Tae's POV

I drove my motorcycle to Tee's house to pick him up and bring him with me to Bas' house. He came out of his gate looking very pale but with red puffy eyes. My heart bled seeing him in that condition. I went up to him and gave him a comforting hug. Wrong move. He started bawling like a baby.

"There, there," I said, caressing his back with my hand in an up and down motion. I stayed that way until he finally calmed down.

I held his face on either side with my hands and said, "Listen to me, Tee, we're gonna be alright. We're gonna hurdle this bump in the road of our career. We just gotta have faith in ourselves,"

When he nodded, before I realized what I was doing I had planted a kiss right smack on his lips. He stepped back with big wide eyes, covering his lips with his fingers, not quite believing what just happened. I did the exact same thing and thought the exact same way as he did.

We looked at each other with shocked expressions for a few seconds.

What in bloody hell just happened.

I was the first to look away. I felt so embarrassed. I kept apologizing to Tee but he stopped me.

"We are both very stressed out right now," he said, "we are prone to do things without thinking. Don't worry about it. I have forgotten about it already."

I was so relieved that he did not make a drama out of it.

"Do you want to ride on my motorcycle to Bas' house, or do you want to take your car?" I asked.

"I wanna take my car but I don't trust myself to drive it right now. I'm too distracted to be able to drive it safely. Could you be the one to drive it for me?" he asked, handing me his car key.

"Sure," I said and proceeded to unlock the car doors. We both climbed into the car and I started to make our way to Bas' house.

When we arrived at Bas' house, all four of our group were already there. Godt had his arms around a still sniffling Bas' shoulders while Kim had his arms wrapped around another still sniffling Copter in a tight hug.

I was tempted to do the same with Tee but he had stopped crying so I had no excuse to do so.

It had been decided beforehand that we would all go in Kim's SUV to our designated vacation spot. I was excited to go on this vacation because I was told by Bas that his uncle's cottage where we were staying was located in a very secluded spot, far away from the city and was not accessible by car. We had to make a long trek on a narrow path surrounded by thick plantation just to be able to reach it.

We all tried to stay cheerful during the drive. Kim was behind the wheel as it was his SUV that we were using to get to our destination.

Someone would start the first line of a song and then we would all join in. We passed around snacks and drinks. We had brought some bottles of beer but we were saving those for when we were already in the cottage.

I hoped that nobody would get drunk enough to do something that he would regret later on. I promised myself to stay away from alcohol during our vacation because I did not want to do a worse thing than I had already just done to Tee earlier.

I'm not sure if Tee was psychic and had read my mind because I caught him stealing a worried glance at me at that very moment. I looked away feeling some warmth in my cheeks. He looked away as well, wearing an uncomfortable expression.

The rest of the group kept on with the fun activities, unaware of the discomfort that Tee and I were experiencing.
