Third Person POV
"I need to meet some people." A newly graduated woman confesses to her best friend, Sasha. "Yeah, you do. How about you meet some of my friends then?" The brunette suggests, sitting on the other end of the couch. "I mean... I'm not opposed, but would it be awkward?" (F/n) asks, not feeling the best about this situation. "I don't want you to have to make them feel forced, you know? Like, hey my other friend doesn't have any here, so you have to meet her." The girl explains, sinking into her corner of the couch. "No, it won't be like that at all. I know you just moved here, but meeting them can open new doors! Maybe they'll have friends you'll connect with too!" Sasha smiles optimistically. "Yeah, I guess you're right." (F/n) grins. "How about I throw a welcome party for you and invite my friends and they can bring some too?" Sasha offers. "Before you say no, I'm doing it. I shouldn't have even asked." The girl pulls out her phone to mass text everyone party invites.
Just as silence reaches the room, the mounted television falls off the wall, crashing onto the console below it. "I thought you said you mounted it correctly?" Sasha asks, not at all fazed by it. "I said I "think" I mounted it correctly." (F/n) corrects the banged brunette. "I'll go get us a new t.v." The girl sighs, rising from the couch, grabbing her wallet and keys. "Good luck with that. Please don't break the next one." Sasha chuckles, watching her friend head towards their apartment/flat door. "Yeah, yeah." (F/n) sighs, exiting their place after putting her shoes on.
After taking the elevator to the parking garage and retrieving her vehicle, the girl leaves the building and heads towards the closest electronic store to replace their television. (F/n)'s no mechanic nor home decorator, so the faulty mount wasn't entirely her fault. How Sasha even let her near it in the first place? She still wonders that too.
Eventually, she gets to a store, parking relatively close to the front entrance. It was fairly busy inside, but luckily, she was able to find some help and pick out a replacement t.v. for her's and Sasha's apartment/flat. A boy named Marco helped her get it off the shelf and load it on her platform cart. "Thanks for your help, Marco!" (F/n) smiles up/down/straight at the freckled brunette. "Hey, no problem." He grins with closed eyes. "Someone up front can ring you out, tell them Marco assisted you." He adds. "I sure will! Thanks, again." The (hair color) girl nods, pushing her cart towards the registers. A blonde boy then checks her out, his name tag stating his name to be Armin. "Hello, miss! Did you find everything you were looking for?" He smiles brightly. "I did, actually. Marco helped me out." She smiles back, getting her wallet out. "He's one of our best employees, always helping out." Armin nods, scanning the box with a hand-held scanner. "Do you need help loading this in your car?" Armin then asks, pressing a few buttons on his screen. "If you don't mind?" (F/n) grins, always hating to ask for help. "We don't mind at all! I'll send someone to wait for you at the door." He hands her the receipt after paying. "Thanks for coming in today!" Armin smiles one last time, waving. "Thank you!" (F/n) waves back, heading towards the exit.
She then sees a man wearing a blue polo and black slacks standing by the door, arms crossed as he waits. He has a lanyard around his neck and a name tag so this must be the guy who's helping. "Hello! I'm assuming you'll be assisting me?" (F/n) asks once she is close enough. "That would be me. Are you the cute girl with a nice smile Armin described?" The short raven lifts an eyebrow, taking the cart handles from her to start pushing it outside. "O-Oh, um, I guess so?" (F/n) chuckles lightly, caught off guard. "Figures. I was expecting a girl dressed like a doll to walk over, but this is better I suppose." The guy remarks, making her laugh again. "Um, nope? It's just me, in my not so doll-like attire. Unless you want me to dress like that next time?" (F/n) crosses the street alongside him. "We just met and you're already talking about a next time? Someone is thirsty." The raven feels a small smirk tug at his mouth. "Totally not, I'm just saying." The girl laughs softly.
"Which car?" He then asks, eyes bored, but keeping them straight ahead. "The (favorite color) (brand name), right there." She points to it. The man nods, turning the cart and they walk towards the trunk. (F/n) unlocks the car and opens the back. "Do you need any help lifting that?" She looks down at the large box, then at the man. "No, otherwise my help would be useless." He shakes his head, bending over to pick it up and slide it inside the vehicle. "Oh geez-" (F/n) was surprised by how effortless he did it. "Thank you! Um-..." (F/n) quickly tries to recall glancing at his name tag earlier but she couldn't remember it. "It's Levi." The man answers for her. "Levi! Thank you, Levi." She smiles with a slight sigh. "Sure." He nods, grabbing the cart again to take it back. "Hey!" (F/n) calls out before he's too far. Levi looks over his shoulder before turning around halfway. "I may be back soon for another replacement. I broke the last mount on accident." (F/n) calls herself out with a playful grin. "Well, then you'll have to invite me over so someone can properly hook it up." Levi smirks again, leaning against one of the handles. "Hmm... I don't know, my roommate is pretty picky about her handymen." (F/n) shrugs. "I can do it shirtless." Levi offers, raising his hands up. "I'll take your offer into consideration. Now, get back to work before you're fired for flirting." (F/n) laughs, shooing him off.
