Jay
The boys whooped when I pulled up to the party. Tyler was the first to get out. Apparently he knew who the host was, and the hosts parents are gone for the week.
Tyler waved us in.
"Hey Jay, promise not to get drunk." Chris laughed.
"Yeah!" Eric chimed in. "You gotta drive us home."
I sighed and shook my head.
"No promises guys." I laughed.
I was the last to step in through the door. I was surprised with how many people were already here. I looked at my clock and the party only started twenty minutes ago. I looked towards where the drinks were being served. Cases of beer were stacked as high as the ceiling. I smiled and walked over.
Grabbing four a blonde girl walked up to me. She twirled her hair trying to small talk, but I gave her no response as I went to where my boys were. I handed them each a drink and I opened mine. Taking a swift sip I cringed at the satisfying taste.
Two hours and five drinks later I was with some brunette when Chris pulled me over. Being dragged away I held my fingers up to my ear and mouth "call me". The girl nodded blowing me a kiss.
Chris and I arrived to where Tyler and Eric were. We all were drunk out of our minds and we knew it, but we were so used to it that we adapted to the feeling and still had control over our actions.
"Got him." Chris beamed.
"Nice." Eric said but then quickly directed his attention towards me. "Now, let's have some fun."
I smiled. Knowing what was coming next I clasped Tyler in the back.
"Your first buddy."
After Tyler's, Eric's, and Chris' challenges it was my turn.
"Ok Jay, you challenge is to make the next girl who walks through that door to fall for you." Tyler said.
"Nice one!" Eric laughed taking a gulp from his drink.
I laughed mocking his offer.
"Easy." I scoffed.
I shifted my eyes to the door. My jaw dropped when I saw who was next. I heard Chris laugh and Tyler and Eric oh. I turned to them.
"I got this." I said. I faked a smile to cover up my nerves. The truth is, I'm terrified. I can't get her to fall for me.
"Dude! But it's Ezra! The tomboy! The girl that could beat up a pro football player!" Chris yelled.
"Yeah man," Tyler agreed "you gotta back out of this one."
"No, I got this guys." I assured, but uneasy about my answer. "But I'm not going to do it right now."
"Then when?" Eric bugged.
"In like an hour, my god! Do you guys want to see me get killed?!"
They pondered at my question. I was insulted.
"Guys?!" I yelled.
"No worries buddy, we were just kidding." Tyler laughed.
"No we weren't!" Chris yelled.
I turned and have him the death glare. He took a step back in defeat.
I strained my neck to keep a close eye on the tomboy. The clock hands were rocking down to my death as I waited for them to strike 11. I felt a hand on my shoulder, but I didn't bother to look back.
"Ready buddy?" Eric's voice rang in my ear.
"Not even close."
"Go get the tomboy." And he pushed me towards where she was standing.
I stood there like a complete idiot. I took a gulp and tapped the girl on her shoulder. She turned to face me and almost choked on her water. Why did I agree to do this?
