I felt awful for what I have did. I should have just canceled every thing for my baby girl. What am I now??? A bad father? Christy must hate me to death by now.

As I was about to knock on the door I hear small cry coming from her room.
Oh no what have I done I made her cry on her birthday week. Ok chris you have to face it one way or another.

"Knock knock" I say as I knock on her door

"Come in, I guess" she says in a smal voice

as I enter the room I see Christy under her blanket covering her face and hearing small crys ,this just breaks me down.

"Oh my gosh, Christy" I say running to her side of the bed "I'm so sorry, but I am going to be here for your birthday I promise"

"Get away from me, how do I know your not lying to me because I heard you on the phone" she says moving away from me

" christy, I'm not going to miss your party for anything in the world, I'm going to cancel and be right here when your turn 14" I say

" I don't know what to say anymore, but dad can you do me one favor please" she says

"Sure anything sweetheart" I say sitting on her bed

"Can you please leave, I really need to think about something alone" she says hiding under the covers

"Ok, princess I'll check on you later" I say leaving her room
