All UniKL players arrive early at the hall that morning. They will face UNITEN for the 1st round of Men's Regu.

"Well, opening the action by facing one of our neighbour, huh. Not bad", said Isa.

"Yes. But despite them being underdog, we shouldn't let ourselves caught off guard", said Hariz.

"That's true. We never knew what they capable of just like they didn't know what are we capable of", said FH. On their way to the hall, they met UPNM players.

"Congratulation for winning the team regu event. Too bad we didn't face each other in the final", said Rafiq.

"That's true. But we might facing each other in the semi-final in regu", said Hariz.

"We'll be looking forward to it", said Azim. Then, they went separated way.

"Do you know them?" asked Isa.

"Kind of", said Hariz.

"You're connected by many people through the sports, huh", said Erina.

"Well, I've played sepak takraw since primary school after all", said Hariz.

"And represent your nation once too", said Taneekarn.

"Yes. Sepak takraw is been part of my life since before my parent getting divorce after all", said Hariz.

"I see", said Erina. Then, all players that will be part of the regu event go to warm up as UniKL will be in the first match against UNITEN.

"Okay, boys. Listen up. This is the first match. So, go and take the win. We need a win if we want to be a double champion. Understood?" asked coach Luqman.

"Yes, coach", replied all players. Then, the organiser make the announcement for regu for the first match of preliminary round to get ready. Then, they make their way to the court to be introduced to the crowds.

"Easy match in the first round, huh. So lucky", said Dinn

"Don't look down on others that way, rookie. If your uncle is not our club's advisor, you won't even be here", said AZ.

"That's true", said Acap.

Then, reserve players went to back of the court with their coaches and team managers while the players that will be in action is getting ready for the match. For the first set, UniKL will starts the match with their serve. All players then get into their position. When the referee asked the match to be started, FH asked Hariz to tossed the ball high before he served the ball with his horse kick serve. UNITEN players failed to pick the ball up and giving UNIKL the first point. For the second set, FH served the ball with drop serve. UNITEN's feeder managed to get the ball before sets it high for the killer to hit the ball with a role spike. Hariz tried to block it but the ball hits his leg before the ball went out of play. Then, for the 3rd serve, FH served the ball with his horse kick serve that was 71 km/h that is too much for UNITEN's players to take it giving UniKL 2-1 lead.

"Just 2-1 lead, huh. I thought they will crush their opponent completely", said Alwi.

"Well, still to early for that. Besides, it's just their first serve after all", said Rafiq.

"That's true", said Azim.

Then, it's the UNITEN's turn to serve. Their first serve stuck at the net giving UniKL the 3rd point. Their second serve made it to UniKL's side and Zarep managed to lift up the ball with his foot before sets it high for Hariz to hit the ball with a hand stand spike to give UniKL the 4th point.

"He still didn't use his role spike, huh", said AZ.

"That's true. He always used hand stand spike in this tournament instead of the role spike that he was so proud of it. It's either he wants to develop it more or he let the role spike to be his ultimate weapon that not many people can watch it", said Acap.

Then, UNITEN served their 3rd serve that FH managed to get the ball before Zarep sets the ball for Hariz to hit it with his hand stand spike again. UNITEN's killer failed to block it as UniKL taking the 5th point. The serve then back to UniKL. The first serve by FH hits the top of the net before the ball drops to UNITEN's side to give UniKL the 6th point.

"They're really relax aren't they", said Alwi.

"Yeah. FH seldomly used his over 65km/h horse serve, Zarep can even sets the ball in the first touch, and Libas's spike is not as fast as it always be", said Azim.

"I wonder if they rust", said Rafiq.

"I don't think so. I watched the video  of their match against Sungkyunkwan. It's totally different though compare to this match", said Alwi.

"Yes, and Libas not using his role spike yet in this tournament is still a mystery", said Rafiq.

"Yes, of course his hand stand spike is good but not using his favourite role spike is a thing to be talk about", said Azim.

"Let's see more about them", said Alwi. The rest just nodded.

10 minutes later;

The current score is 19-6. Hariz tossed the ball to FH and FH serve it that managed to reach UNITEN's feeder that lifts the ball up before sets it for the killer to spike it but the timing is a bit off making Zarep easily get the ball as soon as it's enter UniKL side and then he sets it for Hariz to hit the ball with his hand stand spike that making the ball landed on UNITEN's side to give UniKL the game point. Then, FH serves the ball that reaches UNITEN's tekong that quickly pass it to the feeder to set it before the killer hits it with a roll spike but Hariz managed to block it causing the ball to landed near the net at UNITEN's side giving UniKL the 1st set win. For the 2nd set, coach Luqman decided to change both tekong and killer.

"Why are they changing players? Are they look down on their opponent?" asked Dinn.

"Their coach just want to give players to rest. Besides, look down on their opponent? The tekong and killer that just came in are the same one that gives the team regu champion title to UniKL yesterday, don't you remember?" asked AZ.

"It's not they defeated UPNM's number one regu", said Dinn.

"But they managed to defeat the regu that our boys failed to defeat. Actually, right now. You're the one that looks down on them", said Acap.

Meanwhile, the 2nd set is started with UNITEN's serve. The tekong serve the ball with a high speed serve but Zarep managed to pick it up and sets it for Isa to hit the ball with a role spike that UNITEN failed to block and it gives UniKL the first point. Later for the 2nd serve, the service made by the tekong went out from the court giving UniKL another point. For the 3rd serve, it's go directly to Zuwe. Zuwe stops the ball with his head before Zarep sets the ball for Isa to hit it with another role spike to give UniKL another point. Then, it's UniKL turn to serve. Isa tossed the ball before Zuwe served it with his horse kick serve. UNITEN's feeder managed to pick it up but he sets the ball too low causing the killer can't use any spikes, so he just kicks the ball to the UniKL's side. Isa picks the ball and sets it himself before hit it with his role spike to give UniKL another point. That set ended with UniKL wins 21-7.

"I expected no less than that for a team that managed to win the team regu event", said Rafiq.

"Yes. They had a great players in their team. I won't be surprise if they win the regu event too but it will not be that easy", said Azim.

"Of course it won't", said Alwi.

Meanwhile, team UniKL players are cooling down while listen to what coach Luqman had to say.

"Okay, boys. Congratulation for wining the first match. For the match just now, I can't comment much of it since you just up against some rookies after all. But for the quarter-final tomorrow, it will be much more different since you'll face the winner of the match between UPM and UPSI. You know very well how tough they are. So, after this, you may checked on other games too. That's all from me", said coach Luqman.
