Lilly's POV
I went to converse with Kingsly briefly and he said, "We have six more cases today and more Aurors have arrived with more Death Eaters and need orders from you."
I replied, "If Lucius wants to expose Death Eaters he may write it down. I'll have my latest writting sent down immediately."
He nodded and went off to lunch himself.

I walked out of the court room to find Harry and Neville waiting for me outside.
I asked, "Do you regret it?"
They shook their heads.
Harry said, "Is he going to be better than he was in school?"
I replied, "He already is better, I can't divulge much, but he's a good person who has had terrible things happen to him. Sound familiar?"
Harry nodded and said, "Well, I must get back to training, it was good to see you Lilly, next time we actually meet not in court?"
I replied, "It's a promise, come to Hogwarts anytime on the weekends, you'll see me there."
Harry hugged me and shook hands with Neville before getting into the lift. I put my arms around Neville's waist and he hugged me commenting, "Nice last minute owl."
I replied, "I'm sorry, but he needs to choose his own path, hard to when he's in prison."
He nodded and kissed my head pulling away saying, "I'll see you later."
I looked at him and let go, I asked, "Are you jealous?"
He replied, "You always show an interest in him, why?"
I replied, "I try to help every lost soul I can. If he was taught to be kind and caring from his father, then he wouldn't be like that."
Neville spat, "And then you could be with the rich and handsome Malfoy."
I replied calmly, "Then I've known I saved a soul to help others, just like I did with Cedric."
He sighed and nodded not looking me in the eye.
I replied, "I've only ever loved you that way Neville, never Malfoy."
He nodded and I pressed my lips to his and he responded into the kiss. He held my waist and pushed me into a dark corner. He pressed me against the wall kissing me passionately and roughly. He gripped my hips tightly and I whimpered slightly. He pulled back asking, "Did I hurt you?"
I shook my head saying, "No."
He smiled and kissed my lips softly and said, "No working late tonight, okay?"
I nodded promising him and I walked to my office.
I saw Draco looking around my office. At this point he was holding my picture frames behind my desk and he came to the front saying, "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to snoop."
I replied smiling and taking off my outer robe, "I don't mind, I'm proud of my decorations."
My office is full of decorations from all the houses, but a Gryffindor baner settles right behind me being the biggest representation of Hogwarts.
He looked at a picture on my fireplace and I said, "Those are my biological parents."
He asked, "Your Muggle dad and Squib mum?"
I nodded as I brought out lunch for us and he looked at the picture of Sirius, Hagrid, Dumbledore, Professor McGonagall and I.
I smiled saying, "That was taken during our 4th year at my request."
He nodded and sat down in front of me while I sat behind my desk. He asked, "What did you want to talk about?"
I replied, "So what's your next plan, Draco?"
He asked, "Next plan?"
I nodded replying, "Yeah, Hogwarts is being rebuilt as we speak so you can go back to school, the Ministry will accept students from our year immediately without N.E.W.T.S from our 7th year, you could travel."
He pondered my words and asked, "Did you ask Potter and Longbottom to be there?"
I smiled nodding. He asked, "Why?"
I replied, "It's hard to choose your own path when you're in jail."
He nodded and said, "Thank you."
I replied, "You're welcome."
We ate in silence for a bit and then I said, "You never answered my question, where are you going now?"
He replied, "I think I'll help repair the castle a bit today. I don't think the Ministry would like to have me as an Auror and I don't really want to travel."
I asked, "What do you want to do?"
He replied, "I want to fix all the damage I've done."
I smiled saying, "I think you've found an answer."
He looked at me curiously as I took out a piece of parchment and quill and wrote a few words down.
I folded the paper and handed him the slip saying, "When you find the answer I know you have, give this to the person stopping you."
He looked at me curiously and nodded as I smiled encouragingly.
A paper flew onto my desk and I unfolded it and sent many papers off to return.
He said, "I should let you get back to work."
I smiled apologetically and said, "I'm sorry."
He replied, "It's alright, it's not your fault, your job is never done."
I smiled and said, "No but eventually it will."
He nodded and stood to leave. I stood with him and hugged him saying, "You'll do amazing things, Draco."
I kissed his cheek briefly and he walked towards the door, but paused holding the doorknob.
He turned to me and I leaned against my desk asking, "Yes, Draco?"
He asked, "If... if I was raised the right way, would we- I mean, could... c-could have we-?"
I waved my hand cutting him off saying, "Best not to dwell on the past, Draco. But that does not mean I say to forget the past in its entirety, we must learn from it."
He nodded and turned the door handle opening it.
I called as he left saying, "Professor McGonagall will be expecting you."
He nodded, smiling genuinely, and closed my office door behind him.

I don't know if I should've said yes, there would've been a chance we would've been together if he was raised differently.
But, Draco is a smart lad, he knows what I mean. He knows that we could've been together and he's going to correct his mistakes.
I signed and finished sending my reports to the Auror teams. It was then time for more trials.
