*Ansh Pov*

"We will reach the hospital soon." The nurse assured me, but I stared at my lifeless sister lying on the stretcher.

But then she started moving her hand, making me grip it tightly and she finally opened her eyes before staring at me.

"Bhai! I... I don't want to see him again." She whispered and gasped in pain when the first aid is still being given to her.

"Yes! Just hold on to it, Anu." I mumbled nodding at her.

"He... he asked me to leave, Bhai. After all these months..." she trailed off closing her eyes.

"I need one more help, Bhai." She whispered opening her eyes.

"What is it?" I asked brushing my tears away.

"I don't want any relationship with him anymore. I know him! And I know... he... he will come and apologize... and I may forgive him. But... but I don't want to. Please get the... the divorce papers we signed continue." She pleaded.

"Anu! Please think about yourself and leave all that. I will take care of everything." I promised her and she slowly nodded, but then drifted off making me panic.

"We reached, Sir." The same nurse assured me but I ignored everything except the pain, anger and guilt. All three are passing through in such a fast pace that I know I will do anything to make sure she is safe even to make sure her wishes are fulfilled.

I talked to the person who caught Laksh and asked him for the last help after she was taken into operation theater and he assured me that no one will know about her whereabouts unless I wish to.

So, he even talked to the hospital, but I made another call to Laksh lawyers and talked to them showing as much influence as I can for which I again took the official help. There was not much more to do so it happened easily. Now, her both wishes are fulfilled. With that thought I slumped in the chair holding my face trying to control the feel of crying out loud.

*Satvik Pov*

I knelt there for a second before turning around and to stand up but fell back. I still tried again and again, but couldn't stand back.

Finally I was able to stand up when someone held my shoulders and gave me support. I heard them saying my name but I pushed the hands away before running from that place.

"Mr. Satvik! He has been caught by higher officials." Someone else informed but I ignored everything and reached my car.

Unlocking the door using the key button, I got into it but my hands shivered when I placed the key near the key hole.

"Please!" I whispered to myself for some strength and gripped the key tightly before pressing it inside.

"Sha!" I whispered, closing my eyes and opened them before starting the car and drove off.

I couldn't hear the ambulance siren but I know a few hospitals near so I drove towards them ignoring everything around me.

I heard my phone ringing and threw it away before reaching the first hospital. I rushed inside and asked about any patient that got the bullet wound.

"No, Sir! There is no such patient." They informed making me turn around and I again got into the car before driving more and reached the next one.

"Where... where did they take her?" I asked myself when I reached ten kilometres from home and covered all the hospitals.

"Sha! Please be fine, Sha. I can't... can't bear it if something happens to you. You can hit me and be mad at me but please be fine." I shouted still standing outside the hospital.

"God! What nonsense, have I spoken to her? God! Please keep her safe." I whispered, covering my face with my whole body shivering with terror.

"Stavik!" I heard a voice and glanced up to see Jatin Bhai.

"You just left like that in this condition? What if you too get into some danger? We had to take police help to trace you." He scolded reaching near me.

"Bhai! I don't know where Anusha is. I searched all the hospitals. Please ask the police to trace her too." I pleaded with him.

"We already did! But his higher officials got an order to not involve in this anymore." He mumbled making me close my eyes.

"I didn't searched on the opposite side." I mumbled and moved to reach my car but he stopped me.

"I will drive. I don't want another person to have any injury." Saying that he took my keys and made me sit in the passenger seat.

After a few minutes he calmly asked, "Did you really wanted her to leave the house?"

"No!" I replied instantly and turned to look at him.

"I... I asked her to leave from there when dad started doubting her. I know she would be hurt if anyone thinks that she is with Laksh. But... in my stupidity I said so many things." I mumbled shaking my head.

"Why did you?" he asked and I gave him a dry chuckle.

"There was no control on the things I was feeling these past few months from the time Laksh pressured us at work. All I can say that I felt her closer to me than anyone and I lashed out my guilt at her." I replied and he didn't say anything making me lost in my thoughts.

