Chara shakes her head in vain as I just massage my temples, pacing the room. "What're we gonna do?" I ask. Someone kidnapped Frisk. Again. "I dunno, nothing?" Chara seems unsure of what to do. Ironic, as she's taking the lead most of the time. "Frisk can handle himself. It's not a big deal." I just sigh in response.

    "Chara, he's our only family left. That, and he believes in pacifism. He'll be shot with a goddamn smile on his face." Chara just groans. "It's all my fault, I sent him on that mission to steal that stupid pendant..." I say nothing, grunting. I can't believe Frisk got captured by those... Monsters. Weren't they supposed to be good? After all, Chara was once with them... I punch the wall, quickly regretting it. I shake my hand, seething. Chara bursts out laughing. I roll my eyes, annoyed. "Serves you righ-"

    A knock echoes through the room, coming from the hidden door leading to our base. Chara and I stay as quiet as possible, our weapons in a closet. Unfortunately, the closet door makes a loud noise, and we never organize our weapons, so before we could even prepare ourselves, they'd knock the door down, assuming they had the tools. 'And this is why we must be prepared...' I mentally scold myself for always setting those things aside.

    More knocking ensues. I position myself into a fighting stance, a Chara doing the same, when we hear Frisk's voice. "Chara? Y/N? You guys in there?" Frisk whispers. "Something's off..." Chara mouths. I shrug. Sure, Frisk didn't use our secret knock (yup, we're lame), but there's a chance he forgot... I sneak towards the door, Chara hissing at me. "We don't have time for that! It could be a trap!" "Why would Frisk do that?" I mouth back. "Maybe the monsters, I dunno, brainwashed him!?"

   Out of all the things, was that the best she could come up with? "Help, they're coming!" We hear Frisk whisper-shout. I reach for the doorknob. Chara looks at me, signaling it's the death of us if we open the door... But.. Frisk wouldn't betray us... Right..?
