*Anusha Pov*

"Thank you!" I said, smiling at the person standing before me or at least tried to smile while my eyes kept on moving over each one to see whether he is here yet.

"Your partner is here." The person announced and I twirled around to see him walking near to us.

I know I am staring at him and people around us must be observing it too but I really want to know what happened before. What was so different with both of us that something like that happened?

He smiled at me before answering to the congratulations he is getting from the people and I wish I can remove that smile for making me this confused.

"Hey! Comeon, everyone! We all enjoyed this fest and now just dance away. The floor is looking too empty." Someone commented and that made everyone move towards it some in pairs and some just individuals.

We both just stood away while talking to whoever that reached us to have a word with us. After sometime, we were called on the stage and were rewarded. This time I forgot everything and enjoyed our victory.

"Congratulations, Sha!" with his whisper I turned a little and gave a nod before repeating the words.

"Just enjoy the party and forget about everything else." He added and I stared at him with wide eyes.

"You know what I am..." I stopped my words to which he gave a nod and I just shook my head before walking away.

"May I have this dance?" some guy asked and I just nodded before walking to the stage.

"So, any plans of moving to another company?" he asked after a few seconds and I just gave him a stare before stopping the dance.

"I am not feeling that well." Saying that I walked off and it became an excuse for the next half an hour with everyone asking me the same question.

"Come on! Have a dance where you will not be asked about business." Suddenly the manager said and walked me near to Satvik instead of the stage.

"Maybe I will also try to get you on my team." He added shrugging and suggested both Satvik and I to dance.

I glanced up to see Satvik waiting for my decision to which I just gave a nod and we both walked near to the stage.

"So, decided on which company to join?" he asked placing his arm around my waist and pulled me towards him.

"Yeah! I am stuck between three companies." I replied placing my hand on his shoulder.

"Really?" he asked pulling me more to him and I can feel him smiling over my forehead.

We moved along the music and after a few minutes he calmly asked, "How about dinner with me?"

I didn't reply hearing the same question like from the past few days but finally nodded my reply after which he stilled.

"You are saying yes?" he asked in a shocked tone.

"Yeah!" I replied to which he gave a small laugh.

"I can't believe this. You are actually saying yes for dinner with me." He mumbled in an amazed tone to which I rolled my eyes.

"Where are we going for dinner?" I asked not wishing to question myself like him why did I accept his invitation.

"Actually... I didn't expect you to accept so I didn't book in any restaurent. And it will be difficult to get any spot now." He replied.

"So? Cancel?" I asked glancing up and he shook his head silently.

"If you are fine, we can have dinner at my room... or your room." He added the last part looking at my expression.

"My room!" I mumbled and he immediately nodded but said he will order for us to which I accepted not having any strength to think on what to eat after so much to think about.

I paced in my waiting for this dinner but then realized what I am doing. Why did I accept for this dinner invitation? God! Why am I acting like this?

I shook my head and reached my phone to call him and cancel this plan but somehow the knock reached me before I can reach my phone.

It's just a dinner and we had dinner so many times in the past. I took a deep breath and walked near to the door before opening it.

"I already switched off my mobile if you had a thought of cancelling it and I am hoping you didn't actually called me by now." Saying that he walked into my room pushing a dish trolley.

"No! I didn't call you." I mumbled frowning at the dishes and why is he bringing it.

"I ordered it to my room and thought of bringing it here myself." He explained and started arranging them on the table one after the other carefully.

"How can I be of service, madam?" he asked and I struggled to stop my smile before taking my place on the couch.

"How about some dance performance?" I asked, knowing well he is the worst at that.

"Sure! I will switch on the television." Saying that he sat beside me before switching on the television.

"All are your favorites so you need to eat everything." He added and started serving both of us.

After we finished the whole dinner in silence which was completely opposite of how we did before always talking to each other, I glanced at him.

We didn't talk but we glanced at each other from time to time for sure. I opened my mouth, but didn't know what to say so I just shut my mouth up.

He just moved away to keep the dishes back on the trolley before taking it out of the room while I stayed at my place. Well, that went fine. For this I was so worried?

"So, you enjoyed it?" his voice startled me and I stared at him in surprise.

"Sorry! I thought... I thought you left." I mumbled and he nodded in understanding.

"Okay! I will leave, but I really enjoyed today's dinner even thought we couldn't share any words." He mumbled and I gave a small nod before standing up.

I followed him to the door, but before he can open the door, I blurted out asking, "What happened today evening?"

"What?" he asked, turning around.

"What happened today between us? That... that was completely different and I don't know why... I just... do you know?" I asked staring at him.

"That?" he asked, moving near to me and I nodded.

"I think... I think I have an idea about that." He mumbled moving his hand to trail his fingers over my cheek.

"Yeah?" I asked, leaning towards his hand that is cupping my cheek.

"That was my desperation and your anger and our frustration." Saying that he pulled me over to him completely before pressing his lips to mine and I kissed him back.

It was same like the evening one. And just like that I got pulled into it making me lose my thinking sense and everything, even though I was trying to back out.

"I missed you, Sha!" he whispered tugging me more towards him and I let him lost in the sensations that were surrounding my mind.

"It felt like I can breathe again when I saw you that day." He added while I let my fingers run through his hair wishing he can just stop talking.

"I need you, Sha!" he stated and with that word uttered he started pulling the zipper of my gown and I stilled to which he paused.

I didn't stare at his eyes and just kept my eyes only on his jaw which is shaking a little. I slowly moved my fingers from his hair to trail over his jaw which made it tremble.

Seeing that I stood on my toes to lean over him and replaced my fingers with my lips and that snapped us out from whatever pause that was created.

I removed his coat which he shrugged off and within a few moments we are reaching the bed in my room and again I just paused when we settled on the bed.

