Easily amused (or is pleased a better word?), is how you fundamentally are.

It never really took much extravagant things or extraordinary events to excite your entire soul into a state of surprise, joy, and sometimes, even a twinge of fear.

Dinner dates didn't have to be in a five Michelin-Star restaurant with the head chef from some fancy Asian or French culinary institute. Surprises didn't have to have crowds watching as they awe and envy your significant partner's momentous displays of affections with a thousand cut flowers and undying flattery. Presents didn't have to cost more than you can ever imagine to save up in your account in all your lifetimes to come.

They all astonish your being for a long time to come, but one thing you will ever cherish more than anything in the vast dark space that is known as The Galaxy — is his simplicity.

Simplicity which you have found honed to the perfect definition in a man you'd never dream of meeting even after the world ends because it was as if he was literally carved to be the quintessential being for your very living soul.

Dinner dates were a variety of take-outs in pyjamas in front the the television with Doctor Who season whatever, picnics under the gray-scaled sky, little road-side snacks to fill the tummy all night instead of the traditional singular meals, and with the special occasions of flamboyant places whenever either one of you feel like it. Surprises were more sentimental, intricate, and thoughtful, what with breakfast in bed, small gifts here and there, bundles of flowers in tiny adorable pots, and such. Presents were then only consisted of meaningful gifts, cheap or expensive, didn't matter because it came from his heart.

He knew you were the type who didn't and will never ask for more, but instead, is contented with effort and sentiment put into the things he gave you. It suited him well.

You suited him well, down to the tee in fact. So much that he wondered what he had done in all his lives that a higher being has presented him with the most gorgeous, considerate, and kind soul ever to ever grace his simple earth.

"Why'd he have to regenerate? I've just fell for his charms. " you sighed in a slum as you stared at the credits scene on the television.

"You're crazy if you think his 'eccentric' personality is charming. " Levi scoffed with slight jealousy as his brows furrowed automatically.

"Is that a euphemism you're using? Oh please sweets, he's The Doctor! " giggling like a school girl, you sighed dreamily after as you rest your head on Levi's shoulder. "I'd jump into a lifetime adventure with The Doctor in a heartbeat."

Pursing his lips, he could feel envy rising within him, but at the same time he felt silly too for being jealous of a TV series character. So instead of brooding over it like a child, he took the opportunity.

"Then, (Name)?" He called out to you with a light voice, but deep down, he could feel the nervousness bubbling inside of him.

"Hmm?"

"Would you then, like to jump into a lifetime adventure with The Engineer? I know the life of an engineer isn't exactly as excitable as an alien Time Lord's, but-"

"Yes!"

He cracked a smile as he slipped on the thin silver-band ring with a classic diamond on top onto your finger while you cried hysterically with a humongous smile plastered on.

"In a heartbeat, my love. " you whispered as he passionately kissed your lips for the first time ever as his fiancé.

Levi might be a simple man, but now, he's your simple man.
