Serena's POV

"I can't wait until tomorrow Ash!" I gripped his hand tighter and he chuckled.

"Me neither sweetheart." He opened the door to our house as we walked in.

Tomorrow I was getting married to my childhood crush, Ash. We lived in my old house, my mother doesn't live here. She died from a heart attack around 2 years ago.

I placed my purse on the kitchen table and Ash took off his shoes. We just got back from a nice date under the stars. "I'm taking a shower." He kissed my forehead and walked up the stairs.

I walked over to where Sylveon was sleeping. Two little Eevees were cuddled next to her. The Eevees hatched almost 3 weeks ago, and are adorable as ever.

I smiled at the sight. Maybe one day I'll be a mother like Sylveon.

I decided to go check on Rockruff. I caught her when I went on my Alolan journey with Ash.

I went up the stairs and into my room. I could hear Ash's shower. He's been in there forever I rolled my eyes. Of course.

I went over to my bed, Rockruff usually sleeps there. I stopped. Rockruff was nowhere to be found!

"Rockruff?" I called.

I went down the hallway. When I got to the kitchen, I looked out the window. I saw a small figure running around. I turned on the light that goes outside–and there she was–sitting in my flowers!

Rockruff will always find a way to do that! I swear!

"Rockruff!" I yelled. I ran to her, but she got up and ran around the yard. "You think this is funny? Well it's not!"

I chased her until we got to the woods. I had a woods in my backyard, I'd always come to explore it, even when mom told me not to. But I've never went in here in the dark...

A chill went up my spine. I was really scared. "Rockruff! Come out please!" I pleaded.

I looked around and I saw a bright yellow light a few feet away. "What?" I said and ran over to the light. It was a small yellow light, glowing brightly. "What is this?" I said and reached out to it.

I felt a rush of dizziness and I closed my eyes...
