Hello!
(Idk why I started it that way. Lol.)
Anyway, I decided to stay opening up about my music choices, as music is a huge influence on how and what I write. I'm very aware that not everyone will know everything I listen to, but who knows? Maybe you'll find a new favorite song! :D so here is the first example!

Kyaru Pamyu Pamyu

Before I go any further, I want to express a slight pet peeve of mine. When most people I know find out I listen to J-pop, they immediately go 'isn't J-pop really weird?' And through my listening to all J-pop I've found that it's sorta Kyaru Pamyu Pamyu's fault. Not that she set out with that being her intention in singing, but with the worldwide popularity of her song Pon Pon Pon a few years back, that's the image J-pop's gotten. Admittedly, I love her weirdness. The extravagance of her outfits and videos makes me think of when I was little and sorta liked stuff like this. (I was an incredibly weird child, just putting that out there.) There's an innocence in KPP's music that I haven't found anywhere else. Okay, so yeah one of my favorite songs from her is about wearing fake eyelashes, but she also sings about how it gives her confidence, and how when you have confidence your view of the world changes for the better. The song in the video I attached however isn't that song, it's actually about ninjas... ish. I'm still trying to figure out exactly why it's about ninjas but I'm almost to the point of caring anymore. I know the lyrics, it's nonsense-ish and fun to dance to, and I'm sold. :p
