Of course you can! Do you have to be a dog to support animal rights? No. The same rule applies for supporting LGBT rights and equality. If you are afraid to be open about your support to the LGBT community, then you need to make two things clear to those around you: the first being that being gay and being a supporter are not exclusive to each other, and the second being that you're not just supporting gay rights -- you're supporting equality for ALL people, regardless of their sexual orientation or gender identity.
