A/n: It is currently 11/23/2023, or in shorter terms, Thanksgiving! Thank you guys so much for giving this story your time, I am grateful for all your support. I'm sorry this one took longer to get out, but with the stopping point I wanted the chapter to end on, I ended up writing a lot more than usual. Hopefully you guys enjoy, and before anyone ask, I did have to scale back the power level of the reader a bit right now to allow the chance of growing stronger to come in later chapters. This way he's not outright blasting anything he comes across into nothingness. Hope you guys understand, I want the reader to become stronger with each new evolution or skill he gains, but also at points in the story, match the power level of the other characters to a certain degree. The Next Morning

After gaining the trust of the Fuze and Youm who have decided to extend their stay at your exquisite home and village, the rest of the night was spent in peace with a quick shower for you with the girls, and a nice long sleep with Milim, who once again clung to your side for some reason. When morning came, Milim set off to fetch dinner with Kaval and his party while you were just left at the village to tend to whatever needed attention. Though with the lack of any issues that needed your level of attention, the first half of the day was spent walking around doing nothing really. Seeing that there was so much free time at your expense, you decided to use that time to go and pay respects to Shizu's grave as you climbed the hill it was located on once more. You were laying peacefully on the ground next to her grave as you looked down upon your land with a grateful smile.

"Hey, Shizu...I wish you could see how happy everyone here is..." You spoke in a soft tone as a gentle breeze blew through the air, and you took that as a reply from her. "Right, you're always gonna be a part of us, huh?" You said with a gentle bellow as you closed your eyes to attempt to take a nap.

Before you could enjoy a nice mid-day nap though, something caught your attention as there was this feeling that tingled all of your senses in the wrong way, as if something terrible had happened.

"My Lord!" You heard a voice call out from above as you looked to Riza, who had a more red-toned skin color after being named by you, speeding towards you as she quickly landed in front of you as you stood up.

"What's wrong? What's this presence I'm sensing?" You asked in concern of what was happening.

"A dryad has appeared, claiming to be the younger sister of Treyni. She's come to warn us of a great calamity that heads our way." Riza explained as you were confused.

"What calamity?" You asked Riza.

"A terrible, calamity-class monster, Charybdis, has apparently been revived. It's violence seems to equal that of a Demon Lord." Riza said with a concerned and serious tone.

"Let's head back." You said as you were about to run back down the hill.

"Wait, my Lord!" Riza called out as you stopped in your tracks and turned to her. "My way of getting back is much faster for the both of us." Riza said as she took to the air once more, and you decided to trust her judgement.

Quickly grabbing your shoulders with her feet, Riza lifted you with shocking strength and began to fly you over the small wooded area below you and back into the village. You were nervous at first at how long she could hold you, since you knew you were no light animal, but to your surprise when you looked up, she didn't even look like she was breaking a sweat. Seeing that this was no problem for her, you decided to shake off your worries for her and focused your worries to this calamity monster that was approaching your home as Riza quickly descended to the town hall where Rimuru and the others were located, along with the Dryad who would explain the situation. After regrouping with Rimuru and the others in the meeting room, the Dryad who you learned was called Trya, was ready to explain in greater detail what was happening.

"Charybdis was born long, long ago, and has died and revived many times. It is a violent Ruler of the Skies. No less is expected of the child of Veldora, the ruler and guardian of the forest." Trya just dropped a massive reveal that surprised both you and Rimuru.

"Veldora's child?" You and Rimuru both said in surprise.

"Charybdis was generated from a cloud of Veldora's magicules." Trya explained the true origin of this Charybdis monster as Rimuru glanced over to you.

"So does that mean Charybdis and I are sort of like brothers? Oh, so is it coming this way because it's after me? Maybe it's figured out that Veldora is inside me..." Rimuru asked you through Thought Communication.

"I'm sure there's more to it than that, but for the most part, it's a possibility we can't rule out." You responded to his assumption as you two remained silent to continue listening to any more information from anyone else in the room as all the important figure heads of your village were here, along with Fuze, Kaval, Eren, and Gido.

"If Charybdis has revived, it is a threat greater than a Demon Lord. Unlike a Demon Lord, this is not an opponent we can speak with." Fuze laid out the grave danger that this beast posed.

"You might as well call it a monster with no intelligence. It's said that it calls shark-like summon monsters called Megalodons from the spirit world to join it in its rampage." Vesta, who was also attending this meeting spoke of a critical skill this monster possessed.

"What the heck? That sounds worse than the Orc Lord..." Rimuru said in disbelief.

"Didn't Megalodon exist in our world? Could it be that it had the power to summon creatures from our world to here? This is crazy...also, there was a movie about Megalodons, one of the last ones I watched before I died..." You thought in shock of the similarities this world shared with your old one.

"The situation could not be worse. Its summoned Megalodons have occupied some lesser dragon corpses that were nearby for some unknown reason." Trya informed you all of this terrible news, but it was too confusing for you and Rimuru to understand.

"Huh?" You and Rimuru both muttered in confusion as you tried to imagine what that would look like.

"They number thirteen." Trya informed you of the number of enemies that were heading this way as you imagined flying sharks in a horrific sky.

"So there's one beast as bad as a Demon Lord, and thirteen flying sharks that it summoned? What the hell kind of joke is this?" Rimuru asked you with Though Communication.

"If we were back Japan, we could have made a movie out of this situation..." You responded to him as you two stared at each other with nervous looks.

"Great Rimuru, Great Y/N, what shall we do?" Shuna asked as you two turned to her.

"What do we do? I mean..." Rimuru was unsure of how to answer as a strange chuckle sounded behind you two and you turned to the seat on your right to see Milim with a cocky smirk and her arms crossed across another cute outfit Shuna made for her.

"Haven't you forgotten something important? That stupid Charybdis..." Milim suddenly stood up in her chair as she grabbed the hem of her outfit and ripped it off to reveal her Demon Lord clothing underneath. "...is no match for me! I'll whoop its butt in no time!" Milim exclaimed with confidence as you two had a ray of hope in front of you both.

"Oh, yeah! That's one way!" You and Rimuru both thought in unison as you felt a sense of relaxation wash over you, but...

"We cannot do that." Shion suddenly interrupted the moment as you and Milim turned to her with stunned faces. "This is our town's problem." Shion suddenly spoke with a high sense of pride.

