Chapter One
I got military experiment and Telepathy with animal senses. I'm now scared of the military.
Once upon a time, my mother met a beautiful women, whom she then later did the do with and had me. Don't ask me about same sex relationships and how it's impossible to have children because I'm not hearing it. I don't even know much about it myself to be honest.
My name is Alex Merlin Fate, and a son of Hecate. And yes, I get that the Merlin part is funny, get over yourselves.
I lived in Camp Half-Blood with my siblings in the Hecate cabin, was terrible at archery (but not as bad as Percy. That man cannot shoot a bow to save his life), practiced my magic and charged/fought my siblings (nobody got seriously injured).
Overall, it was peace at camp and all of us intended to keep it that way. Percy and Annabeth had moved on to college somewhere, Piper and Jason broke up, Apollo was turned into a mortal, Meg had a pet karpos named Peaches and everything was great.
Until the oversized fuzzy smurf with a pointy tail.
Yeah, up until that point, life was pretty good. My friends keep nagging me to start dating someone, but I argued that I was 16 and just wanted to live life peacefully.
I had fought in both the war against Kronos and Gaea, and plus the fact that I'd been here since I was ten. And now I was 16. Times flies, huh.
Percy and Annabeth were adults by now, and everyone at camp aspired to be them. A few year ago, I couldn't imagine anyone looking up to Percy like a role model. But now, heck, even I looked up to him sometimes.
Where was I? Oh yes, the blue smurf.
The blue smurf had blue skin (obviously), blueish hair that draped over his eyes slightly, and red-ish yellow eyes. And a pointy tail. Did I forget to mention the pointy tail? And three fingers with claws, and two toes. Overall, he looked more like a blue demon then a blue smurf, but blue smurf sounds better. Wait, aren't all smurfs blue?
The smurf had poofed into existence, in a cloud of blue smoke, and now I was tailing him silently through the forest, making sure he stayed away from camp. I could just influence his mind using the mist so he could leave, but lately, I had been getting bored, and bored demigods do reckless things. I also had 2 packets of skittles.
Then I stepped on a branch. I bit on my tongue as a curse threatened to leave my lips. Should've been more careful.
My friends and I have had an ongoing thing about who could not curse out loud for the longest. The winner doesn't have to clean the stables. For a month.
I quickly looked to the smurf. He had suddenly stood up, looking straight at where I was. Ah frick.
Well, I tried. Camp Half-blood had trained with the goddess Lupa for a short session at the wolf house, but it wasn't technically my fault that I couldn't remember much. ADHD had made me focus on the bright yellow butterfly flying lazily around my head.
Damn you butterfly.
Anyways, the blue smurf said, "Who's there." In this weird accent thing. Like, a german accent. So instead, he sounded like he was saying, "Voos zhere."
Since I had given myself away, and I had two packets of skittles, I leaped the smurf, only to have it boomf out of sight in a cloud of blue smoke.
I quickly turned around. Where the Hera could he have gone?
I haven't heard of any demigods with teleporting powers yet, but there could be.
Suddenly, the sound was heard again, and I quickly turned around to meet his punch. Thank you demigods reflexes.
I managed to catch the punch that smurf sent my way and his eyes widened.
He twisted out of my grasp and tried to poof away again, but I managed to tackle him last second. Which was a very bad idea.
The last thing that I saw was a cloud of blue smoke, my body dissolving, and me thinking that I definitely shouldn't have eaten all those skittles.

The moment we reappeared, the smurf punched me in the guts and poofed away again, but not before I altered his memories.
I groaned clutching my stomach in pain. Fuck you smurf.
After recovering from the punch, I looked around, taking in my surroundings.
I was still in New York, I could tell that much with the familiar streets and buildings, but somehow it felt... wrong.
I walked around for awhile finding abandoned theaters, mortals in line for a payphone (who even uses those anymore) and those old fashioned ads plastered onto walls. Overall, it looked like an older version of New York.
