19 | Ding Dong, The Witch Is Dead
*Blue's POV*
I need to stop lying to myself.
Telling myself that Mom isn't dead, that she's still in her room, locked up tight, and not at the funeral home down the streets that we're passing by in Mr. Davenport's car as Chase and Bree and Adam and Leo are trying not to stare at me as I stare down at my hands, just silently crying. And telling myself that nothing is going on between me and Chase, that the whole storage closet and little pep-talks and comforts and catching me once I fell off the lockers meant absolutely nothing to him. Or me.
Telling myself that I'm not in love with him, and that there's no possible way that he would ever love me because... Because boys can't fall in love with sad girls.
I'm only fooling myself, wait, no, I'm not even fooling myself. All these lies inside my head aren't the least bit convincing. So what if I'm in love with him? Sure, it's not a business relationship anymore, but we're just friends... Right? I mean, Bree's comforted me one out of the fifteen times Chase has.
I closed my eyes and leaned my head on Chase's shoulder, wiping off the excess tears and just laying there as Chase wrapped his arm around me until we pulled up at their mansion.
"What do you think, Blue?" Mr. Davenport asked me as we all climbed out of the car. I looked up at the house, tilting my head back and leaning on my heels so it looked like it was about to fall and crush me.
"Big D, it's not like she hasn't been here before." Leo said as he carried out some of my luggage (which was only five bags).
"Is she okay?" I heard Adam ask.
"Yes, Adam. She's perfectly fine. She's in poverty, she's in depression, we just killed her mother, and now we're forcing her to move in with us. Who wouldn't be fine in that situation?" Chase snapped.
"Well you didn't have to say it like that..."
"Okay, Chase, what is up with you? Ever since we... Executed Blue's mother you've been acting really uptight. Not that you're never uptight." Bree scolded.
I looked over my shoulder at the four who had just started a big argument and I just picked up one foot after the other until I came up to the door and waited as Mr. Davenport followed me up to unlock the door.
"You don't have to say anything, Blue. I just wanted you to know two things. One, we basically just saved you from going to an orphanage and probably never getting out. And two, you can stay in the guest bedroom upstairs to the right. It's pretty big for what you're used to, but I feel like you need some space right now. I'll tell Adam, Bree, Chase, and Leo to leave you alone for now."
He handed me two of my luggage bags and I lifted them up to my room with no trouble because of my eye powers. They must have been glowing again because there was a magenta tint all the way up the stairs, leading me to the guest bedroom.
What it looks like when her eyes are in action or glowing.
I looked into the room and, refusing to turn on the light, just threw my bags on the floor and fell onto the bed into a heap of sobs as the tears came running.
Only, my tears weren't normal tears. They weren't clear and transparent. They were... Glowing. Lifting up a hand to my eye, I caught a tear on the tip of my finger and nearly screamed.
Whatever I was crying, it wasn't tears. They would have been clear. These tears were a glowing lilac, a liquid purple color that had been spilling out of my eyes. I leaped up and ran to the bathroom mirror, checking my face and sure enough, there were trails of glowing purple stains left on my cheeks. Neon purple tears that were glowing. This isn't normal.
"Mr. Davenport!" I screamed at the top of my lungs. I heard a crash downstairs and Mr. Davenport ran into the room, checking my cheeks, his eyes widening.
"What's wrong with m-me?" I sobbed as more purple tears spilled down my cheeks. Mr. Davenport slowly inched closer to me, pure terror written on his face.
"We need to get you down to the lab... Right now. CHASE, ADAM, BREE, LEO!" Mr. Davenport helped me down the stairs and when I saw the four, they gasped and covered their mouths.
"Why are her tears glowing?" Bree squeaked.
"I don't know. We need to get her to the lab, right now!" Mr. Davenport cried as Chase and Leo grabbed my arms and wrapped my arms around their shoulders as I felt this pang in my stomach, rising near my heart.
I felt adrenaline race through my veins as the glowing tears fell down and stained my clothes. I felt a surge of power run though my veins as well, passing the adrenaline and running to my fingertips. Clutching my fists to contain the glowing mist coming from my hands, I screamed as a white hot pain hit my palms.
Once we were down in the lab, Chase and Leo set me down on a console and I sobbed again, purple tears streaming down my cheeks and the glowing in my hands getting stronger.
Bree rushed over to me and grabbed my hand, yelling something over to Mr. Davenport as he grabbed the eye magnifier thingy. He put it up to my face and watched as the tears rolled down my cheeks...
"Guys... Go get the magnified camera. I'm getting something." After about ten minutes of not feeling anything, Mr. Davenport showed me a picture of what he found and I didn't know what to think when I saw it.
"Okay... So my glowing tears are made of what, exactly?" I asked the Davenports as they inspected the photo closer.
Chase came over to me, and grabbed my hand which I took as a bad sign. I looked up into his hazel eyes and he looked back at mine. "Blue... Your tears are made of supernovas."
I nodded like I totally understood what that was. "Okay... What is that?"
"Supernovas are collapsing stars. You know, how in the middle of the night if you see a yellow and flickering star that means it's falling or dying?"
I nodded again. "Well, that's what you're crying. But that's sort of impossible, heh, unless you're from space."
We all laughed half-heartedly like nothing was wrong when on the inside, I was positive we all were thinking the same thing.
I was probably born in another planet.

So many pictures!
Anyway, hope you guys are enjoying this book, I'm enjoying writing it! Comment your comments and make sure to vote! I also need your opinions... Blue is going to meet someone who is going to become more than just a friend, and I need some name ideas.
The actor who I'm choosing to play him will either be Brandon Brooks or Brendon Urie.
Anyway, tell me which one you like better and what name he should have. Spike may be showing up too out of jelly...
