Third Person POV
It all seemed so surreal when it happened. Almost like one minute he's here, then gone the next. It only happened this morning, but it feels like it's been years.
It was just a few months ago when everything seemed perfectly normal. But then (f/n)'s world came crashing down after one simple phone call.
"Mr. Ackerman...you have a brain tumor."
They immediately went to the hospital to consult with a doctor. Weeks after weeks of trying chemotherapy and nothing happened.
It was up to them if they wanted to risk Craniotomy surgery to remove it. But he refused and said that he didn't need it. He would rather suffer until he passed instead of unexpectedly leaving on the table.
(F/n) did whatever she could to convince him to do surgery, but no matter what, he still said no.
Every day it would get worse and worse until he ended up on life support.
This time, it was her choice of what she wanted to do. Either pull the plug, or let him suffer even longer.
(F/n) spent a week deciding on what the right choice was. And she chose to pull the plug on him. It's what he would have wanted.
That night when (f/n) went home, she ran into the bedroom they once shared and took out all of her belongings.
When she was done, she set everything out in the hallway and closed the bedroom door. After she locked it, she never went back inside.
She didn't want to be reminded of that room every night. The room where Levi made love to her and the room he proposed to her in.
That night she slept on floor, right outside the locked door. The only sound that filled the hallway, was her choked sobs.
*Two years later*
Ever since Levi left, (f/n) hasn't been the same. She blocked certain people out of her life, completely.
She would always drink, which led to her getting fired from her job as a (career of your choice).
(F/n) has been unemployed for a little over a month now, and was trying to fix herself. But she just couldn't.
She tried the dating life again, but it didn't work out so well. There was Jean, but he was perverted. Then there was Eren. He would get very aggressive and physical when he was mad.
Maybe it was just a sign that meant she was supposed to be with Levi. Did she make a mistake? Should she have not pulled the plug on him? What would life be like if he was still on life support? Would surgery have saved him?
There were so many questions circling in her head, that it made her fall to her knees in the middle of an aisle, in a grocery store.
"Miss, are you okay?" Someone kneeled down in front of her. (F/n) slowly looked up, nodding her head.
"Y-yeah..I'm fine...just a lot on my mind." She muttered, getting back up on her own.
The stranger nodded, leaving her once again.
God, that was embarrassing!
She continued shopping, trying to be quick so she could just go home already.
(F/n) only went grocery shopping once a month, and wouldn't pick up that much food.
The only things she bought were a loaf of bread, meat and a pack of beer. Thankfully, she's been doing better with her drinking. She used to buy two packs but now it's only one.
(F/n) has also been going to therapy for her alcohol addiction, which sort of helped.
When (f/n) got home, she put away the things she got from the store. Taking out a beer bottle, she popped open the lid and looked at the clock on the stove.
"Too early to drink, but what do I care? Yolo." She muttered, taking a sip.
Setting the bottle down, she opened a cabinet in her kitchen. A small piece of paper fell out, landing on the floor.
Picking it up, she saw that it looked like someone tore it off of a bigger piece of paper.
She turned it over, seeing "(F/n), I" on it before it was cut off.
What the hell?
Furrowing her brows, she set it down on the counter and continued to drink her beer.
*1 Week Later*
It's been a week now, and everyday she would find a piece of torn paper with writing on it.
And today she finally found the last piece.
When she was folding towels, one fell out of the dryer.
Going over to pick it up, she scanned the writing. "Levi." Is what it said.
(F/n) gasped, dropping the paper.
Oh my God...
Running out into the kitchen, she got a jar that held the other pieces inside.
Returning to the laundry room, she placed all the pieces together which formed a note.
"(F/n), I know you're struggling right now and I need you to be strong. I know you're still tied around my death, but please don't hurt yourself. You made the right choice on letting me go, and I thank you for that. I don't hate you at all for pulling the plug.
I heard that you're worried you made the wrong choice and should have kept me here, but nothing would have changed. I still would have been getting worse and worse with the tumor. Nothing could save me at that point besides death.
All I'm asking you to do, is to let go and love yourself. Don't forget I'm watching you from above, brat. I still love you.
Love,
Levi."
(F/n)'s heart broke and tears stung her eyes as she stared at the note in front of her.
"Levi...oh my......God..." She mumbled, wiping her eyes even though there weren't any tears falling yet.
(F/n) got up and grabbed tape for the note. After taping it together, she held it to her chest and went to go sit outside of her bedroom door.
Her (e/c) eyes soon fluttered open, seeing a white ceiling.
Looking over to the side, she saw a blurred out figure.
"(F/n)?" The voice spoke.
Levi?
The figure got closer and her vision cleared.
"(F/n)...you're awake! Oh my God..." He exclaimed.
"What?" She weakly asked.
"You've been in a coma for the past two years." Levi answered, holding her hand with tears in his eyes.
"How?"
"An earthquake...something fell and landed on your head." He bluntly stated.
"But you had a brain tumor..and died..?" (F/n) furrowed her eyebrows.
"What the fuck..?" He chuckled. "That never happened."
"Oh...so it was just a dream?" She whispered.

This one shot took WEEKS to write ugh but sorry it's been a long time without updating this book!
I'm disappointed in this one, tbh. It doesn't seem that sad or gives the "feels".
Oh well.
