Third Person POV

The scouts were out on a mission in Wall Maria. The Titans had broken through once again. All thanks to the Colossal Titan. Dammit Bertholdt. (F/n) is in Captain Levi's squad, and they had the most dangerous job. Playing as bait.

They were hanging from the wall with their 3DMGs, luring the Titans back to the hole they came in from. Once a Titan got close enough, someone stationed on top of the wall would come down to kill it.

(F/n) got "lucky" and was chosen as one of the few cadets who had to hang from the wall. Sasha was (f/n)'s partner, the one to kill it.

Connie and Mikasa's roles were to lead the Titans over to the ones playing as bait.

Eren was the one responsible for plugging the hole with a boulder...again. A few members from the Garrison were protecting him from other Titans while he made his way to the wall.

"Ready Jean?" Armin called out as a Titan was nearing him. Jean swung down on his 3DMG, killing the Titan.

"Wow, nice one, Jean!" Sasha exclaimed from on top of the wall.

"Hey, we should make a game out of this." Jean spoke up, landing back on top of the wall. "Uh..how?" Armin asked.

"Obviously Armin and I will be a team, and Sasha and (f/n) will be another team. Whichever team kills the most Titans, wins!" He exclaimed.

"I don't know..." Armin said to himself. "Come on, it'll be fun!" Sasha cheered.

(F/n) wasn't so sure about this either and had her doubts, just like Armin.

"Alright.." (F/n) sighed.

Time Skip

"And that makes 5, we win!" Sasha beamed. "No fair!" Jean pouted. "Oh, is Jeanny-boy upset because his team lost?" (F/n) asked in a child's voice.

"Shut up." He muttered under his breath, crossing his arms.

After a couple of minutes, three Titans were making their way over to them. Two of them were headed for Armin's side.

"Shit..Sasha, I'll need your help with this one!" Jean called out, already maneuvering down to one of the Titans.

Sasha ran over to where Armin was hanging from and also maneuvered down to kill the other Titan.

(F/n) watched from where she was hanging, not paying attention that the third was heading towards her.

Finally when she snapped out of her daze, she looked behind her and saw the Titan no more than forty feet away.

"Fuck." She quietly cursed to herself. "Sasha, a little help over here would be lovely!" She shouted.

When she didn't get a reply from either Sasha or Jean, she decided she would have to go back up to the top of the wall.

She pulled the triggers to make her cables pull her back up, but nothing happened. She tried again and nothing still happened. (F/n) started to panic a little and kept trying until she realized that her 3DMG was malfunctioning.

"I'm so screwed.." She whispered, looking behind her to see that the Titan was closer than before.

Looking over to her right, she saw that Sasha and Jean were struggling with the Titans that were trying to attack them.

Soon noticing that the Titan was now beneath her, since she was a few feet above it, she had to push off the wall to get away for a few seconds.

As soon as she returned to the wall, one of her anchors somehow let go of the wall. This caused her to lower a few feet, even closer to the Titan.

She took out a blade in case it tried to swing at her.

The Titan finally made the decision to reach up and grab (f/n), yanking on her which made her other anchor let go of the wall.

A scream left (f/n)'s throat and out of nowhere, someone flew by and slashed at the Titan's arm, making it let go of her.

Before she could fall to her death, that same person caught her and swung back around to kill the Titan.

(F/n) looked up at her savior and it was none other than her Captain Levi.

He brought her down to the ground, safely and told her to retract her cables. After doing so, he asked why she didn't do anything.

"M-my 3DMG was malfunctioning and I couldn't get back up to the top of the wall." She answered. He nodded, inspecting her gear before more Titans showed up.

He went behind her and started messing around with it, trying to fix her gear.

Levi soon went back to the front and did the same thing. Glancing over (f/n)'s shoulder, he saw Titans in the distance.

"Shit." He muttered. (F/n) heard him and looked behind her, seeing the Titans.

It's too dangerous to be down here with Titans!

A few minutes went by and he told her to test it out. She backed up and pulled the triggers, but nothing happened, just like before.

Levi rolled his eyes and got down on his knees, quickly working on her gear.

(F/n) felt her cheeks grow hot and hid her face behind her hands, embarrassed by how close he was to her.

Looking over her shoulder again, the Titans were almost to them now.

Levi looked up at her and noticed the blushing mess she was.

"Tch," He clicked his tongue. "Try now."

She tried again but nothing would change.

"Captain, you better hurry up!" She exclaimed, the Titans only a few feet away.

"I'm trying!" He responded, pulling on something. When he let go, it must have hurt (f/n) cause he noticed her flinch and wince at it.

Both of their eyes widened once they saw Titans cornering in on them.

They both heard a click so he made her test it out. She was finally able to shoot her cables up to the top now and get to safety.

Up on top of the wall, now, she sat down and waited for Levi to make it up to the top.

When he didn't make his return within a few minutes, she grew worried.

"C-captain...?" She whispered, slowly crawling towards the edge.

She heard some roars from the Titans and then the ground shook.

The sound of 3DMG cables shooting up filled her ears as she saw Levi back on top of the wall.

Her once scared face turned into one of relief.

Scooting back away from the edge, (f/n) sat there, with her knees up to her chest, and started shaking.

Levi furrowed his eyebrows and walked over to her.

"Hey, what's wrong?" He asked crouching down in front of her.

"..I-I was ter-terrified, sir." She replied, looking down at the ground.

"Why were you terrified?"

"B-because I...was afraid that one of us...wouldn't m-make it....." (F/n) said, quietly.

They both glance over, seeing some yellow smoke flares go off.

The mission is over?

She asked herself.

Their gazes soon returned back to each other, well, (F/n) was trying not to look at the Captain.

"...Thank you for saving me, by the way." She mumbled, not getting a reply from him.

She felt his hand on her knee so she decided to look up at him now.

"You did good." He smirked, leaning in towards her.

"Wha-?"

Levi planted a quick kiss on her cheek before patting her shoulder and getting up to leave.

(F/n)'s eyes were wide with shock. She was so flabbergasted that she put a hand up to where he kissed her.

Soon enough, she snapped out of her daze and looked over her shoulder, seeing him walk away.

(F/n) quickly scrambled up, trying to catch up to him.