"Hey, secretary! Don't turn her down for us!" Rimuru was in shock of how fast Milim's offer of help was shot down, while this denial of assistance had you like...

"Huh? But I'm their besti--!" Milim was about to try and insist on this opportunity of help, but another shocking voice spoke up.

"She's right." Shuna spoke up as Milim turned towards the pink Kijin princess who had a peaceful smile on her face. "It's wrong to rely on you for everything just because you're a friend. When Great Rimuru and Great Y/N are in desperate need of help, we would certainly appreciate your assistance then." Shuna said as this had you like...

"Uh, we're in pretty desperate need now!" Rimuru thought for the both of you as you were too shocked for your brain to work at the moment, and both you and Milim had your heads down in the dumps. "A-Ahaha...They're right, Milim. Just have faith in us." Rimuru said as he raised your head and turned it away in the same direction as his to hide both yours and his own worried looks.

"And I thought...I'd finally get my chance to shine...Milim began to lightly weep in sadness.

"Well, it seems like it's after me. We can't rely too much on Milim." Rimuru thought as he decided to leave you and Milim to sulk while he carried on with the meeting. "Begin preparations to defeat Charybdis!" He gave out the order as all your people in the room got to their feet instantly.

"Yes, sir!" They all replied as they began leaving the room, while the others who weren't from your village remained.

"Defeat it? Are you sure you understand? You're up against a beast that even the Dryads couldn't stop." Fuze warned you two as you both looked over to him.

"We can count on backup from King Gazel, since we signed that treaty. We'll just do all we can." Rimuru said as you and him were the only ones left in the room with Fuze and Kaval's party that were accompanying him.

"You aren't going to run away?" Fuze asked with a serious look on his face.

"What good would that do? We're the two strongest ones in this nation. If it looks like we stand no chance, we'll run away and think up a new plan, but otherwise, we should see how strong it is with our own eyes, right?" Rimuru explained the reasoning for you two standing your ground against such a formidable beast as this answer seemed to please Fuze, who smiled in impressment.

"I see. You two are the leader f the monsters, after all." Fuze said as he seemed to finally get what kind of personalities you two had.

"We're not like Humans who are done for if they lose their king." Rimuru said as Fuze turned back to you two.

"But you know...You two think much like we Humans do. It's hard to see you two as monsters." Fuze said as this confused you.

"Huh? Are you serious? I have claws, you know..." You said while playfully waving them around in the air.

"Hmm, maybe...It might be hard to believe, but we actually used to be human. You know about Shizu-san, right? I think we're Otherworlders, just like she was." Rimuru decided to reveal some key information about you two as you both relived the memories of dying. "We died in our world..." He trailed off as he hopped out of his seat and turned into his humanoid form as landed on your back and rode on top of you while leaning down and resting his head on yours. "...and were reborn here as a slime and lizard." He said as this was surprising to hear for the four of them.

"Shizu..." Eren said her name with a hint of sadness as Rimuru held her mask in his hand.

"Shizu-san entrusted everything to us as people from the same homeland. I gained this form in exchange for inheriting her will." Rimuru said as he stared at her mask longingly before turning back to the other four. "I can't go making dumb mistakes in Shizu-san's form, right?" He said as you nodded in agreement.

"I also chose to carry the hopes that Shizu-san left us with. I will do whatever it takes to make sure her wishes are fulfilled even after her death." You said to them with determination.

"I see...So these two really are people we can trust!" Eren said with joy and relief as Fuze nodded in agreement.

"Besides, we made her a promise." Rimuru said as you two looked at her mask longingly.

"A promise?" Eren asked in wonder.

"That we'd clear away the feelings that bind her heart." Rimuru said as he lowered his head in deep thought. "Our prey is the Demon Lor Leon." He said as this surprised the four of them.

"The Demon Lord Leon?!" Fuze said in shock.

"H-He is?!" Eren said in disbelief.

"You can't call a major figure like him your 'prey'!" Gido said with a nervous look on his face.

"I mean, compared to the Demon Lord Leon, I guess Charybdis would be easier to handle...Maybe?" Kaval tried to figure which horrible situation he would rather be in as you two were dead set on Leon.

"Yeah. The Demon Lord Leon comes later. Charybdis comes first." Rimuru said as you two were mentally preparing yourself for the calamity-class monster that was headed your way.

After making hasty battle and evacuation preparations for the city, you and the rest of your fighting force gathered together to face on the imposing doom outside of the town, meeting it halfway on its determined course. This powerful fighting force of yours and Rimuru's consisted of Benimaru's group, Gobta and the Goblin riders, the High Orcs led by Geld, Gabiru and his men, and one hundred Pegasus Knights led by the knight captain Dorf, who was sent on behalf of King Gazel and the kingdom of Dwargon. Looking to the distance where Charybdis was allegedly coming from, there definitely was an object not too far and was large enough to see clearer after focusing your eye sight. Once you could make out what it was, you were more than sure that it was your opponent, Charybdis itself along with its Megalodons.

"Here he comes..." You said as Mai floated on your left, Shuna was stood next to you on the right as she held Rimuru in her arms.

"Well, ready to do this?" Rimuru spoke out loud as all your forces were stood behind you two.

"Yes, sir!" They all responded.

"Begin the attack!" You roared out loud as all your forces were deployed to battle and charged ahead towards the danger.

After all your warriors took to the forest to engage against the first wave of Megalodons, you and Rimuru watched from the nearby hill as one of the Megalodons that was flying lower to the ground was suddenly engulfed and scorched by black flames. Recognizing this attack as the Hell Flare, you were impressed by the effectiveness Benimaru seemed to be having on the battlefield as you watched the Megalodon fall to the ground. 

"That's my Benimaru. He toasted that thing to a crisp. But..." Rimuru trailed off with wavering tone.

"It's shocking that even his attack wasn't enough to destroy it." Shuna said in surprise of how robust these Megalodons were.

"Is that one of Charybdis's skills?" Rimuru wondered as Great Sage had an answer for him.

"With the extra skill Magic Jamming, the movement of magicules in a 300-meter radius is disturbed, reducing the efficacy of magic." Great Sage informed Rimuru.

"So this guy's going to be trouble..." Rimuru thought with some worry before making a call of action. "Stick to the plan! Scatter them and strike each one individually!" Rimuru called out as you watched Megalodons break off from the pack to chase after your forces that were scattered through the area.

