you kept me guessing...

Crying...

wondering...

If what we had was truly love.

or just an illusion of it.

But when you opened my eyes and told me when we're through...

I did something I never thought I'd do...

I smiled?

I smiled?

then I sat and wondered why.

then I realized...

I thought you were the one holding me together but no...you were tearing me apart you always have...

I thought you were the cure but you were the virus...

and you eliminated yourself...

I smiled because I knew you could no longer bring me pain. 

I would no longer question...

I would no longer cry...

I would no longer go crazy...

or wonder why?

I was free...

So I wish you well with your life... 

For now, i'm happy with mine.

who knows? maybe we can try again someday somewhere down the line.

when and if we cross paths again.

but for now, I say goodbye dear friend.

l can smile again.

this poem was written because I recently got out of a relationship...when he ended it for some reason I smiled and I thought I should share this with you guys..expect more content soon...