Levi returns inside the store with the cart, leaving (f/n) to enter her car and head home now. During the ride, all she could think about was how familiar this man felt. She has never, ever met him, considering she moved here from across the state/country after graduation for a fresh start. She definitely does not know him, yet, it felt like she already did. Their connection and socialization felt so... natural. Not to mention, having strange dreams almost every night about a certain person she couldn't recognize. This person felt like a family member, or a really close friend. Still, she couldn't put her finger on why, though.
*The Weekend*
"Wake up, sleepy! You're going to miss the party!" Sasha shakes her roommate's shoulder. "Come on!" The brunette says louder, pinching (f/n)'s shoulder now. "Ow..." The sleeping girl groans, slowly sitting up from her bed. "You better put yourself together quickly, everyone's coming in thirty minutes." Sasha beams, turning to exit her room. "Hey, Sasha?" (F/n) mumbles, stretching her arms over her head. "Yeah?" The other girl stops in place to face her friend again. "...Never mind, actually." (F/n) waves it off as she gets up from the bed. "You sure? You don't have to be shy if you want to borrow my little black dress." Sasha grins in a teasing way. (F/n) quickly shakes her head, flustered. "No- no, I don't want to borrow it, but thanks. It's not important." She dismisses the previous thought. "Okay then." Sasha skips back out of the room to finish getting food and beverages out.
Just before Sasha woke her up from her nap, she was having another one of those strange dreams. They never seem to make sense but whenever she has them, there's some sort of familiarity with the scenes. They always play out the same way. Open fields with giant trees, the sound of horses galloping, and flying. Then, it's interrupted by an earthquake followed by frightened screams of pain before it all goes dark. That's usually when she wakes up. None of it made sense and she was starting to consider them nightmares since they're so repetitive. Sasha knew about them, but (f/n) never went into full detail about them because she never understood or had any ideas as to why they were occurring. There was no point in burdening her too.
As (f/n) shuffled around her bedroom getting ready to be presentable for the house party, she picks out a/n (outfit of your choice) with matching (shoes of choice), then she did her hair in a/n (hairstyle of choice). (Alternative sentence): Finally, she finished off her outfit with a matching Hijab/Niqab/Burqa/Chador, perfectly complimenting her (color) eyes. (I hope I included them all!)
(If you don't wear makeup/jewelry you can skip this paragraph!): Makeup was easy, something simple but also enough to pull the entire look together. (Color(s) eyeshadow, (color) eyeliner in a short/long wing, filled in her brows, face, then a (color) lipstick/lipgloss. Jewelry was a piece of cake. A layered gold/silver/rose-gold necklace with matching earrings and a ring on her right middle finger, just in case she has to flip someone the bird, it will look classy.
When she's finished making herself look cute/like a bad bitch, she walks out of her bedroom to assist Sasha with the beverages. "Look at you, fancy!" Sasha awes over (f/n)'s look. "Is it too much/little?" The girl asks, suddenly feeling like she was overdressed/underdressed compared to Sasha's black jeans and red corset top. Which was an interesting choice, considering Sasha only eats at parties. "Not at all! I told everyone to come looking their best just for you!" Sasha smiles, pulling out solo cups from a bag to stack on the counter. "Okay, good." (F/n) sighs, opening a case of canned beers.
When guests start to arrive, Sasha is at the front door greeting everyone and introducing them to (f/n). "Hey guys! That's my roommate over there who specifically told me not to mention the fact that she doesn't have any friends here yet." Sasha chuckles, earning a gasp from her roommate. "Sasha, what did I just say?" The girl laughs a little too. "Sorry!" Sasha giggles, moving out of the way for more people. "Is everyone here? No Levi, but that's not surprising." Sasha talks to herself, counting heads. "Okay guys!" She shouts over the Bluetooth speaker to gain their attention. "Everyone, this is (f/n)!" Sasha smiles, showing off her best friend. The group waves and says hi to her, making her feel a little awkward with all the attention. "How about everyone comes up here to introduce themselves, tell us a fun fact, and how we know each other so she can get to know you all better?" Sasha suggests, pulling (f/n) over to sit on the couch.