Looking to the left of the battlefield, you saw a few of the High Orcs being launched in the air as it seemed they were struggling to battle with one of the Megalodons. Just then, you saw Gabiru and the lizardmen swoop in as there was a loud crash indicating they just dealt a devastating attack to the Megalodon. It seemed like the other forces were handling the situation of each Megalodon just fine on their own, though as you looked over nearby, you could see Gobta and the Goblin riders struggling to hold down one of the powerful beasts while Hakurou was standing on the sideline watching them.

"Hoho! Some will diver, others will attack. Enter this battle with a clear understanding of your own role...and without fear of death!" Hakurou was giving wise words of encouragement to his students as he watched them get thrashed around by the ginormous Megalodon, while Rimuru returned to his humanoid form next to you and Benimaru returned to your sides from his battle.

"Hakurou's such a pro at giving orders." Rimuru commented on his brutal command as Benimaru was surprised at how different he was from before.

"Regaining his youth allowed him to refine his tough teaching style." Benimaru said as he felt nervous about how much more scarier this well-refined elder of a sword master was going to be.

"Hey, I wanna play, too!" Milim popped up between the two of you while gently tugging on Rimuru's sleeve while she gently poked your side.

"Why are you here? Didn't I tell you to wait back in town?" Rimuru asked in wonder of her attendance here at the battlefield.

"B-but I can watch, at least, can't I? Staying in town is boring!" Milim said before getting a glance at the exciting sight of Charybdis coming towards them. "Come on, I'll just--!" Milim was about to plead once more, but you two cut her off.

"No!" You and Rimuru scolded her as Milim unleashed one of her deadly skills, cuteness.

"Looking at me like that won't help." Rimuru said as he looked over to see you were struggling against her cuteness. "Don't give in!" Rimuru scolded you as he whacked you on the head, making you drop your face to avoid the powerful stare Milim had.

"Here, Lady Milim. I brought some snacks." Mai said as she managed to distract the cute Demon Lord with some food she brought along as they ate on the side.

Turning back to the battlefield, you looked to the sky and saw Souka fly over a Megalodon as her shadow was cast down on top of the beast.

"Now, Master Soei!" Souka called out as she stared at her shadow below.

"Right!" Soei responded to her as he emerged from her shadow cast his threads around the Megalodon he rode atop of. "Puppet Strings!" Soei yelled as you three were surprised by his tactics as he took control of the Megalodon, turning it to another one in the air as he made the beast chomp down on one of its own.

"Wow! He's manipulating the Megalodons to make them fight each other!" Milim said in excitement of the occurring battle while you and Rimuru were envious with exhausted expressions on your faces.

"Anything goes for that dreamboat, huh?" Rimuru said as you two sighed from how easy it seemed for the good-looking Soei.

"Wait for the right moment, then kill it." Soei instructed to Souka who was flying behind him.

"Understood. Leave the rest to us." Souka responded as she and the rest of her team dispersed themselves for the killing strike.

Soei redirected the Megalodon to fly towards Charybdis as they ascended higher into the air, and on the opposite side, you saw the surprising sight of Shion riding atop of Ranga as the Starwolf ran through the air, climbing to the height of Charybdis.

"They're flying? When did Ranga learn that?" Rimuru said in wonder as something else was on Benimaru's mind.

"Also, when did he team up with Shion?" Benimaru said in wonder as this display of events was a surprising one for you all, but you decided to think ahead of this battle for contingency reasons.

"Mother, are you there?" You called to your mother with your thoughts, but what you were getting in response were just strange snoring noises. "H-Huh? You're asleep? Do you even need sleep?!" You thought in awe of how slacking your mother was being inside of your mind.

While inside the inner plane of your thoughts, Malenia was laying down on a couch she 'thought up', wearing nothing but underwear and a tank top. Her upper body was almost falling off the couch while in one hand she held a manga book, and the other was hanging just an inch over the voided floor below her. A snot bubble was inflating and deflating with each snore she took as drool was threatening to run down the side of her face as her mouth hanged wide open.

"MOTHER!" Your voice echoed through the void of your mind as this popped the snot bubble your mother had and she slowly opened her eyes.

"Huh? What's wrong?" Malenia asked groggily as she slurped up the drool that was about to leak from her mouth and rubbed one eye as she sat up with messy hair on the couch.

"Why are you sleeping?! Can't you see there's something important going on here?!" You asked your mother as she opened one eye tiredly and looked up to see the sight of the battle in front of you.

"Hm? Oh, exciting..." Malenia said before yawning and stretching her arms above her head as she stood up from the couch.

"CAN WE GET SERIOUS HERE?!" You scolded your mother with your thoughts as the void shook.

"Agh! Jeez! Don't worry! It's only Charybdis." Malenia said in annoyance before she realized who the opponent was. "Oh, it's Charybdis..." She said in a slightly more worried tone for you.

"THAT'S RIGHT! IT'S CHARYBDIS! IS THERE ANY WAY I CAN DEAL WITH THIS THING BEFORE IT CAUSES ANYMORE HARM?!" You asked in mental exhaustion as you stared at the enemy deep in thought.

"Well...There's one way of doing this..." Malenia trailed off as you were curious as to what she meant.

"Huh? What are you talking about?" You asked her as she put her hand to her chin in deep contemplation.

"Hmmmm...It would probably work, but..." Malenia wasn't finishing her sentences as this put you on edge.

"Please, mother, if it can stop this battle before anyone gets hurt, tell me." You pleaded with your mother as she opened her eyes with a serious look.

"Alright, I'll tell you. But first, you have to get somewhere that has a lot of space." Malenia suggested as you didn't waste anytime.

"Rimuru, I'll be back. Hold that thing off as best as you can." You said as you rushed off down the hill in the opposite direction. 

"Huh? Y/N? Where are you going?" Rimuru called out, but to no avail as you left them all to fend for themselves.

"Maybe he had an upset tummy?" Milim said with a wondering look on her face as Rimuru face palmed at such a incredible statement from her.

"Great Rimuru." Benimaru called out as Rimuru turned back to the battle as they watched Soei slice the last Megalodon into pieces before landing on one of Charybdis's wings.

"So all that's left now is Charybdis..." Rimuru stated as they watched their forces close in on the monster, mainly spectating Soei.

