I'm sorry that I couldn't keep the promises I made

I'm sorry that you have to sleep in the bed of poison that I laid

I'm sorry that I never thought of you when I made rash decisions

I'm sorry that I ran into the suffocating forest without putting you in my vision

However I can't say I'm sorry without first saying thank you

Thank you for being someone I can strive to be

Thank you for being the person I can trust in life's thrashing sea

Thank you for always smiling and motivating me to always aim high

Thank you for always giving me a reason to try
