Second Method

Hi vocabulisers! *-*

Today, I've come up with another method of lexical experimentation and I'm much excited to introduce it. So let's begin! :)

This method is called:

Combining words (mostly nouns) with suffixes.

It sounds a bit confusing but I'll clear it for you. We have a standard where we know that colour goes with -ful or -less but how about experimenting a bit and adding -ation to it as in colouration? =)

Here are a few examples to further explain the concept.

1) pasteline: This word is a combination of 'pastel' with -ine and can be used as an adjective i.e to describe pastel shades. For example, 'I'm a lover of pasteline shades.'

2) wondericle: This might be a good representative of some little thing that's a wonder despite of its smallness. So, that would make it a noun made by combining 'wonder' with -cle. For example, 'That ring was a wondericle!"

3) canopious: I actually added -ous after 'canopy' to make this word. It can be used as an adjective for something that is protective and proves as a shelter since canopy means 'cover or shelter'. For example, 'My mother encompassed me in her canopious shawl.'

4) corralation: I combined 'corral' with -ation to make another noun which can be used for a process of gathering and encompassing things as corral means 'to gather'. For example, 'The corralation of animals was the duty of that young boy.'

5) elixirence: A combination of 'elixir' and -ence which means a healing quality since 'elixir' means a magical healing potion. It can be used as a noun. For example, 'Her elixirence helped me recover from my illness in no time.'

There, you have five examples now. Let's see how many words you can create by combining nouns with suffixes. Leave your words in the comment section and let us enjoy this aura of creation along with you all. =)♥