"With his ability, it shouldn't be a problem. Besides..." Benimaru trailed off as he watched all of Tempest's forces surround Charybdis for a coordinated attack.

"That thing sure is huge, though..." Rimuru couldn't help but repeat the obvious in a worrisome tone.

"Answer. Judging from its size, the--." Great Sage was about to suggest an answer, but Rimuru stopped her before she could finish.

"I don't need to hear it! If you're gonna say something, tell me the easiest way to beat it." Rimuru asked her as Great Sage suddenly fell silent within his mind. "Now she shuts up..." Rimuru exasperated as he managed to one up Great Sage.

Countless attacks were delivered at every single point they thought possible as there were loud crashes and explosions coming from every part of Charybdis's body. High above the beast, a high pitched noise came from above as Riza flew above Charybdis and swooped down for an attack. Riza's eyes glowed purple for a moment before she unleashed a purple heat ray from her mouth and guided the beam across Charybdis's back, creating a chain of explosions. Thought it seemed effective at first, the approaching beast could care no less as it traveled at the same speed towards everyone.

"Unbelievable. Even with the new skill I obtained after being named, it's not enough to cause this beast any pain?" Riza said in disbelief as she flew around to try and find any other points of weakness, attacking various points with her heat ray.

"Looks like they're not even leaving a mark." Rimuru commented.

"True." Benimaru said as Rimuru sensed an incoming attack from Charybdis.

"It might try to pull something! Don't let your guard down!" Rimuru called out with his thoughts to all of his subordinates.

"Roger!" Shion responded.

"Right!" Soei acknowledged.

"Understood, Master!" Ranga replied before a loud roar sounded from Charybdis as the three of them stopped in their tracks on one of the monster's wings.

Whilst everyone was waiting to see what the calamity class monster would do, they caught on to what was coming as Dorf of the Pegasus Knights saw what the monster was doing and turned to everyone around him.

"Evade! Get away from it!" Dorf called out as all the forces in the air pulled away to a safer distance, while Shion, Soei, and Ranga watched the scales come flying off of Charybdis and swarm around them, throwing them off its body.

Ranga managed to catch Shion and bring her down safely while Soei managed to stop his own fall as they returned to the forest below and looked up to see the countless scales swarming around in the air. The scales flew through the sky before diving down towards them like high speed arrows that stabbed into the ground with deadly power as Soei had trouble evading them even with his speed due to the vast count being thrown.

"Ngh! I can't dodge them!" Soei said in frustration as one of the scales cut him on his left cheek.

"Dodge? Don't be a weakling!" Shion belittled Soei for his passiveness as she smashed a few of the scales to bits with her blade, but groaned when one of them slammed into her stomach, and then one more hit her across the face, sending her flying back.

"AAAAAWWHOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ranga howled in fury as he unleashed his Black Lightning, managing to disperse the swarm away from them for a short amount of time as they tried to catch their breaths. "Soei, use Shadow Movement to escape. I will act as Shion's shield." Ranga said to him as Shion disagreed.

"You fool! Do you want to die, Ranga?! I'll do this alone!" Shion said as she propped herself to one knee using her blade as Ranga smirked at her stubborness.

"Hehehe, Great Rimuru's chosen course of action is the one granting the highest chance of survival." Ranga reminded the two of them of how their master would go about these situations as they seemed to agree on that statement.

"Highest chance of survival, eh? In that case, I'll stay, too. Oh, don't get the wrong idea. The real me will withdraw before I get killed, so don't worry." Soei said with a small chuckle as Shion also chuckled in amusement.

"Typical Soei...In that case, let us all survive!" Shion declared in a fiery voice of action as they watched Charybdis glare at their direction as its eye glowed bright red for another attack.

The three of them let out their battle cries as they charged ahead together as Charybdis unleashed his scales in their direction for a major clash. Just before they could engage though...

"You guys really are idiots." The voice of one of their master's called out as they stopped in their tracks when Rimuru appeared above them and floated in between the three of them and Charybdis as he turned to them with a smile. "You could at least rely on me at a time like this." He said to them as they were shocked to see he had descended into the battle.

"Great Rimuru!" Shion couldn't believe he'd come down here of his own volition as he raised one hand in the air.

"Devour all! Gluttony!" Rimuru unleashed his signature skill as a dark funnel swallowed up all the incoming scales that Charybdis had unleashed, and with a single move, all the scales were gone in an instant, shocking everyone who witnessed the act.

"All those scales, in a mere instant..." Soei couldn't help but stand in awe of what his master had just done so effortlessly.

"Leave the rest to me. You guys fall back and rest for a bit." Rimuru advised them, but Soei didn't want to leave everything to his master and do so little in return.

"We can still help you!" Soei tried to plead with Rimuru, but it was no use.

"Take it easy. Look." Rimuru told them as they all looked back to see something strange happening on Charybdis's body, and saw his scales were regenerating at a rapid rate. "The scales are starting to regenerate. The next time it uses those, I don't know if I'll be able to protect you again."  I'll fight it for a while. Attack at Benimaru's orders." Rimuru commanded them as they were left no choice but to follow.

"I wish you luck." Soei bowed his head with disappointment towards his blunder of not being able to finish this battle.

"Be careful, Great Rimuru!" Shion pleaded with her master.

"Master, I will return to help you shortly!" Ranga promised as Rimuru smiled at his subordinates.

"Yeah." Rimuru said as he was about to fly off, but he stopped when he felt a strange feeling enter his mind.

"Rimuru, can you hear me?" A female's voice entered his mind as he recognized who it belonged to.

"This voice...Malenia?" Rimuru said in confusion of hearing her in his own head.

"Tell your forces to pull further away, Y/N is about to join you in battle." Malenia said as this made Rimuru feel a bit more at ease.

"Alright, where is he?" Rimuru asked as he looked around trying to spot you on the ground.

"Um...Well, you all might want to look away first, there's going to be a bright light..." Malenia said as this made Rimuru raise a brow in confusion.

"Bright light?" Rimuru said in wonder there was an audible rumble throughout the area and the trees in the forest began to shake.

