Chapter 1

Victoria Grace "Tory" Brennan, Hiram Moshe "Hi" Stolowitski, Benjamin "Ben" Blue, and Shelton Devers and look around at Comic-Con in San Diego, California. Hi is Iron Man, Shelton is Obi-Wan Kenobi, Tory is Wonder Woman, and Ben is not dressed up. They find Dr. Temperence "Tempe" Brennan on an upper level of the building, where she is signing books. Tory wants to go to the Bones (TV show) panel later, but then she hears someone scream from another exhibit.

Chapter 2

Tempe, Tory, Shelton, Ben, and Hi find out a model of the T-800 from the Terminator series is gone. A foam statue of Shrek has been destroyed. Luckily, the King Kong statue wasn't vandalized. They are in the "Movie Magic" exhibit. Tory finds a note that says "We have the T-800. Transfer $50,000 to the PayPal address below, BY NOON TODAY, or the machine will be destroyed. Shrek was only the beginning." Tempe finds that the glass case T-800 was in was made from "tempered glass." and that the suspect used a gun to break in. The police then asks Tempe and her friends to leave because a clean-up crew is coming.

Chapter 3

The police, Tempe, and the Virals talk about how the thief could've stolen the T-800. Tempe and the police leave and the Virals plan on how to find the thief. Tory has a clever plan.

Hi is now wearing Ben's clothes, Ben is Iron Man, and Shelton is Obi-Wan. Tory and Hi plan to sneak into the backstage rooms.

Chapter 4

Tory and Hi sneak into the backstage rooms and find fake weapons in a weapons room and there are fake medieval battles going on outside. They find the name of the person that left the message: Frank Conners.

Chapter 5

Tory puts Hi in knight armor in hoping to find Frank Conners. Hi is led onto the field and the first battle is lost, but then Hi and the other Virals "flare". That helps Hi's team win the battle against Frank Connors/"Lord Mace". Tory finds hair from the King Kong statue on Frank's armor.

Chapter 6

The police, Tempe, and the Virals interrogate Frank, but he doesn't say a word. They think about how Frank got in until a tech person rewinds the tapes. They find that the curtain to the exhibit moved.

Tempe, the police, and the Virals find how Frank got it, but it doesn't explain the broken glass. Their first theory was bullets from a gun. Now, it's that Frank didn't use a gun.

Chapter 7

Tory tells everyone the evidence and what she found. She also says that Shrek was hacked because Frank hid in it and that the Terminator is in the King Kong statue. She proves it an the crowd cheers. They also find a gun in the Terminator.

Chapter 8

The Virals chase Frank Connors down in San Diego before they find him escaping in a yacht called My Second Wife.

The Virals use their "flare" powers to take down Frank on My Second Wife.

Frank Connors is arrested and Tempe congratulates the Virals.
