It was Friday morning at the office, everyone was excited about the fundraiser, everything was in place, the decorations, the refreshments, everything.

Diane walked into Lana's office in excitement, winking and being all goofy  "Lana what are you wearing tonight, I know you plan on turning heads."

Lana wasn't psyched about the ballroom party, she was more concerned about everything going perfectly well as planned, Diane suggested that they go shopping at Forever 21 or Rodeo Drive.

Showing no interest in what Diane was saying, Lana, kept working, "Hey... Come on, I don't know what to wear tonight, I need your help." Diane said trying to get Lana's attention.

"Dee... I still have a lot of work to sort out here, you don't have to worry, there are tons of new dresses at home, you'll just pick one" Lana replied.

Noticing Diane wasn't happy, she exhaled and rolled her eyes, "Fine... maybe we'll go for a spin at the boutiques after work"

"Oh thank you! thank you!! thank you!!!" Diane screeched.

After office hours, they took a drive to Bloomingdales in Beverly Boulevard, Lana loves to shop there, Diane browsed through the dresses but none caught her eye, Lana picked out a few things but not for the party.

Diane got exhausted and a little disappointed, "These dresses me no likey" Diane remarked.

"I told you there are dresses at home I've not worn, very beautiful ones, will you at least see them first?" Lana said.

The idea wasn't appealing to Diane so she reluctantly agreed, "Alright then.."

They got home and without hesitation, Diane dives into Lana's closet digging for a dress to wear to the event, "Oh my God, I love this sparkly one"

It was a silver sequin dress, Diane seemed interested in it, Lana shook her head in disapproval, "Not if you want to look like a disco party ball, that's a big NO" Diane replied emphasizing the word "No"

Lana reaches out for a long rose gold bandage dress, came with matching shoes and a chainmail turban, and hands it over to Diane to try on.

Moments after Diane stepped out with the dress on and it fit her perfectly, "Now that's what I'm talking about" Lana remarked. Diane looked at herself in the mirror and gasped.

"I look like Angelina Jolie on a Met ball night, thanks, Lana."

"You're welcome, Dee Dee."

Diane hugged Lana to show her appreciation.

"So what are you gonna wear?" Diane asked.

"I'll just wear anything" Lana replied.

"What do you mean, you can't just wear anything!"

Lana paced around the sitting room pressing her phone, "Lana are you okay?"

"Oh yeah... it's just that I thought things were going so well, so much for getting back on the horse"

"What are you talking about?" Diane asked.

Lana sighed and pounced on the couch.

"I met someone Dee... this guy, we met in Geneva and we hit it off, it was good, we went on a date, it was perfect! I don't know why he hasn't called me since then, I thought we had something special, or maybe I chased him off!"

"Aww... it's his loss, I'm sorry babes, why didn't you tell me before? Keeping secrets now huh?" Diane joked.

"Thanks, Dee... sorry, I wanted things to get serious first, before saying anything," Lana replied.

"It's alright, I'm just messing with you, we should get ready, you know you're doing makeup for two," Diane said raising her eyebrows.

Diane shook her head and laughed, "Whatever babes... Race you to the bathroom!!!"

Lana did Diane's hair and makeup, Diane had cornrows which is perfect for her chainmail turban. Lana wore a red dress with silver trimmings.
"wow Lana you look amazing," Diane remarked.

They were both ready and left for the fundraiser.

They reached their destination and everything is looking just as Lana hoped. She had some things to attend to and she did so leaving Diane to mingle and enjoy the evening.

Lana looked around to see if everything was going well according to plan and it was; she sighs in satisfaction, the ballroom looking like a bride, everything was as she planned.

She sighted Natalia and waved at her, Natalia was in a short black dress and it looked stunning on her. Lana walked up to her, Natalia grabbed Lana by the hand and pulled her away.

"Lana you have to come to say hi to these people, they're dying to meet you."

"Everyone this is Lana Monroe, she is the brain behind this impeccable evening, she's brilliant isn't she?" Natalia said.

"Thank you very much but I wouldn't have done it without your help" Lana replied.

"Lana this is Mrs. Victoria Colton and Mr. and Mrs. Flynn, they're part of the main sponsors and partners in this fundraiser" Natalia introduces Lana and she replies,

"It is a great honor to meet you"

After a few general discussions, they depart and Lana goes looking for Diane.
