As Manik came after freshening up, the sight that greeted him made him feel amused. The ever chirpy and irritating Cabir was in deep thought process while, Mukti, the impulsive soul was sitting patiently.

M - Cabir, Mukti, kya hogaya hai tum logo ko?

Instead of replying, they turned their face in the opposite direction.

Manik looked at Nandini and raised his eyebrows silently asking about the matter who just shrugged in answer.

M - Cabir (after a pause) Mukti

Seeing them not responding, he chose to give them some time and sat beside Nandini on the couch placed there. Nandini gave him a bright smile and wrapped her arms around his arm and kept her head on his shoulder.

Manik pecked her head and turned his attention to his brothers who were trying to figure out the reason behind the silent treatment given by his friends.

M - Abhi

Abhimanyu was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't hear Manik. Aryaman had to shake him to bring him out of his thoughts.

Ab - Ha, kya hua? Aise kyu kr raha hai?

Ar - Bhai kabse bula rahe hai. Kaha khoya huva hai tu?

Ab - Kuch bhi ho. Tujhe kya?

M - Abhi, huva kya hai?

Ab - Kuch nahi, Bhai. Aap batao kya bol rahe the aap?

M - I was asking that how's mom? Did you go to meet her?

Manik asked being worried for his mon which came as a surprise for his friends. His brothers knew about the matter hence, they didn't react. While Nandini knew that Manik longs for his mother but, buried it in the corner of his heart due to some reasons. 

Surprising everyone Cabir replied

C - Your MOM is fine. She's having a gala time with my mother.

Ab, Ar, M - WHAT?

C - What's wrong? Can't she go and meet my mother?

"Shit! How can this happen?"

"When did she go out?"

"This wasn't supposed to happen"

Came the responses from the brothers.

The next second, Manik got a phone call gaining everyone's attention

"It's her"

He received the call having no other option as offending her can risk the life of his mother.

"Hello"

"What do you want?"

"How much?"

"You'll get it!"

"Not so easily. You'll get it only if you tell me the whole truth"

"You think I can't save my mother? Don't you?"

"Just wait and watch now. The tables have turned and now you'll get to see The Manik Malhotra's game"

"Good luck! Trust me, you'll need it. As Manik Malhotra never loses."

After cutting the call, he spoke

M - She has her.

"Bloody bitch"

"God Damnit"

The brothers cursed. Abhimanyu composed himself and called his PA

Ab - Sahil, I want her details. You have got an hour.

I don't care how you do it but, I want it. Do you get it?

Good.

Ab - Bhai, he'll get it

M - Buddy?

Ar - It's done. We've half an hour to tell them

He said gesturing to Cabir and Mukti as they looked like they'll burst any second now.

Manik nodded and turned towards his friends.

M - Guys, have a sit. This might take some time.

C - Finally.

Mu - Manik, you're scaring me now.

M - Come

Manik turned to nandini and spoke

M - Trust me, I didn't want to hide this from you. But, I was afraid.

N - Manik, you don't need to be afraid to share anything with me.

Nandini spoke cupping his face and looking in his eyes lovingly. Manik nodded his head in no and spoke

M - You're getting it wrong, Nandini. It's just that I was afraid that your relation with your loved ones might change after hearing the truth.

N - You're there for me na. I know you won't let anything happen to me even if I fall weak.

Nandini spoke holding immense love in her eyes for her man. Manik squeezed her hands in response.

M - I hope you both will understand my situation and not judge me.

Mu - Aye! Don't go there, Manik. We know you won't hide anything from us unless it concerns everyone's safety.

Abhimanyu looked at her with admiration as he's getting to know her soft side which is a very rare sight to see. He continued to gaze at her lovingly which didn't go unnoticed by Manik but he chose to focus on the task first.  

M - Cabir

C - I trust you

Hearing his friends, Manik's heart swelled with pride while the bhabhi-devars kept admiring their friendship.

M - My mom, Nyonika, she's not what she shows

Mu - You mean to say, all the time she kept hating you was just a drama?

C - Was she being forced to do that?

This is what their friendship was all about. They don't need any explanations. A simple sentence was enough for them to join all the dots. No matter the circumstances, these three stood together and faced all the challenges life threw their way. There were times when they didn't know what to do or how to deal with their problems but, they chose to stick together and that's the beauty of their friendship.

Manik's silence was enough for them to understand that their guess is right and Nyonika was indeed forced to behave the way she did.

C - But why would anyone force her?

M - Revenge! Revenge is a big thing, Cabir. People can stoop to any level to take their revenge without even seeing whether the person receiving such hate is at fault or not. Just in their assumptions, they destroy someone's life. I mean just look at me, I've got loving parents but, all my life, I was all alone and this mansion started to suffocate me. I started to loath my life until Nandini came into my life. You guys were always there for me but, there were certain things that I couldn't share with you both. No matter how much I tried, I couldn't.

Mu - Didn't you trust us?

Though it was barely audible, everyone heard it

M - No Mukti. It's not like that

C - Mukti, we had our share of problems and Manik being our protector didn't want us to be more stressed.

(I so wish I had such friends...)

Mu - Who forced her, Manik?

M - Pallavi Saxena

Mu (whispered) - Alya's Mother