"I hope... I hope she is fine." I whispered to myself when we reached another hospital before walking inside.

"We will go to the next one." He suggested when I returned with the same answer from the reception.

Until the next day morning we travelled the whole city before stopping at a spot and stayed there for sometime not knowing what to do.

"Bhai! She must be fine, right?" I asked, turning towards him and he nodded assuring me.

"What if he took her to their parent's home?" I asked and immediately requested him to drive there after giving the address.

When we reached there, I looked at the house to see no moment from the house. Bhai reached the watchman and asked about his work calmly and then finally asked about the family he is working here.

"Now, only Sir and Madam live here." Watchman calmly replied and I closed my eyes realizing even this chance is lost.

"Satvik! Let's go home and I will make some inquiries." Bhai suggested.

"I don't know what to even do, Bhai. Where should I go and ask? I know I was stupid and was a bastard and I deserve the punishment, but... but at least to know that she is safe is all I wish for." I mumbled and he calmly drove us to the house.

I got out of the car and calmly walked inside before climbing the stairs ignoring everyone's words. I opened the door to our room and walked in with an impossible wish to see her there.

However, I just closed the door looking at the empty room and walked near to the bed before sitting on her side of the bed.

"Sha! Please forgive me and tell me where are you." I whispered leaning back.

"Sha!" I whispered and let the tiredness overtake me making me sleep in the next second.

"Satvik! At least have some food. If you stay like this, what will you achieve?" Mom's voice reached my ears but I just shook my head.

"Did you guys get any information?" I asked lifting Jay's call.

"No! We didn't let anyone know what is happening, but tried to find and... and even searched some mortuary's." I tightened the grip on my phone hearing those words.

"But we didn't find anything. It's like she disappeared from this city." He added.

"I am thinking to go to other cities." I stated and he paused along with a sound that reached my ears from the place where Mom was standing.

"Okay! But how many cities and which city will you search, Satvik?" he asked and I turned to see Mom with the same question in her eyes.

"Anywhere! Doing this to find her is not a big thing." I replied and he sighed.

"You already hired a private investigator, right?" he pointed out.

"Yes! But it's been two weeks, Jay. I can't stay back waiting for someone else to do something." I said and he finally hung up saying he will call me if he can find something.

I stared at Mom waiting for her to say anything about the decision I am going to take but she just sighed and walked near me with the plate.

"Have the food and go. No one will be there in other cities to take care of you. So, do it for yourself otherwise you will not be able to do anything for her." Saying that she placed it on my hand and walked off.

I did as she asked before starting my packing for the flight the next day. After that I walked to her cupboard and took her pictures from our album and turned back only to see Bhai standing in the room.

"Mom said you are leaving to search in other cities." He stated and I nodded, walking near to the bag to place the pictures in the bag.

"I wanted to give a news..." he started and I cut him off asking, "You found her?"

"No!" he replied and I shook my head, feeling the evergreen disappointment like from the past few days.

"But I found the information that her brother Ansh is working in this city only and didn't return back to New York." He added.

"So, he is still here?" I asked and he nodded.

"I should go and meet him." I mumbled, feeling this sense of reaching a step near to her.

"Yeah! But you need to sleep today at least and go otherwise he may get scared." He mumbled shaking his head.

"I sleep everyday." I mumbled, but he shook his head.

"Why are you helping me this much? You ignored her presence completely when she was here." I asked looking at him.

"Because she saved our Mom and because Manvi likes her. And we are wrong in this situation." He replied, making me stare at him.

"Okay! I am going downstairs." Saying that he walked off while I stood there shaking my head at his words.

I walked near my bag and took out her pictures before sitting on the bed. I smiled at her and held them tightly.

"Finally, there is a positive sign, Sha. And soon we will be together. Of course after you gave me my punishment." I mumbled still smiling at her picture and waited for the day to finish and the next day to start so that I can find her by meeting her brother.