"Just say the word and I will leave, Sha." He whispered trailing his lips over my neck and I know my thinking ability is already lost.

Somewhere at the corner of my mind, I know we shouldn't be doing this but... but these sensations which are so new just kept on pulling me away from that thought.

And just like that with my mind which is definitely not working brought a decision and I passed it to him by tugging him for a kiss instead of pushing him away after which he didn't give me any chance to pause us at all.

*Satvik Pov*

I am feeling like I am just some richest person holding her like this in my arms finally. And the surprising thing is it was not the same feeling when I fell in love with her or when we got married.

I smiled and pulled her more into my arms hugging her tightly while she already drifted off into sleep a few hours back.

I traced her midriff with my fingers and leaned down a little before pesturing kisses along her neck and reached behind her to which she groaned.

"Wake up, Sha! I am not done with you." Saying that I turned her head a little before dropping a kiss on her lips.

However, when I ended it, she suddenly moved away, making me remove my hand while she pulled the blanket over her properly.

"I think you need to leave." Hearing those words made me sit up immediately.

"Sha! What happened?" I asked, moving closer to her, but she just moved back even more reaching the edge of the bed.

"It's Anusha and I am asking you to leave." She replied looking at the door.

"You said you will leave and I just have to say the word. I am saying it now." She added to which I shook my head.

"Did I say something wrong again? Just... just tell me and ask me to do this. We are finally together again and I can't stay away from you." I said, reaching for her hand and held it.

"We are not together again, Satvik." She said, pulling her hand away.

"Then what is all this?" I asked, gesturing, both of us and she finally looked at me with an expressionless face.

"This must me anger or frustration or whatever it is but it is not us getting together." She replied staring straight at me.

"Sh... Anusha! I am not good at words and I can't express myself how much I hate the thought of even hurting you but I ended up doing just that. I can give excuses and still it will not reduce your hurt. Now, all I know is I need you and I will take care of you. I will... I will make sure that I will not do anything to hurt you. I may make some mistakes, but I know I will be in the right mind to reduce the effect of that mistake and not increase it." I just spoke whatever that came to my head.

"Let's go to our home and start our life again, Anusha. I know my mistakes and I will pay for them. I am already paying with this distance we have between us." I added to which she suddenly laughed.

"Do you... do you really think I want to come to that place again?" she asked controlling her laugh.

"The place where I am some kind of culprit. The place where no matter what I do will always be questioned. The place where I am not even part of the family." She asked, getting down from the bed and took some shirt from the chair before wearing it.

"I hate that place, Satvik. I felt... I felt like I am in some hostel or something worse when I was there. And you want me to return there." She said shaking her head.

"Why didn't you tell me this before?" I asked, coming out of my shock.

"When? Without saying or doing anything, you have already accused me of doing something bad for your family like hurting your Mom and something else. Then how can I say these words?" she asked back.

"I pushed everything down, Satvik. I let go of their behavior and your accusations and everything. But... but when you actually accused me of being the reason for something bad that happened to your Mom while I was struggling to stand so that you will not get too worried looking at my gun shot, I lost it. I lost it completely, Satvik." She said, placing her hand on the forehead controlling herself.

"You may say the family is fine with me. Why? Because I saved your Mom? They should have told me before itself that for their acceptance all I need to do is take a bullet and maybe I would have done that before itself, Satvik. I was that crazy for you and I know I shouldn't be. I was ready to point to my parents if what they are doing is making me uncomfortable but with the worry of our relationship I was never able to. How can I go back to all this?" she asked, opening her eyes to stare at me.

"Anusha! Just... I didn't know and I was wrong, which I totally accept. I just threw everything at you. But now... now I will kill myself before doing something like that." I assured her but she shook her head.

"I am not even going to take any chance. I don't know why today happened, but I know tomorrow I don't want this to happen again between us. I accept I have half responsibility in this and let's just keep it like that. Let's just forget all this and be normal until I finish my time at the company." She said walking towards the washroom.

"Anusha! Just give it some time and think about this." I pleaded to which she turned around to look at me.

"Any change will be only for a small time, Satvik. Look at my parents, they accepted me, but actually made Bhai break up with Kirthi. I need to help Bhai and I want my parents to accept Kirthi wholeheartedly and not because of pressure from Bhai. I want them to have peace with their lives and..." she stopped her words taking a deep breath.

"I have so many things to do and I do not want to involve myself with you again not now and not in the future." She added before walking into the washroom while I got ready calmly with her words ringing in my ears.

"Is this what you want?" I asked when she stepped out of the washroom in her robe.

"I know what I don't want. I passed too much time in impressing your parents and you boosted me also. Now, I don't want to do it ever again. Why should I return after bearing all this? Why should I be the one to bear this in the first place? I don't want all that again, Satvik." She replied after which I just stared at her for a few minutes before finally walked out of her room.

I sat on my bed and closed my eyes thinking about everything she uttered more closely. When it was time to pack and leave, I finished my packing and walked out of the room to see her already reaching the elevator.

I calmly followed her not saying a single word even after we reached my car. She slept by herself without making me say anything and the journey back to our city was in silence.

"Thanks for this!" saying that she removed her seat belt to get down when we reached the company building.

"I will make everything right, but I will not pressure you again for anything." I said to which she turned to look at me.

"You hasn't pressured me for... for that. I was totally aware of what I was doing." she mumbled.

"Not that, Sh... Anusha! I am talking about asking you to return back to me. I will not pressure you or bring the topic unless you want to be with me. But still I will make or at least will try to make everything right." I explained and she just stared at me for a few seconds before getting down from the car and walked away while I just stared at her until she disappeared from my sight.

i know very late update but i am busy with this final sem and the things are too many that needs to be done... i just hope i can give next update soon...
