"Shut up"

He says chucking his phone across the room after hearing his 3:30 alarm go off for the third time, he hadn't gotten used to his shift change he was now working nights instead of mornings. Hitting the floor with a thud.

The three fur balls lying on his legs were making it impossible to get out of the m
warmth of his bed.

Doongie made a low purr when he was kicked off the bed sarcastically walking and lying down on his bed next to the heater beside the big bed.

Brushing his teeth and putting on his uniform that read paramedic  on the sleeve below it read "San Francisco Fire and Rescue"
he hurriedly grabbed his bag not forgetting this time to strap his radio around himself. Grabbing his car keys before speeding out the door.

"Hey Mate"

Felix greeted me as he slid into the passenger seat of the ambulance while I'm doing some paperwork.

"hey lix"

I said not glancing up from my tablet set in front of me wanting to finish this

"you ok?"

He asks in his aussie accent

"yeah I just want to get this report done"

"what's it about?'

he asks glancing at the tablet

"remember our shift was just ending and we got that one that domestic violence call about that male in the apartment but when we were gearing up the operator said that the person who was placing the call said false alarm"

Felix looks up trying to remember

"ohhh that one yeah what about it?"

"I can't get it out of my mind but maybe I'm just being stupid"

"nah mate your not over thinking maybe it means something or maybe it means nothing who knows"

Felix says trying to make Minho not over-think it too much

"come on lets get some food"

At the thought of food I perked up putting in the last bit of info into the report I close the door and walk into the busy downtown hospital

"I heard they added a new restaurant"

Felix says, trailing behind me

"Nice. what's it called?"

"Not sure we'll see"

They said, continuing conversation as they walked through the hospital.

"Min hey!"

Changbin one of the doctors said walking up to the pair.

"Hey bin busy it seems"

"Yeah it is. What are you doing here aren't you mornings?"

"I used to be. But boss moved me to nights I don't mind it because I have Felix"

"Aren't you lucky"

Felix says batting his eyes

"Your gonna give me diabetes from the pancakes you make"

"Why?!"

"Too much butter"

I said knowing it would annoy him

"tOo mUcH bUtTaH"

Felix says mocking the older's words

"Stop taking about food and let's go get some"

We both are walking down the small set of restaurants in the lower level of the hospital, it was a nice one but really expensive they only had about 30 minutes before their shift started so they wanted to get some food in their systems.

"there's subway"

Felix says pointing to subway across from them

"I guess I really don't care I'm just hungry"

"hey guys"

A voice said behind them

"hey chan"

Minho said to Chan, he had met him at the café when they found out he works in the same division as him they instantly became friends.