All your forces came to a stop and stood in caution and worry of what could be causing these sudden tremors. Suddenly, off in the distance behind Rimuru, there was a sudden barrage of explosions going off, sending smoke and flames high into the sky as he could sense an unbelievable amount of magicules swirling around that area of the forest. All forces of Tempest hastily retreated further away from the area and to a safer position as they watched strange flashes of flight spark through the smoke. Once the pace of flashes of light became too fast and unbearable to watch as it grew brighter and brighter, everyone turned away as there was one last bright flash of light followed by a massive explosion that shook the entire forest. After the shaking finally decided to die down once a few moments had passed, there came a number resounding noises that made everyone feel a deadly cold shiver run down their spine.

When Rimuru turned back to the area where the sound of large and thunderous footsteps were coming from, he was in awe, along with the rest of your forces when he saw you walk out of the smoke in a new form, one much larger than he could have ever anticipated, rivaling Charybdis...

"W-What the...Great Y/N?!" Benimaru was in complete shock and awe as he watched you march towards Charybdis.

"COOL!!!!" Milim exclaimed in excitement over your new form.

"Unbelievable..." Dorf said in a shocked low tone as he and his Pegasus Knights were stunned from the sight they were beholden to.

"My Lord!" Mai said in awe and joy of seeing you return to the battle to try and end this disaster.

"Hmph, looks like this battle may end sooner than we thought. I should focus my attention to searching for any injured, I'm sure that would make my Lord happy." Riza said with confidence in your power as she flew off somewhere else.

"I've unlocked the required skills Y/N needed in order for him to transform into his adolescent state of evolution. Like this, he's a calamity class monster on his own." Malenia informed Rimuru he couldn't help but smile in awe as he watched you grow closer towards him.

"Awesome! Way to go, Y/N! Let's show this Charybdis who's boss!" Rimuru said with his fist pumped in the air, but you showed no sign of acknowledgement, and even walked passed him while letting out a menacing growl towards Charybdis. "Huh? He left me hanging..." Rimuru said on the verge of tears.

"Ah, right, since he's going about evolving in a different way than I and the other Gojira did, he's growing at a rate faster than he can handle. Right now in this state, he's more acting on impulse and instinct, like a wild animal. Sorry..." Malenia apologized to Rimuru as the slime humanoid shook it off and turned back towards you and Charybdis.

"It's fine, I know Y/N better than anyone else. Even if he isn't in full control of himself, he knows who he's fighting for in his heart." Rimuru said as everyone watched in astonishment as they prepared themselves to witness your new power. "But, I'm not about to let him fight on his own!" He said as he flew off towards Charybdis as you two engaged in battle.

You roared as Charybdis turned his sights towards you and unleashed his barrage of sclaes, sending a massive wave at you as sparks flew when his scales collided against you. Roaring from the impact, you staggered back a few steps and swiped away the scales with your claws as you roared at Charybdis before unleashing a brief blast of your Atomic Breath. Sparks and explosions ran across the underside of Charybdis as the flying beast seemed to roar out in pain before it fired a red laser attack from its eye at you, striking the ground a few times and causing small explosions around you before it struck you, sending sparks flying in the air from the attack crashing against you as you roared and fell back to the ground, showing the attack had some effectiveness towards you. 

"Hey! What do you think you're doing to him?!" Rimuru yelled as he unleashed a stream of Black Lightning all across Charybdis's wings as he dodge scales that were flying around him.

Taking notice of the smaller trouble maker that was dealing damage to it, Charybdis locked its sight on Rimuru as it fired the same beam attack at him, making Rimuru dodge as the beam sliced through the forest and caused more explosions. Rimuru sighed from the sight of the damage before dodging one more scale as he flew up high above Charybdis.

"Is it actually hurting...a little? It definitely felt some pain from Y/N, but..." Rimuru trailed off as he kept moving to avoid any scales trying to attack him. "Hey, does this thing have Rapid Regeneration?" Rimuru asked the voices in his head.

"Answer. Judging from the speed at which it repairs its body tissue, there is no doubt that the individual Charybdis--!" Great Sage was about to answer, but since Malenia seemed to be spending her time in Rimuru's head, she felt the urge to answer.

"That beast, Charybdis, has 'Ultraspeed Regeneration' among the annoying skills it possesses. If it fired off all of its scales, it'd only take three minutes to regenerate them all back." Malenia answered and beat Great Sage to the punch.

"Ahem!" Great Sage suddenly announced herself in an irritated manner as Malenia grew nervous once she realized what she had done.

"Ah, right, this isn't my domain...sorry, Great Sagey--!" Malenia attempted to apologize.

"Great Sage." Great Sage said in a monotone, yet somehow intimidating tone that made sure to correct Malenia as your mother fell quiet to the voice of the world.

"So we have three minutes before a repeat of what it did earlier...Hah." Rimuru sighed before sensing an incoming attack and flying off higher as an Atomic Breath fired from below and struck Charybdis, creating an explosion under its belly as you got to your feet once again and roared in fury. 

"Everyone, utilize all methods at your disposal to attack Charybdis! Even if the effects are weak! Don't give it a chance to recover!" Benimaru encouraged all your forces to join the attack in any way they could.

"Yeah!!!!" Everyone yelled out as they charged ahead to join you two in assaulting Charybdis.

You let out another roar as you fire another Atomic Breath at Charybdis as the flying beast unleashed another eye beam, creating a beam clash between you two. The struggle of magicules between your beams moved back and forth before there was a huge explosion in the middle as sparks flew off of Charybdis and you were knocked down from the force of the blast. After such a massive clash, your forces moved in to take their shots while you recovered as they bombarded Charybdis from all sides, littering the monster with countless blasts to try and slow down its Ultraspeed Regeneration. Shaking the earth as you stood up, you roared at Charybdis as you marched forward and swung your tail around, using it to reach the flying beast as it managed to slam down on its head, lowering the height a bit from which it was flying. Seeing that it came down to the point where you could finally reach it, you roared as you began scratching and clawing at Charybdis, sparks and scales flying as you two were littered with explosions coming from your forces. Charybdis let out a screech of anger it fire its eye beam attack directly into your chest, creating a massive explosion that made you stagger back, but you managed to stay on your feet as you let out another roar and continued the battle. This fight would go on longer than anyone would have anticipated however as time had passed to the point the sun began to set as smokes from a few fires in the area were beginning to burn themselves out, and the only one still fighting were you, Rimuru, and Charybdis. You were littered with scratches and burns from various attacks from Charybdis while the soaring beast also looked the same, but you both began to regenerate at rapid speeds as Rimuru assessed the situation.

