It stung for Tiana to have to ask Vera to find some more matches for her, she didn't want to go out on these dates. She didn't know what was wrong with her but she didn't feel a connection with any of them maybe these next few men would be different, but her Mother was beginning to get worried. Apparently, Cris Lenin and his Father who is the Advisor had tried to spread a rumor that Tiana was mean and crud during that date, which Tiana couldn't deny was a complete lie but she was lucky that Vera had calmed everything down and sorted it all out. The rumor didn't leave Tiana without consequences as once word got out people who Vera had lined dates up in the past suddenly didn't want to go on the date anymore and that hurt Tiana.

She knew that she was hot so suddenly when she didn't have guys jumping at the chance to take her out on a date was a change for her no matter that she didn't even like the guys Vera chose. Tiana went as far as trying to go to the pubs and chatting up guys who shared with her but she didn't feel a good connection with any of them━ this was before Anton had passed so she didn't have any pressure but she needs an heir so it's getting to the point of Tiana wanting to be with someone she tolerates instead of is in love with. She's starting to think that type of love doesn't exist, that it is just fictional because why can't she get love like that?

Tiana looks away from her slippered feet and looked toward the giant windows that showed the beautiful courtyard, it was night time so she couldn't see the details but she could see that pathway with the streetlight they had installed, it made it look so cozy. She turned towards the door, she was about to summon Betty to see if she could get Tiana her coat so they could take a late-night walk but the smile drifted from her face when she remembered that she sent Betty home. It's been awkward since the other night when Tiana wanted to kiss her, she hasn't been able to look Betty in the eyes and it's clear that Betty doesn't know what is going on because she always seems hurt or confused when Tiana snaps her hand back quickly after she hands something to Betty or Betty hands something to her.

She doesn't know what is wrong with her but almost since then every time Tiana has gotten close, her heart speeds up and she just wants to try and kiss Betty again but Tiana knows she can't. It's wrong, and Tiana knows that, she's also aware that it's not the first time she's wanted to kiss a girl. She remembers the first time was when she saw a waitress at the pub she was trying to pick up guys at and across the room she saw this girl bending over a table as she was cleaning it and then suddenly Tiana had an overwhelming feeling to kiss her. She was scared so she left, without a guy and confused.

Tiana stands up and walks towards the window, she places her hands on the cool glass. She can feel the heavy winds whip against it and rattle the windows with the cold air, she closes her eyes and presses her forehead against the glass. Sometimes Tiana wishes that things weren't like this, that she didn't have these sinful thoughts because her life would be easier. She turns so her back is against the glass and she slides down onto the floor into a sitting position, she can feel her fluffy rug under her fingers and go in between her hands.

She reaches up toward her neck and her fingers catch the necklace that Anton had picked out for her 17th birthday. Vera had given it to her a little while as a late birthday present as Tiana's birthday didn't go to plan since then Tiana has worn it to bed every night, it's not what she would normally wear as it's more unstated which is why Tiana wears it to bed because Anton got it for her and she wants to honor him. Her head clinked against the glass with a thump when she rested against it.

She chuckled at the thought of what her uncle would say if he could see her like this, broken, defeated, and confused. Tiana was done, she was lowering her standards and the next guy she goes on a date with that Vera sets up, is going to be the one it doesn't matter if she likes him or not. Just whatever she can do to succeed in getting in the heir to make sure the Malinowski Lineage moves on her with her, not Leif.
