I sat with my head in my hands, blocking out the sound of the world around me. The death of my team mates, my friends... My Eren. It's all to much for me. So this is how Mom and Dad felt huh? I asked myself eternally. Thinking of my parents only made it worse. The thought of them going through this on almost a daily base besides when they were allowed to come home and see me.
The sound of 3DMG could be heard around me along with cries and screams. I couldn't hear the voices the were right beside me. Only the screams.

Marco's POV
Jean and I have been going around looking for survivors from previous squads, taking in who we can. I stood on top of a tall building and looked over the town. Mass destruction and chaos was all that could describe the way it looked. While looking, I noticed a very familiar figure not to far. Armin was knelt down by the edge of a roof, and (y/n) was laying in a small ball on the roof top.
"Jean! I see Armin and (y/n), they might be hurt come on!" I yelled as I took off with Jean not far behind me. We reached the roof top. I ran over to (y/n) She had no MG and her legs and hands were cut and bleeding a lot. I knelt down and started to call to her.
"(y/n)?" No answer not even a movement. "(Y/n)?" I called louder this time. Still nothing. "(Y/N)!" I yelled this time shaking her causing her to snap out of her state. Her red eyes locked with mine. She smiled lightly and tried to stand up only to fall over. I caught her. "(y/n) What happened why are you all cut?" She looked at me with sadness before she started to explain.
"We were ambushed. There were to many titans around for our squad to handle. A titan grabbed my wires and wrapped them around my legs in the process causing them to be tangled. To get them off I had to take off my broken gear. They killed Thomas, Amy," She paused, her eyes filling with fresh tears. "and Eren," Her last words shocked me. I hugged her shaking body tightly. After her breathing calmed again, I let her go.
"We need to dress your wounds they look pretty bad," I said setting her down lightly no to hurt her. By this time, every one else had caught up to us. Without hesitation Christa was at my side to help with (Y/n). While Christa finished cleaning (Y/n) up as much as she could, I headed over to talk with Jean.
"How is she?" He asked.
"She's hurt, her gear is busted, and she's shook but I think if we get her back to main base she'll be fine. She just needs proper aid." I said looking to the main base to see it crawling with titans.
"That's easier said than done." Jean said. I strained my brain trying to think of a way to get (Y/n) help. "How bad is she hurt?"
"She can't walk and her cuts are deep." I said looking back at her. She was smiling but it didn't take a genius to tell she was faking it. She lost her squad except Armin. She lost Eren right after their anniversary. She has to be hurting so much. She kept fondling with the ring he gave her. I felt bad for her. But I promise that I'll never leave her. She's like a sister to me. Jean and I made our way over to her.
"Hey (y/n) how are you feeling," Jean asked. She sighed.
"My legs refuse to listen to me and I have no gear..."
"You know what I mean," He said sounding stern yet concerning. It didn't take more that a second for the fake smile to fade from her face and fresh tears to form in her (e/c) eyes. She hung her head. Jean knelt down to her and wrapped his arms around her and whispered into her ear.
"He would want you to be strong and not to cry," Jean said his eyes soft. (y/n) whipped her eyes and stood up shockingly. I stood by her holding onto her.
"Mikasa?" She said. I looked at her. Mikasa had come out of no where. She came over to us looking around. Most likely for Eren. How would he take it?
"(y/n) what happened?" She asked genuinely concerned about how she was. (Y/n) hung her head slightly.
"We were ambushed."
"Where is Eren?" (Y/n) couldn't look her in the eye.
"He didn't make it," She said barley above a whisper. Mikasa's eyes widened but she quickly composed herself. It was easy to tell she wasn't taking it well. It's going to be a long day...