"I think Charybdis is damaged by about 50% thanks to Y/N's help..." Rimuru said as he looked to the ground and saw how many were injured or exhausted from the battle as they were being treated for their ailments. "An all-out attack managed 50%...This is looking bad." Rimuru thought as he turned towards you and saw you letting out small, tired mewls from your mouth as your eyes were slowly closing from what seemed to be exhaustion. "Y/N's practically drained of most of his magicules, being in that form and not being able to control himself must be taxing on his body. What do we do?" Rimuru thought as the situation was against their odds, but something strange was happening to Charybdis who was floating close to him.

"HNGH!! URGH!! D-D...!" Strange noises were coming from Charybdis as Rimuru turned his head to the beast in wonder of what it was trying to do. "D-DAMN YOU...M-MILIM..." Charybdis suddenly began speaking with such anger and hatred, surprising the humanoid-slime.

"Milim? You just said 'Milim', didn't you?" Rimuru asked the beast before an idea came to mind. "Great Sage, Malenia, use Appraisal!" Rimuru asked them.

"Answer. Signs of life confirmed from the body that Charybdis has occupied. The body appears to possess intense anger." Great Sage answered as this perplexed Rimuru who crossed his arms and stared at Charybdis in wonder.

"I'm surprised anyone's consciousness could still be intact after being possessed by Charybdis. Whoever this is must have a real bone to pick with little ol' Milim over there." Malenia said in surprise.

"Intense anger? Toward Milim? So basically, Charybdis was headed toward our town because Milim was there? I thought it had figured out that Veldora was inside me...I guess I was overthinking it." Rimuru came to that conclusion before a realization set in. "Wait! Can't I depend on Milim for this, then?!" Rimuru said out loud as he looked for the Demon Lord in question and turned to find her asleep on top of your head, as you had fallen asleep as well while standing up. "Hey, she's asleep! And why are you on top of Y/N's head?! When did you do that?!" Rimuru said in surprise and confusion as he watched the Demon Lord snore on top of your head before connecting with her through Thought Communication. "Milim!" He called out to her, snapping her out of her nap.

"Hue?! Uwahwah!" Milim scrambled herself to an upright sitting position. "I wasn't asleep! I was awake the whole time!" Milim instantly defended herself.

"No, you were obviously asleep. And what are you doing on top of Y/N's head?" Rimuru asked her.

"On top of such a beautiful creature like Y/N is the best spot for meditating! I was really cheering you guys on!" Milim kept up her act as Rimuru just sighed and let her be.

"Listen, this guy seems to have business with you." Rimuru said as this instantly perked up Milim's excitement.

"What?!" Milim said with a huge smile on her face as she used her eyes to deeply read into Charybdis, and found out a huge detail about it. "It looks like it's using that guy who came into town, Phobio, as its physical body." Milim revealed.

"That guy? Really?" Rimuru put his hand to his head, feeling mentally exhausted seeing that this individual caused trouble once again. "Anyway, we had you sit this one out because we thought he was after me, but..." Rimuru trailed off as Milim felt even more excitement bubbling out of her.

"Are you gonna say I can fight him?!" Milim exclaimed before she felt you moved and looked down to see you had woken up and wanted to fight again. "Oh, don't worry, Y/N!" Milim said as she floated down in front of your face as you looked at her with your eyes. "I'll take over from here, you did a great job so you should go nap now. I know just the spot that'll make you sleepy too..." Milim grinned as she went under your chin. "Here!" Milim exclaimed as she began scratching a certain part under your chin, and your eyes went wide with shock before drooping closed as you began to sway before collapsing down to the ground below with a huge crash as her magic touch put you to sleep. "Alright, sleep tight, Y/N! GYAAAAHHH~!!!" Milim yelled with joy as she flew off towards Rimuru and came to a stop next to him as your slime friend was shocked to see how easily she put you to sleep. "Heheee~!" She giggled as Rimuru turned towards her.

"He was here for you, and we were just in the way. Sorry about that." Rimuru apologized to her as she maneuvered to his other side. 

"It's fine! Don't worry about it! I'll get him!" Milim said while getting into a fighting pose with her fists up and a grin across her face.

"Oh, also..." Rimuru chimed in once again, worrying Milim about her chance to fight Charybdis. "Phobio works for the Demon Lord Carrion, right? So I'd like to let him live and help him out..." He asked as Milim understood what he wanted.

"Uwahhhhahaha! That won't be a problem!" Milim said as she raised one fist in the air with a confident smile. "I'll show you how much restraint I've learned recently!" Milim proclaimed as Rimuru gulped down a worried breath.

"Restraint? Does she really mean that?" Rimuru wondered with a skeptical look as he backed away while Milim turned her sights on Charybdis.

"Get away from here immediately!" Dorf yelled out to his Pegasus Knights who were still nearby as all remaining forces cleared way for Milim.

Now that everyone was out of the way, all that was left in the battle was Charybdis, A.K.A. Phobio, and his most hated enemy at the moment, Milim Nava.

"GURH!! HURGRHGH!! MILI...MILIM!!!" Phobio's voice roared from Charybdis's body in rage as his eye flashed red and scales swarmed all around the cute Demon Lord who floated in the air, unphased with a smile.

"I've already seen that trick. Now, I'll show you one of mine." Milim said with sheer confidence as she raised one hand up, and in an instant, all the scales of Charybdis had stopped and were frozen in place before she lowered her hand and made them all drop to the ground below. "This is..." Milim started as she raised her hands in the air and a bright blue ball of magicules began to shine in between her palms. "...what you call 'restraint'!" Milim shouted as the bright ball of magic grew brighter and brighter before she unleashed her attack. "Drago Buster!" She called out its name as small streams of magicules flew from her hands and went flying to various points of Charybdis's body.

Once the attack dissipated from Milim's hands and only shined upon the points of Charybdis, only about two moments passed before an unbelievably massive explosion went off, completely obliterating its body with incredible destructive power. While watching from the side, Rimuru was left in awe as one question popped into his mind as he watched chunks and pieces of Charybdis fly everywhere.

"Where the hell is the 'restraint'?" Rimuru asked in confusion.

"Wow! Little Milim sure has gotten stronger since I last saw her! It makes me happy to see her having fun!" Malenia said in Rimuru's head before the humanoid slime notice something peculiar fly out of the smoke, Phobio's scorched body. 

