Merida POV
After Monopoly, the four of us just talked. Hiccup and I told them all about our relationship. Jack confessed his feelings for Elsa that we all already knew about and Rapunzel told the truth about their past flings. It felt like we were getting to know each other all over again.
"I can't believe we're getting split up again." Rapunzel sighed sadly. After the team had reunited we assumed nothing could break us apart.
"I don't know how much I've got left in me." Jack mumbled, surprising us all.
"What?" Hiccup asked what we were all thinking.
"I've been thinking about it and...I think after we take down our old agency, I'm going to retire." He admitted and I couldn't help the frown on my face. "We've been doing this since we were kids and I think I'm ready for something different."
"Honestly, I kind of agree." Punzie sighed. "Especially if you're not coming back. As much as I love everyone here, I do miss when things were just the four of us. It was simpler then."
"It'd be nice to settle down." Hiccup added, looking at me. I had to admit, as much as I loved the thrill, it would be nice not to worry about dying all the time. "Build a real life together."
"Do you want to get married and have babies running around the backyard of our suburban house?" I asked mockingly though part of it didn't sound horrible.
"Maybe." He shrugged.
"I think I'd like that." I confessed. Punzie looked at me with what could only be described as heart eyes. Jack looked confused and Hiccup looked happily surprised. "What? Just because I like to shoot arrows at people doesn't mean I don't want a family!" She laughed.
"Whatever we do after this, can we promise it's together?" Punzie asked anxiously.
"Always." We all promised. We had gone through so much together that we were bonded for life.
"Now I want to go punch things." I announced, trying to move past all of the feelings.
"We are on strict orders to rest." Hiccup reminded me, pulling me back into his arms. I leaned against his chest and his arms wrapped around my torso.
"Are you sure you two dont want the room tonight?" Punzie teased earning a pillow to the head. The pillow ruffled her hair and she gasped before glaring me down. I laughed as she picked up the pillow, coming toward me. Hiccup held on to my waist, preventing me from dodging her attack.
"Traitor." I mumbled under my breath. He laughed in my ear as Punzie slammed the pollow into my face. From there, she went and hit Jack for laughing too hard and soon enough a full blown pillowfight had broken out.
That night we all went to sleep, staying together in the same room. It felt right to be back with my old teammates for a night. We would always be a family. And while spying may not be forever, I was so glad my family was.
