FLASHBACK:

"I didn't hurt Alyssa." I say, as the woman guides me roughly down the hall in silence. She doesn't even look down. She just sighs. I could see the red imprints on my wrist from her grip. "You're hurting me. Stop." I whine. We take a turn and I see three men in black suits. They see me and I recognize their eyes. They brought me here. "Take me home! Take me home!" I scream. The woman shoves me to them. "This evil little girl hurt Alyssa!" She says. The men exhange glances. "How?" One asks. I grab his pocket. "Mister, I didn't do anything to her. I promise. She even smiled once she saw me leaving out the door." I say, looking up at him. Believe me. The man stares at me for a moment and back up at the women. "She wasn't even in there for forty-five minutes and she was already hurting others!" She screeches. "I did not, lady!" I say, below her. I glare at her. I was getting frustrated. "I did no such thing to anyone!" I scream. "Now take me home. I hate this place." I snap. I pull the man's hand but he doesn't budge. "Did you see Abrielle hurt Alyssa?" The man asks. She shakes her head. "No...but Alyssa was crying." The woman says. "Miss Lakerswell, Alyssa is in here for setting her parent's house on fire. She is one of the most manipulative children in this unit. You are telling me that you believed her for a second? Did she have any marks?" He asks. Miss Lakerswell looks at him. "No. I didn't see any marks." She states. "Okay, so before you come marching up here, think." He snaps. I watch as Miss Lakerswell disappears from the hall. The man brings me into a building. "Abrielle, stay in here for just a moment." The man saysx as he releases my hand. He disappears into another hall. A young woman sits at a desk, looking intently at her computer. "Hi." I say. She smiles. "Hey there." She says. "Are you working?" I ask. She nods. "Can I help?" I ask, with a toothy grin. She thinks silently for a brief moment. "Sure." She says. "All you gotta do is sort all the blue papers with the blue and the purple with the purple." She explains. I smile excitedly. "Alright. I'm good with colors." I tell her. She nods and her eyes go back to her computer. I was nearly done sorting when the man with the black suit walks back in. His lip curves up at the sight of me. "Well what do we have here?" he asks, leaning against the desk. "I'm helping this nice lady with work." I say, proudly. "Ohh, I see. You did a great job. You want to go see your mother now?" He asks. I gasp. "Mommy?! Is she here?!" I scream. He nods. "Lets go." He says, offering his hand. I take it and then i remember something. "Hold on." I say. I take the blue papers and put them in the blue folder and then the purple in the purple folder. "I had to finish my work." I explain. He laughs. "Well aren't you responsible?" He says. I nod, with pride. We walk out the hall as I wave to the lady. I see mother at the door. She had been crying and she had a wild look to her. I run to her, screaming her name frantically.

My eyes open at a bright white light shining in my eyes. I decide to instantly close them again. "She's awake." A voice says.

I feel the light shut off and I slowly open my eyes. I had a IV running through my arm. "What happened?" I ask. I turn to see Charles, my mother, Saxon the police officer, and a middle-aged man with glasses all staring at me.

"Hey honey." My mother says. I try to sit up but Charles comes closer. "No, stay down. It's okay." He says, like I am a child again. I hold a sigh back.

"Why am I in here?" I ask. Then it hit me. I had fainted talking to Nikki. "Oh, I fainted. So what? That happens sometimes." I say.

"Has it happened before?" the middle aged man says. "Yes." I state simply. I look at my mother confused. "Oh, Abrielle. This is Mr. Oakland. He is your lawyer." She says.

"M-my lawyer?" I ask. "Why, yes honey." She says. I look at them with a glare. "Why the hell would I need a lawyer?" I ask.

"Well- " My mother doesn't finish. Mr Oakland speaks instead. "I am here to prove you innocent, Miss Abrielle." He says, with a smile. I look at him stunned.

"I am going to court?" I ask. "I'm afraid so." Mr. Oakland says. I groan. I rip the IV from my arm.

"Honey, calm down." My mother says. I sit on the edge of the bed. I glare at Saxon. He looks at me sadly. I just realized how young he was. He had to be only a couple years older.

"How are you a police if you're so young?" I ask. "I am 24." He simply says. I roll my eyes.

"Well, once you feel strong enough...I will need you get to know you." Mr. Oakland says, as he scoops up his notepad. "Ill see you soon." He says. I wave with a smirk.

"Mother, get me out of here. I want to go home. " I say. "You'll be released in the morning. Lay back down and get some rest." She says. I look at her in disbelief. "Why is everyone against me?" I ask, my face in my hands.

Charles rushes over to me. "We aren't against you." He says. I bite the side of my mouth hard. I could taste the blood. "None of this is right." I state. "We know." My mother says.

"Please get me out of here." I mumble. "In the morning, sweetheart." She says, coming over to me. She kisses my forehead. "Lay down and get some rest." she says.

I do as she says but I don't close my eyes. "She doesn't need to rest just yet." A man stands in the doorway. "I'm Dr. Wimzel." he says, offering his hand. I don't take it. "Well alright. She needs to stay awake for a couple hours. The sedative needs to wear off completely before she heads into REM." he says, analyzing my IV missing.

"I need some water." I demand, rudely. I watch as he calls for a nurse to grab some water. A nurse comes moment later and hands me the plastic cup.

"Do you know you fainted?" he asks. I shrug and drink a sip of water. "You had an anxiety attack." He says. I shrug. "Do you know why?" He asks, raising an eyebrow. I shake my head.

"I thought my best friend was going to die. It was relieving to see her alive and her usual funny self." I say, after silence.

"That caused you to feel in danger?" He asks. I shake my head. "No?" I ask. "Then why would you feel anxiety?" He asks. I look at him with annoyance.

Is he trying to frame me?

"I said I don't know." I state. My mother looks at me with a worrisome expression. Charles stands beside her emotionless.

"Well, Abrielle. Get some rest. You'll be released in the morning. Goodnight." He says, as he walks to the door.

"Mother. I didn't do it!" I snap. My mother doesnt reply, she just begins to cry. Charles holds her in a brotherly way and lets her sob.