"There he is!" Rimuru flew up quickly and managed to catch him in his arms as smoke came off of Phobio's body. "Gotcha." He muttered before turning to the pink haired Demon Lord with a smile. "That was some nice restraint." He said with impressment as Milim flashed him a cute peace sign with a big smile.

After the sudden destruction of Charybdis and managing to reclaim Phobio, Rimuru gathered with the others as they began to tend to Phobio's damaged body as Charybdis's heart was still attached to him. Rimuru hovered over Phobio's body as everyone watched closely to see if he would succeed in saving the Beastketeer. Dark magicules and a darker aura were coming off of Phobio as it seemed to be working and Great Sage had a report.

"Notice. The magicore of Charybdis has been removed from Phobio and consumed. Preparing to isolate it and begin Appraisal." Great Sage announced as Phobio was now fixed and Rimuru crashed onto his rear end in exhaustion.

"Phew!" Rimuru sighed before looking to Benimaru who nodded to him to perform the next step as Rimuru threw a healing potion on Phobio's face, bringing the Beastketeer back to full health. "That should do it." He said before Dorf came up to him.

"Rimuru." Dorf called to him as the smaller sized ruler of monsters turned to him.

"Oh, Dorf-san. I appreciate your help. We were able to defeat Charybdis thanks to you." Rimuru thanked him for his participation in the battle.

"No, it wasn't us who defeated Charybdis." Dorf said as he looked over to Milim who reacted in wonder, and behind Milim was your unconscious, sleeping body as you remained in your titanic, adolescent Gojira form. "Could you explain what this is all about?" He asked the slime leader.

"Well, um, actually...this girl is called Demon Lord Milim, and the giant monster there is actually Y/N himself, and...you see?" Rimuru tried the best he could to explain yours and Milim's current situation as Dorf turned towards you two.

"Y/N and a Demon Lord?" Dorf said as he stared at you and Milim in deep contemplation as Milim struck a proud pose. "Hahahahaha! I see you have a fondness for jokes, Rimuru!" Dorf suddenly said with humor as this threw off everyone, especially Milim who was shocked. "If you had such powerful magical weapons, I wish you had said so from the start!" Dorf said to Rimuru as Milim took this as ridiculement.

"It's no joke! I'm a Demon Lord! And that really is Y/N! I defeated Charybdis!" Milim tried to cement that fact into Dorf's mind, but he was still not buying and was amused further by her behavior.

"I see. You wish to keep the specifics of your weapons secret. I understand that." Dorf said as he turned back to Rimuru. "It's always best to keep your trump card hidden." Dorf said to Rimuru.

"I'm telling you, I'm a Demon Lord!" Milim yelled out in frustration.

"Charybdis could have had catastrophic effects on all mankind, so its defeat is most fortuitous. I must report to my king, so I will take my leave now." Dorf said as he gave a respectful bow to Rimuru and Benimaru.

"Hey, damn it!" Milim whined in irritation over not being acknowledged.

"You were a great help. Give King Gazel my regards." Rimuru said his parting words to Dorf as the Pegasus Knights took their leave and flew back home to Dwargon, and Rimuru turned back to the now awakening Phobio as he reverted to his slime form and rested in Shion's arms. "Hey. You awake?" He asked.

"Ngh! Where...am I?" Phobio asked in wonder while holding his head in pain as everyone remained on guard for any surprise attack. "What...What did I..." He trailed off in confusion.

"Do you remember what you did?" Rimuru asked as the image of him and you flashed in his mind, and he remembered everything in that moment as he gasped in shock.

"I'm so sorry!" Phobio instantly planted his head to the ground in regret while facing Rimuru. "I've done something unthinkable to Lady Milim, and I've caused so much trouble for you!" Phobio apologized without a single stutter or hint of lying.

"Why did you do--." Rimuru's question was cut off when Treyni and Trya walked forward to Phobio.

"How did you know where Charybdis was sealed?" Treyni asked Phobio.

"We won't accept that you just happened to find it." Trya warned Phobio about making excuses or lies.

"You heard her." Rimuru reconfirmed the warnings as Phobio raised his head to answer.

"Right...You see..." Phobio trailed off as he began to tell his story that led up to the current events.

Phobio would go on to explain the night he met two masked Majin's and how they manipulated him into being possessed by Charybdis.

"Masked harlequins named Tear and Footman?" Treyni asked as she drew an outline of a harlequin mask in the ground using a rock. "Did the mask look like this?" She asked Phobio.

"No, the ones I met were a girl in a mask with a tear under one eye and a heavy man with an angry mask." Phobio replied as the description of the angry mask sparked a memory in Benimaru as the one who visited his village.

"Um..." Gabiru suddenly spoke up as everyone turned towards him. "That Laplace guy also..." Gabiru was trying to remember the name of the masked harlequin he met.

"Laplace?" Rimuru said in confusion of the name.

"Laplace once showed up before me as a servant of Gelmud. He was wearing a mask like the one Treyni described. Also, he called himself the vice president of a jack-of-all-trades group called the Moderate Harlequin Alliance." Gabiru explained the type of person Laplace was.

"Well, now the dots are connected." Rimuru came to an understanding of everything now so far.

"I see. And this person's name was Laplace?" Treyni repeated as she and her sister nodded to each other to engrave the name to memory.

"Footman, huh? We'll have to remember that name." Benimaru said as he found his new target to bring justice to for his people.

"Yes, Brother." Shuna agreed with him.

"A mysterious jack-of-all-trades group, the Moderate Harlequin Alliance? They pretend they're helping you, then use you to fulfill their goals without getting their own hands dirty...They sound like they'll be trouble." Rimuru said as Shion turned Rimuru to look at Milim for any ideas.

"Hm? I don't know anything about them!" Milim defended her stance while raising her hands up in the air. "In fact, if fun people like that are really out there, I wanna meet them!" Milim said to them all.

"Lady Milim, those can be bad influences on you. You should choose carefully who you befriend out there." Mai said as she floated by Milim as the Demon Lord thought of something.

"It may be that it wasn't Gelmud, but Clayman who's plotting something in secret." Milim said as this confused everyone.

"Clayman?" Rimuru asked her in confusion of this person.

"He loves coming up with schemes like that." Milim made the connection between Clayman and those types of schemers.

