Hiccup POV
"Are you sure about this Hic?" Jack asked me as we reached the front doors. The plan was risky, I knew that. But that didn't matter. My friends needed me to confident and we had to trust each other if we had even a small chance to pull this off.
"I'm sure," I assured him. Jack had his arm around Rapunzel as she helped him to walk
"Whatever happens, we're in this together." Punzie smiled, lightly squeezing Jack. I slipped my hand into Merida's.
"Together." We repeated. We pushed open the doors and walked through. In front of us were dozens of enemy agents, staring us down. Guns were aimed directly at us.
"This is a stupid plan," Merida mumbled under her breath though I knew she could tell I heard her. I squeezed her hand and elbowed me. It was weird to think of how numb we had gotten to the idea of being shot at. We were in danger and yet it didn't matter. With dozens of guns pointed at us, it still felt like Merida and I were the only two people in the world.
"Go." As we planned Jack, collapsed, drawing attention to him just enough so that I could get past the guards. Merida used her perfect aim to take down anyone who got too close and I tried my best not to turn around to make sure she was okay. I felt a bullet sink into my leg and I groaned. I barely made it to the nearest security van before the pain became too much. Once I got inside I was able to hack back into our security system. I watched on the cameras as Elsa argued with someone. There was a flicker of something in her eyes before she raised the gun in front of her and fired. I gasped before focusing on the bullet that had been buried in my skin. Based on what I had learned from my old team, I managed to reverse engineer the technology they used in the bullet along with what I knew to discover the frequency I needed to interrupt the signal of their mind control. I sent out a blast of electricity and Elsa fell to her knees as the power flickered in the building.
The cameras shut off leaving me in the dark as to whether or not it worked. While I waited for the cameras to come back, I checked out the window to see if I could spot my friends. The most I could spot was a glimpse of red hair but it was enough. I had faith that it hadn't all been fo-
