Part 34
N - Manik, each time I have hidden something from you, you've suffered. You suffered, Manik. You. That too because of me.
Manik was going to interrupt her but, Nandini spoke
N - Aapne promise kiya tha, Manik
Manik kept mum and squeezed her hands as a gesture to continue
Aapko yaad hai when you decided to leave me for Dhruv?
Manik closed his eyes tight in regret after listening to her. It was the on;y decision in his life which he regrets.
I was devastated but I had you to look after me. I never shared how thankful I was to have you at that time. Though you were hurting, you protected me from everyone. Be it Nyonika ma'am, Harshad, Cabir's pranks, Mukti's anger, and Alya's hatred. I took you for granted. I was always running away from you whenever we had a problem. I have fought some problems but most of the time, I've been running away from them. And the worst part is I've always told you that "We're not meant to be." I can't even imagine the amount of pain and hurt you might have faced because of this single sentence. But I never realised it, Manik. Never.
Today, when you were sharing your pain, at that time, I realised that even I have taken you for granted. Sometimes knowingly while sometimes unknowingly. Though my intentions were pure, I still ignored you, took you for granted, and most importantly, didn't consider your feelings. I'm realising now that I'm a horrible person, Manik. A person who doesn't deserve you, Manik. A gem of a person like you deserves better. Manik, you deserve someone better.
Nandini started crying after speaking this while Manik was numb in his place. The only words echoing in his mind were "You deserve better." He was not able to digest these words. Nandini, his Nandini, is letting him go.
After a long silence, Manik mumbled,
So, you're leaving me?
Though it was barely audible, the silence in the room helped Nandini to hear it clearly.
N - What?
M - ARE YOU LEAVING ME, NANDINI?
N - What are you saying Manik? Why would I do that?
M - Then what do "you deserve better" mean?
N - That's the truth and we can't change it
M - So, you want me to leave you?
N - I have not said that
M - But that's what you mean, right?
N - Manik, tum alag hi meaning nikal rahe ho
M - Don't. Don't try to justify yourself, Nandini. Just leave from here.
N - Pr meri baat to sunye aap
M - I'm really angry right now. So, please leave me alone.
N - Fine. I'm going and you know where to find me
Manik didn't even acknowledge what she said. Hence, she went from there with tears in her eyes.
On the other side, In a dark cabin in the forest
We can see a woman sitting on a chair. Having a closer look, we can see that she's tied with the chair. The door opened and a tall and slim walked inside the dark cabinet making it look bright with the sunlight penetrating along with the figure.
Instead of coming towards the woman, the figure walked in the opposite area. The voices of 2 people can be heard. It seemed as if the figure and the person inside the room are arguing about something.
The figure came towards the woman furiously and spoke
Why can't you explain to him that he needs to take medicine
The hostage woman turned her face away from her. Not willing to see the face of the figure.
Look at me. When I talk to you
Hostage Woman - Why do you think I'll do whatever you ask
The Figure - You're supposed to do that
Hostage Woman - How about taking NO as an answer?
The Figure - Don't forget your husband's life is in my hands
Hostage Woman - THe husband you're talking about is YOUR FATHER
The Figure - The same father who gave my everything to my brother
Hostage Woman - Don't forget he gave you everything that you wished. What is his fault that his daughter was not able to handle her share while his son took his share to another height?
The Figure (Daughter) - I'll be back. Till then convince your husband to have his meal
The Figure (Daughter) went out of the cabin leaving her satellite phone beside the woman to talk with her husband
Hostage Woman - Sunye Ji
Husband - Haan
Hostage Woman - Aap khaana kha lijiye na. Hume humare Manu ko bhi to dekhna hai
Husband - Aapko kya lagta hai humari beti humein usse milne degi, Devyani ji?
Devyani - Kyu nahi milne degi? Mai mil ke hi rahungi mere bachee se. Maine Kishori ko bola hai to take care of him.
Husband - Kishori ke mindset ko pata nahi kya hogaya hai? Vo aisi nahi thi pehle
Devyani - Humari beti ko dekhkr usne apni poti se muh mod liya hai, Praveen Ji
Praveen - Agar humari aulaad aisi hui iska matlab ye thodi hai k uske bete ki bachi bhi aisi hogi
Devyani - Usne Pallavi ko apni godh me khilaya hai. Bhul gaye kya aap kitne naazo se paala hai usne humari Pallavi ko
Praveen - Aap kuch bhi bolo Devyani Ji pr Kishori galat kr rahi hai uss ful si bachi ke saath
Devyani - Hum dono milke samjayenge na usse. I'm sure, she'll understand. Pr aap abhi khaana kha lijiye na. Aapko meri kasam hai ji
Praveen - Kha raha hu mai. Tussi bhi kha lo
Devyani - Ji
Devyani agreed to what her husband said but, her husband didn't know that their daughter don't provide sufficient meals to her mother. It was a deal between the mother-daughter duo that
Pallavi will have to provide sufficient meals to her father if she wanted her mother to not contact her brother or nephew.
Pallavi was well aware of her mother's skills. Her mother was capable of taking down her guards in minutes even at the age of 71 years. In order to refrain her from doing so, Pallavi used her father.
Shocked, are we?
Do you like this cute couple?
Few words for Manik?
Few words for Nandini?
Few words for Pallavi?
Please, do let me know your opinions
