basically lmao what was gonna happen was her parents go all 'yeah, okay, we dont really get it but we still love you' and shit, only in the middle of the night her dad shows up in her bedroom and hits her cause hes a transphobic asshat

and then she was gonna use the magic symbol to summon the demon guy

and he was gonna come and take her away and tie lyla's dad up with his own belt and say, 'yknow, id do you if you werent such an asshole' because satan is gay as gay fucking and i like to fuck with my readers' minds and make you see things you wish you didnt see

and then he was gonna take lyla away saying 'lets get you someplace safe. what would you like me to call you from now on?' and it was gonna be hella wholesome and cute and they were gonna live happily ever after at least for a while idfk how long it takes before ever afters end, ask hans christian andersen and the brothers grimm.
