"Is it delicious?" He asked with a cheery and amused toned as he watches the toddler seated in front gobble down the last of his burger.

"Yes!" The happy yet still hungry toddler replied to the older man in glee.

"Do you want another one?" The old man chuckled happily.

"Yes, please!" The boy responded with a bounce and fist pump with earned a hearty laugh from the older gentleman. 

As the display of affection and love between an uncle and his fucking nephew just unraveled in front of (Name)'s face, she couldn't help but feel jealousy and betrayal burn within her body.

Why are you so happy? She thought bitterly with a scowl on her face for the man who was currently walking away to get more food.

Is it because you don't cause him turmoil? She stood up and headed towards Baxton, the 5 year old whom had gotten more love and attention she herself never got from her own god damn father.

Why are you more loved than I was from my own dad?! Her body trembled and shook. Not from anger or hatred, no, but from jealousy and hurt.

He wasn't there for me...so why is he here for you?! She screamed inwardly as she let her agony filled tears drop in front of the confused and caring kid.

"Auntie (Name)? " the kid called and motioned a hug for his sad cousin.

She shook her head to deny the kid of his thoughtful offer and smiled in a bittersweet manner at him then walked away.

She just walked and walked, ignoring the looks of strangers as she passes them by with a tear stained face, until she saw a nearby park. It was perfect for her to cry out loud in peace since it was quite deserted.

So there she sat, alone on the swing-set, in the lonely park.

Why is it so hard for him to show me love but he can display it so easily when it comes to Baxton or anyone else?! And with that thought, she had cried the hardest she had ever cried. Even more than when her late mother had been declared deceased after that horrible car accident.

"(Name)..." He called suddenly out of thin air.

She froze.

She held back all the whimpers and tried to wipe away any evidence that indicated she was crying or sad.

So she forced on a smile.

"What're you doing out here, Levi?" She stood up and turned around to face her husband then said in a nonchalant tone that he had caught her using every time he catches her in pain.

Levi tried.

He tried to coax it out of her every single way he could think of.

But she would never budge, she would never show any form of sadness or pain in front of him no matter how big of an argument it would produce.

So all Levi could do was to comfort her, even when she denies the reason why he does it.

Although this time, he couldn't take it anymore. He could hear her gut wrenching sobs and heart shattering cries from a mile away and it didn't help that he followed her so closely.

"Please, (Name)...I can't live on anymore seeing you cry alone every single time! Call me, tell me, yell at me, hell, you can fucking punch the shit out of me if it even helps! I'm not your husband for show! " His voice rises with worry and pain at every single word while she still plastered on that smile as if it were a habit.

Habit...what if... Levi stopped and thought.

Levi always did notice something odd when she interacted with her father.

It was as if she acted like that automatically.

Then everything came into place.

If she doesn't cry, then he wouldn't too. If she stays strong and proud, then he wouldn't have anything to worry about. She's doing all this for him...and for me?

"You don't have to be strong for him, and especially not me or for yourself. You can rely on me, (Name). "

Then, finally.

After 3 years or so of marriage, her mask cracked and a sob escaped her trembling, frowning lips.

Right in front of her beloved.

The one she tried desperately to keep away from her demons and weaknesses.

"Please, don't stop lo-loving me...he ca-can but not-not you! Anyone...an-anyone but you!" She pleaded to him as more sobs and tears escape right before him.

He rushed to her side and engulfed her shaking figure into a tight and warm, loving hug.

"Tch, only an idiot would dessert you when you're in pain. I might be an asshole, but you know I'll never be that idiot, you brat. I fucking love you, remember?" he lulled to her and stood by her side as she finally cried her heart out in that not-so-lonely park.

"Th-Thank you." She said with a sniffle when she was done.

"No, thank you for finally opening up to me. Now, let's go home. " Levi said as softly as possible with a happy undertone while you smiled up at him.

The most beautiful and genuine smile he has yet to ever see in his life.