"The Demon Lord Clayman..." Rimuru said the name to make sure to remember it.

"Regardless of whose scheme I was roped into, what happened was my own responsibility. It has nothing to do with Demon Lord Carrion, so please..." Phobio said as he bowed his head to Rimuru and Milim. "Take my life and leave him out of this!" He begged for them to not involve Carrion in such a disgraceful mess.

"Next time, be more on your toes so you won't be fooled again." Rimuru said to Phobio, confusing the Beastketeer.

"Huh?" Phobio was beyond confused by what he meant.

"You can move now, right? So you can go." Rimuru said to Phobio as the Beastketeer was in disbelief.

"But...What I did was unforgivable!" Phobio tried to understand the reasoning of Rimuru's intentions.

"I don't even want your life. Right, Milim?" Rimuru asked his bestie.

"Yeah, totally! I thought I'd give him just one little whack, but I've matured so much, after all." Milim said while trying to stand in a cool pose.

"As expected of Lady Milim!" Mai praised Milim for her growth.

"You were going to hit him?" Rimuru said in shock of her previous intentions before deciding to act mature.

"I'm not mad at all, so I forgive you!" Milim said to Phobio with genuinity.

"There you go. So don't worry about it." Rimuru said to the bewildered Beastketeer.

"That's right!" Milim said before turning to another direction. "That's okay with you, right, Carrion?" Milim called out as this panicked Phobio as they all turned to see the aforementioned Demon Lord walk out of the tree line and towards everyone.

"L-Lord Carrion!" Phobio said in shock of his arrival as the Demon Lord walked towards him with a smirk on his face.

"Humph. So you've figured it out, Milim?" Carrion said to his fellow Demon Lord.

"Of course I did!" Milim replied to him as Rimuru took careful note of this newly arrived Demon Lord.

"So this guy is the Demon Lord Carrion..." Rimuru muttered to himself in his head as Carrion approached him.

"Yo. Thanks for sparing this guy's life." Carrion thanked Rimuru for sparring Phobio as his aid caught up to him and he stared down at the slime closely. "You're the masked majin who defeated Gelmud, are you not?" He asked Rimuru.

"Yeah, that's right. I wasn't alone though." Rimuru said to him.

"That's right, there was that lizard friend of yours, too." Carrion said as he turned his head to look at you sleeping as your breath blew down a few trees in the distance. "What an incredible sight to see..." He chuckled in amusement of seeing such an amazing monster that was yourself as Rimuru hopped out of Shion's grasp and returned to his humanoid form in front of Carrion.

"Are you here to avenge him?" Rimuru asked as your aids were all ready to defend themselves and Rimuru as Carrion was surprised by the question, but chuckled at it.

"Nah. Get up." Carrion answered Rimuru before ordering Phobio to his feet.

"Y-Yes, sir!" Phobio said as he stood up at attention, only for Carrion to walk in front of him with a shocking realization.

In the next moment, a loud and thunderous crash echoed through the entire forest, shocking everyone from what they saw when Carrion suddenly smashed Phobio's head into the ground, knocking him out instantly as his aid rushed over to pick up the unconscious body. The loud crash of Phobio's face hitting the ground was so audible and sent a vibration through the ground, that it reached your napping body as you slowly opened one eye and bellowed from your throat as you raised your head from the ground, looking around in confusion as the birds in the forest flew off from your movements. Riza, who was watching over you, was shocked when you suddenly woke up.

"M-My Lord! You're awake?" Riza said in surprise before groaning in anger and turning to where the sound came from. "Hey! Who dares to wake up my Lord so rudely?!?" Riza screeched in anger as you stared at her floating in front of you with a confused and perplexed look.

"Sorry about that." Carrion said to Rimuru, confusing the slime leader. "It seems my underling here was out of control. That means I was negligent in his oversight. I hope you'll forgive him." Carrion suddenly spoke in such a genuine and respectful tone, surprising Rimuru.

"S-Sure..." Rimuru said as Carrion turned back to him.

"I owe you one after all this. If anything comes up, you can always count on me." Carrion reassured dependability Rimuru and you all could have towards him.

"In that case, I'd appreciate it if you'd enter a non-aggression pact with our nation." Rimuru asked as Carrion was surprised by the simplicity of the request.

"That's all you want? Very well. The Demon Lord...no..." Carrion cut his sentence short as he found a correction to be made in it before speaking up again. "The Beastmaster of the Animal Kingdom of Eurazania, Carrion, swears on his name to never raise a blade to your nation." Carrion declared to one of the leaders of Tempest.

"Thanks." Rimuru said with gratitude.

"All right." Carrion said before reaching down and chucking Phobio's unconscious and bleeding body over his shoulder as he turned to leave. "Come on, we're out." Carrion said without a care in the world as he left a trail of Phobio's blood behind him.

"Uh, he's losing tons of blood!" Rimuru pointed out with a shocked face as Carrion's aid was panicking at the sight as well.

"Well, I'll see you again, Rimuru. Hopefully your lizard friend over there is in a better state for me to introduce myself. I'd like to get to know more about him. Until then." Carrion said his parting words before he, Phobio, and his aid all teleported back to where they came from, sealing the alliance deal between the two nations as the outcome of today couldn't have gotten any better.

"Now, then..." Rimuru trailed off as he turned back to everyone with reassured smile. "I guess that's over." He said as everyone was brought to ease before the sudden shaking of the ground threw everyone off and they turned to see you stop near them and lower your head.

"G-Great Y/N!" Benimaru was surprised when you got so close as you exhaled through your nose, blowing hot air towards them as they all struggled to stay in place.

"H-Hey! Y/N!!!" Rimuru waved at you with a smile as you tilted your head and let out a murmur from your throat and touched your snout to the ground, gesturing for everyone to board your head. 

"Huh?" Rimuru was confused at first before laughing as he ran over and climbed onto your snout before turning back everyone. "Everyone, get on!" He said as everyone rushed over to board you and once everyone climbed up, you stood back up and turned back to Tempest as you began walking through the forest and heading home.

"Jeez, even as a Gojira adolescent, he's still such a gentleman." Malenia's voice sounded off in Rimuru's head. "Okay, I'll take my leave now, Rimuru. Take care, Great Sage." She bid the two of them farewell from his mind as Rimuru felt her feeling leave his body.