I quickly walked up to a news stand, grabbing the newspaper, looking at the date. On it was a black and white picture of a place named Cairo apparently.
I didn't bother reading the bold headlines, my dyslexia prevented me from reading it well without a headache anyways, and focused on deciphering the squiggly noodles that were the date.
February 6th, 1984.
1984.
What the Hades.
1984.
Last I checked I was pretty sure it was March 11th, 2012.
Holy shit, did I time travel?
I was pretty sure that wasn't possible, but with all the crazy thing that have happened recently, I wouldn't even be surprised anymore.
Instead, I focused on finding camp.
I still had my sword on me, in its necklace form, the sword pendant dangling from it's chain.
The camp necklace was also there in all its beaded and leather glory.
My enchanted charm bracelet was also still on my wrist so that was good. On my bracelet were a few charms with an enchantment on them. The bag could turn into a bottomless bag that could fit anything. I had ambrosia and nectar stored in there, as well as clothes, drachma, and Hecate children stuff.
I trudged toward the direction of Long Island, familiar farm roads entering my vision.
I walked through the forest before reaching the recognizable border of camp.
But instead of the familiar pine tree, there was....
Nothing.
Absolutely nothing.
Which left me confused and scared. Where could they all have gone? Camp existed since the times of Ancient Greece. Just because I time traveled didn't mean camp would disappear.
I started panicking, my heart pounding in my chest. Camp was like a family to me. A slightly chaotic and crazy one, but the demigods at camp had grown very close to my heart.
I couldn't bear to lose them.
After my slight breakdown, I managed to gather my composure and turned around running away from the place that was once my home.
Soon, I reached the New York metropolitan area, commonly known as the Tri-state area. One of the largest metropolitan areas in the world.
Slowly, I let reality catch up to me. Camp was gone, I was in the past, and the person who brought me here was the smurf. Who I just altered the memories of. Gods I'm an idiot.
I erased the memories of the only person who could've helped me.
Theories started spinning in my brain. Could this be another universe? There were certainly a lot of facts that could support this.
For example, I'm pretty sure blue colored mortal-like beings didn't exist in my world. Even though I'm pretty sure that if they did, Percy would be a very happy demigod.
Also, the fact that camp doesn't seem to exist in this place anymore should also be a huge clue. This could mean that the Gods don't exist here either. Which is a good and bad thing
This meant that the gods couldn't have done this, and this also meant that the gods couldn't help me here. Probably. This was like Alaska.
This also meant that there probably weren't any monsters in this place.
Never mind all that. I knew that I was in unfamiliar territory, and that I would have to tread lightly here.
I continued walking until I was tired, ending up in a place in New York called Westchester County.
I decided that this was a good place to rest for a bit.
Altering the minds of the mortals was harder than it should have been. There were a lot of mortals around this area, and wrapping and spreading the mist around all their heads to make them believe I already lived here meant that I had to cast a very light layer of mist around their heads, making it easily broken through.
I had to make sure none of them were suspicious why a random kid appeared in their neighborhood. They were bound to ask questions.
I chose a nice elderly couple and used the mist to plant false memories into their heads, making them believe that I was their son, and I had been living with them since I was 10 after my parents died.
I felt bad for manipulating them and using them like this, but I needed to make sure I could pass off here for a while to gather my energy and to investigate this new, but familiar territory.
The elderly couple was glad to take me in immediately, somehow even having a bed prepared for me.
They felt familiar to me, but I wasn't sure who they were exactly. But I put that off of my head.
As soon as the couple left, whom I learned the names were Michael and Ivy, I grabbed on the bag charm of my bracelet, the enchanted charm expanded into a large leather bag.
I rummaged inside for a couple of drachmas, a glass rectangular prism, a spray bottle and a flashlight.
I turned on the flashlight, setting the glass prism down, with the flashlight behind it, making a rainbow shine through. Then I sprayed water on the rainbow, creating rainbow mist.
