Life is a tidal wave of events and memories

Thrashing all around you, it tries to force you to sink

The waves are relentless and tiring

It feels like no matter what, you'll get pushed to the brink

But I want to keep standing

With my feet planted on the ground, I want to overcome

No matter what, I want to be unwavering

Until my legs and mind are numb

I want to stand on what I believe in, on who I want to become

My goals may seem unreachable like the stars

And though every step may cause me to bleed

The most beautiful minds came from their scars
