THE JOY OF GIVING

The joy of giving is greater than any other joy, and can't be expressed in words. True joy lies in the act of giving without the expectation of receiving something in return.

Studies show that the joy of giving lasts longer than the joy of receiving. Happiness did decline or declined much slower when the participants bestowed gifts on others, on the other hand, the happiness for quite a little time when the gifts were bestowed on them.

The best part is that one is never at loss by sharing. Suppose we have a bar of chocolate. We might find ourselves in a dilemma, debating whether we should share it with our sibling/ friend or eat it all by ourselves. If we choose to eat it all by ourselves we might feel full or sometimes we might feel it is too much for us. But if we share, we receive immense happiness and self-contentment, which can't be put into words.

As a community, we need to start giving, it need not be materialistic giving, it can be a simple gesture of kindness, a smile. So, let's all share love and spread positivity, and make this world a better place.
