want war. I only wish to find out which of us is stronger." Middray said as all the troops on both sides were getting extremely nervous from the way they were talking.

"I can relate to that." Benimaru agreed as the two were raring to go at one another in a bout, shocking all your allies with terrified looks on their faces in fear of what hell they would raise from clashing.

The two of them would take only one more step closer before the others would get in their way and intervene to not let this fight happen at all costs. Mai was tugging on Benimaru's cloak, Gabiru and his friends stood in front of Benimaru while Hermes stepped in front of Middray, and Suphia stood on the side in between them with her hands up to both men.

"Whoa!!!!!!!" Hermes yelled out in a panic as he looked at Middray in disbelief and shock. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! That's a bad idea!" He said while waving his hands around in a cold-sweat.

"That's right, Sir Benimaru! Who knows what disasters will befall us on the day we harm Lady Milim's men?!" Gabiru said as he was terrified of what kind of future that would bring.

"Rimuru and Y/N are Lady Milim's friend! It would be a horrific tragedy for sure!" Hermes yelled in a panic.

"I know that!" Both Benimaru and Middray yelled out in frustration, shocking and stunning everyone as the two men just stared at each other normally.

"If I don't fight with the intention to kill, I'll most likely lose. And I don't get into fights I'm bound to lose." Benimaru aired his side of the conversation.

"Hmm, good point." Middray said as he cast aside all intentions of duking it out with Benimaru as he walked over and gave a firm pat on the General's back. "I doubt I could survive the attack you buried Charybdis with, either! Ahahahahaha!" Middray broke out into playful laughter while repeatedly patting Benimaru on the back as the red Kijin could only smile awkwardly at the horse play.

"Pwahhhhh...." Suphia and Hermes leaned and slouched against one another in mental exhaustion as this situation was too intense for them to handle mentally.

"What's with all the commotion? What's this about Milim I hear?" A voice called out as Mai's ears perked up from recognition as she smiled and got up running, as everyone turned to see a silhouette walking towards them.

"My Lord!" Mai called out happily as Middray turned in the direction she ran in and looked to the approaching person.

Middray's eyes turned from a look of wonder into a look of shock and disbelief as he froze from the sight of terrifying blue eyes that seemingly stared directly into his soul. Middray could feel unbelievable power coming from the darkness as the person stepped out of the shadows to reveal you as your eyes glowed blue.

"You're slow." Mai ran up to you with a pout as you smiled awkwardly.

"Ahaha, sorry. I had to pick this one up." You said while patting her on the head and walking pass her as Lilia showed up behind you and waved to Mai as you approached the group.

"Who is this?" Middray asked in a shaky tone as Benimaru and the other noticed the strange behavior of the Dragon Faithul, and how they all seemed nervous from your appearance.

"This is Great Y/N..." Benimaru said as you stopped with a raised brow.

"Hm? What's with them? Are these Milim's subordinates?" You thought in wonder before realizing what might be off putting to them. "Oh, they must be able to sense how much power I've gathered from the battlefield. Well, it's not like it's power I already had, but it's enough to make someone think its an incredible amount." You thought as you stopped absorbing the magicules from the battlefield as your eyes returned to normal and your dorsal plates stopped pulsing. "Nice to meet you all. I'm Y/N Tempest. I hope Milim has told you good things about me." You said with a kind smile as you extended your hand out to Middray, surprising the Father priest with your sudden demeanor change, but he shook off this feeling and took your hand.

"Haha, I never thought I'd be able to meet one of the individuals Lady Milim calls her Bestie." Middray said as you two shared a handshake. "Incredible...Just from shaking his hand alone tells me a portion of power he has is enough to wipe us all out in an instant. Truly incredible." He thought to himself as you kept smiling kindly at him.

"Nice work, Benimaru." You praised him as Benimaru nodded and you turned your head in another direction. "It looks as though Geld and Phobio have finished their battle, also." You said as Geld suddenly made contact with the General.

"Sir Benimaru, the clows escaped." Geld informed him as Benimaru looked in the same direction you were looking to.

"I know. They probably thought they were sparing our lives. How naive." Benimaru responded as your forces and Milim's subordinate got to work healing the injured and organizing the prisoners.

"Don't be rough with the prisoners! If any are injured, treat them!" Gabiru instructed everyone as those on Clayman's side who lost the will to fight, willingly surrendered and sought out aid from your side.

"Geld..." You established a connection to Geld as he was surprised to hear your voice. "You kept Phobio safe and made the enemy show their hand. You couldn't have done a finer job. Rimuru and I will go over and analyze their secrets and what makes them strong, and soon enough we'll expose them for who they really are to the entire world. Rest well, you earned it." You praised him as you cut off the connection and looked to the sky in wonder.

"My Lord?" Lilia tilted her head at you in wonder of what you were thinking before gasping in shock and backing away when she the terrifying look in your eye.

"Rimuru...?" You muttered as your eyes suddenly turned bright blue and your power suddenly began leaking out, causing everyone to lose balance for a moment and stand in shock. "...You're angry?" You muttered before a growl escaped your throat and one of your eyes pulsed red.

"G-Great Y/N...?!" Benimaru could barely stay on his feet as your power further expanded, shocking everyone in the area.

"W-What's wrong...My Lord...?!" Mai pleaded to know what ailed you, but gasped in shock and worry as red sparks surged off your dorsal plates and they flashed red and blue while your body trembled seemingly with rage.

"Clayman..." You muttered as Benimaru was shocked when your dark blue aura suddenly shifted and a red violent aura mixed with the blue aura as your fangs were bared and one eye turned completely red with rage. "What have you done...?!" You growled as things on your side ended without problem, but you could feel something had gone wrong at the banquet of Demon Lords that your friend was attending at his own risk, Walpurgis.
