Nelli's P O V

Time Skip to after school

Axel flops onto my bed, and groans. He is so sweaty, his shirt is sticking to his abs. Not only do we have class, but we have to do a sport. Axel chose baseball, and is really good at it. I chose fencing, because it could transfer to monster fighting. "You did really well," I say, referring to his first practice. I watched it, for support. "I'll be at every game," I promised him when he signed up.
I sit on my bed next to him, and his arms wrap around me. I'm so tired, and Axel is so warm, that I fall asleep in his arms.

Axels POV

She is so peaceful when she sleeps. Her face is freed from expression, and worry. She looks so young. When Penelope's shirt lifts a little, I catch a glance at the scar from our quest. The pain of her almost dying floods back to me. Suddenly, Nelli starts thrashing in my arms. "Shhh. It's okay, it's okay," I say, rubbing her hair. When she continues to thrash, obviously having a nightmare, I kiss her. Her salty lips are so soft. Her eyes flutter open, panic in her sea green eyes.