Not the best and most effective way of creating an Iris-Message, but I had to improvise here. I wasn't even sure this was gonna work.
I threw in a drachma and said, "Oh Iris, goddess of the Rainbow, please accept my offering. Show me Thomas Smith at Camp Half-blood."
The drachma passed through the mist and disappeared, making me more confused. I originally thought that because the gods may not exist in this world, Iris Messaging wouldn't work, but here it still does for some reason.
The brown hair of the Demeter kid I was looking for appeared.
"Hey! Hey Tommy!" I yelled into the mist.
"Huh? Alex? Where are you?" Tommy looked around widely before he spotted the IM.
"Oh my gods Alex, you're alright." Tommy said, breathing a sigh of relief. "Every one was panicking when you disappeared. It was like the incident with the talking trees all over again. No one could find you!"
Then Tommy paused, "Wait, where are you? Were you kidnapped? Do you need help?"
"No! What makes you think that I would be dumb enough to be kidnapped?" I asked incredulously.
"You had two packets of skittles. That's enough information for me. So, if you aren't kidnapped, where are you?" Tommy asked.
"I never said I wasn't kidnapped." I stated.
"Are you?" Tommy raised an eyebrow.
"...no."
"Exactly. And don't think I haven't noticed you dodging my question. Where are you Alex."
"Um, I'm in New York. Yeah." I said, nodding intelligently.
Tommy rolled his eyes. "Yes, New York, good for you. That wasn't so bad, was it? Now why haven't you come back to camp yet?"
"I-" I was cut off when there was a loud explosion behind Tommy.
"Da-AAAAANgggg it." He stopped himself. "I probably shouldn't be in the Hephaestus cabin and not be paying attention to my surroundings. Well Alex, get back to camp quickly. Every one was worried and every one is ready to punch you."
At this point, I might as well tell him, right?
"I can't" I say bluntly.
"You can't or you won't." Tommy says, a little hurt.
"I can't." I say, reassuring, "I would really like to go back to camp, but I can't right now."
"Why not?"
"You see, it started with this smurf-" I started.
"Smurf?" Tommy echoed.
"Yes, smurf." I nodded, "Anyways they had this teleporting power thing and I think they may have teleportedmeintoanotheruniverse?"
"I'm sorry, what?"
"Teleported me into another universe." I repeated, slower this time.
"Yeah, I heard you the first time, I just didn't believe my ears. How are you in another world?"
"I don't know, to be honest." I say, "I'm trying to find out why, and how to get back, but I'm laying low for now. The gods don't exist in this world, so this is gonna be a bit harder."
"Yeah. I'm telling the rest of the camp you're okay, but you don't know when you can get back, is that okay?" Tommy asked.
"Sure, sure."
"And I'm also telling them you're only staying away because you want to avoid being punched."
"Su- wait what?"
"Bye!" Tommy says laughing, slashing through the Iris Message.
Un-freaking-believable. I sigh as a put the spray bottle down, my arms feeling sore.
I stuff my stuff back into the bag, turning it back into a charm.
I lay down and the bed, as I drift off into the land of Morpheus, wondering how the Hades I got myself into this situation.
(2148 Words)
This chapter was, meh. I lost inspiration a little towards the end, when I realized I hadn't added much dialogue, just what was in Alex's head. So I tried to adding more dialogue, before realizing I didn't have much to say. Thomas is the friend we all need.
Constructive criticism is appreciated, and if you notice something wrong with the story comment or something, etc. The next chapter will be about the X-men so yeah...

P.S. my friend said that this sounds too cheerful for someone who went through shit, but Alex had six years to process all of this, and he has good friends too. He didn't have shitty parents, and even though no one can replace his family, he has the camp and his friends. I can't believe that I actually finished the next chapter in one and a half days.
The skittles are because when I have two packets of skittles, that's what I would probably think like. I have had two packets of skittles before.
