As you slowly make your way down the wide boardwalk, Levi stops. "Want to get something to eat?" veronica jumps up and says "me! Me!" you sigh contently. You all seemed to get along like a family. "Where should we go?" you say looking around at the wide range of fast food places. The board walk had a mix between a carnival and a restaurant theme. "Ooh how about there?" said veronica, pointing to a place with a large neon pizza on the glowing sign. It was getting dark and the sign seemed to pop more than the others. "Sure" said Levi, following with "as long as we can get sushi tomorrow!"

The pizza tasted great. The melty cheese went perfectly with the tomato sauce sprinkled with oregano. The crust was thick and filled with a different type of cheese. (I took a shower here and lost my train of thought) after you had left, you decided it was time to hit the hay. “Hey [F/N], would your caretakers mind if you spent the night at my place?” you think as he says the word “caretakers”. They were your aunt and uncle. They were often drunk and they didn’t give a rat’s ass about you. “They wouldn’t mind” you say, carefree.

The sound of the truck doors opening awoke you from your light nap. You don’t stir though, wondering where and when you were. As you are about to open your sleepy eyes, a pair of strong, lean arms sweep you off the seat and you feel yourself being carried. Oh yeah, you are at Levi’s house being carried to who knows where. You remember when it is. It’s New Year’s Eve and your Aunt and Uncle are probably already passed out on the couch, drunk. You hear Levi’s hushed voice say “can you get the door?”

You woke up at about 11 pm and saw Levi sitting next to you with his arm around your shoulder. Veronica was sitting on a navy blue bean bag on the floor staring at the T.V. you sat up and stretched. “Sleeping beauty awakens” says Levi, booping you on the nose with his finger, ever so lightly. You blink a few times before saying “what did I miss?”

Levi laughs, and says “not much. The ball in times square will be dropping in a little less than an hour.” “You missed me tripping down the last 3 stairs!” veronica chimed in, lifting her now bruised leg. Just as you were about to lay back down, you hear a rough, calm voice say “want some more snacks?”

You look over to where the sound came from, only to see a tall, dark haired teen with piercing green eyes. “I’m Eren. Nice to meet you” he said, handing you a bag of Doritos. You lay back down and open the bag of chips, focusing on the T.V. The excited screams coming from times square were quiet because the volume was turned way down. You eat a few chips before handing the bag to veronica and going back to sleep. When you awoke not long after, you heard the chant “16, 15, 14…” you immediately sat up and started counting down. You all simultaneously say “3…2…1!” and just as the ball drops, levi swoops in and kisses you on the lips, pressing hard. When he pulls away, he says “I love you” before pulling you into a tight embrace. Looking over his shoulder, you see Eren look at veronica and say “ahh what the hell” before doing to her what Levi did to you. Surprisingly, veronica did nothing to stop him and kissed him back just as hard. “happy New Year’s!” you say, laughing.