"Armin, you first!" Sasha smiles, pointing to the other side of the living room. The blonde points to himself then gulps, walking over to stand in front of the t.v. "Hey, I'm Armin. Um... I work at the local tech store and I know Sasha through Connie." The boy smiles innocently, eyes landing on (f/n) again. "Oh, wait... I actually know you!" His smile gets bigger when it clicks. (F/n)'s eyes widen and she nods as well. "You were the cashier!" She laughs, remembering his face now. "What a small world!" Sasha chuckles, getting up to grab a drink. Connie hops up next, bottle in hand. "Hey, I'm Connie, as Armin just mentioned. I like to skateboard and hit up comedy clubs on Fridays. I also knew Sasha from high school and we've been stuck at the hip since then."
Each and every person goes up to talk about themselves so (f/n) can learn a bit about them and make some friends. "Hey, Levi just got here!" Jean calls from the kitchen as he was getting another drink. Everyone raises their cups, cans, or bottles at him, greeting the last friend. "Hey, I thought you weren't coming?" Sasha asks, used to him never showing up to her parties. "Decided to come at the last second." The man mumbles, taking Hange's drink. "Oh- you're welcome." They mumble without a care. (F/n) walks into the living room from the bathroom when she spots him, almost doing a double-take. "Levi, right?" She asks, surprised. "You?" He raises an eyebrow, just as surprised to see her here as well. "You know him too?" Sasha asks, wondering how her roommate already knew Armin, Marco, and now Levi. "Yeah, he loaded the t.v. into my car when I went to get a new one." The girl chuckles, rubbing her arm. Levi nods a little, taking a swig from the bottle he stole. "It truly is a small world." Sasha quietly comments. "Okay, you two chat while I go break the seal!" Sasha hops off the couch to jog to the bathroom.
"So, you're friends with Sasha too?" (F/n) makes small talk to prevent this from becoming anymore awkward. "Kind of. I know her from Hange." Levi shrugs, taking another sip. "Ah." (F/n) nods. "We went to college together, that's how I know her. I moved in here with her after we graduated because I had nothing else to do." (F/n) explains, looking down at her red solo cup. Levi nods a little, keeping quiet. "Do you like to dance?" (F/n) decides to ask out of the blue when she notices that her cup is nearly empty. "Not really, why?" Levi makes a face, wondering if she was drunk. "I thought if we danced hard enough we could make the t.v. fall off the mount then you could put it back on. Shirtless." The girl shrugs, jokingly. "You're a strange person, (f/n)." Levi comments, secretly amused by her, but he hides it behind his bottle as he takes a drink. "Sooo...?" (F/n) drags out, tapping the side of her cup. "You're not going to drop it until I get up and start dancing with you, right?" Levi turns to look at her. "Maybe." She smiles, laughing right after. Levi rolls his eyes, giving Hange their drink back before getting up. "How about I watch you instead?" He crosses his arms. "That works!" (F/n) chuckles, grabbing his hand to pull him away from the couch.
~~
Ever since that poorly executed dance break, (f/n) has been chatting off Levi's ears. Although he may not show it on his face, he was pretty into their conversations for the past three hours. "So, what do you like to do in your free time?" (F/n) asks after taking a sip from her fourth drink. "It's weird but I like studying dreams. You know, meanings behind them, memorizing symbols." He shrugs a bit, leaning back into the couch. "Really?" (F/n) asks, amused. "That's pretty cool! Hey, maybe you could tell me what this one dream I keep having means." She sits up a little. "Shoot." Levi nods at her as a signal to tell him about it. "Well... they're always the exact same, like it's playing the same movie clip every time I have it. I'm riding a horse through this big, green field, then into a forest of tall trees. There's people flying... and then there's an earthquake. After that, I hear people scream and it goes black. I wake up at that point." (F/n) explains, leaning her temple into her knuckles. Levi was listening closely, recalling stuff from his memory. To (f/n), it seems as if he is decoding her strange dream. To Levi, this sounds oddly familiar to him.
"What else do you see in these dreams?" Levi asks, still pondering. "Um... it's kind of hard to see, but... green capes, I think. I don't know why everyone is wearing the same outfit and these green capes." Her voice goes into a mumble as she also tries to figure it out. "Can I tell you something crazy?" (F/n) immediately asks. "Nothing will be crazier than what you just told me." Levi responds, making her smile. "It's just... you seem so familiar. Like, I know I've seen you before somehow... but we've never met." She answers, still stumped. Levi purses his lips, nodding slightly. "You know, I was going to say the same thing, but I thought I was the crazy one. Your dream... I have the same thing too. Green capes, open fields..." He trails off. "Giant walls." "Giant walls?" The both of them say, each of them freezing on the spot. "Did you-" Levi starts to say. "Yeah... Three giant walls." (F/n) whispers back, still in shock.

Decided to redo this chapter since I really rushed it the first time and it didn't make sense where I first left it off so I hope you don't mind!
Hope you enjoyed this chapter!
