Dear Olivia,
I have a friend, two actually.
Emma and Luke.
I joined the math team here at school, and we got split into groups. They were put in the group with me, and I was expecting them to hate me or something, you know?
But they didn't.
We started talking, and we have lots in common. I don't want to replace you. I never could.
But they're super nice.
I told Emma about you. She seems to get me, understand at least a little of how I feel. She's great. Sometimes I feel like I'm talking to you when I have talks with her, she's just so much like you in that she knows exactly what to say.
I'm still missing you like crazy, but I don't dwell on what happened anymore.
I hope you don't mind.
I'm moving on, because I finally see that's what you would want me to do.
Olivia Cheyenne, I will never forget you, but I know both of us are in a better place than we were when it happened. If I had stopped you then, you probably would have tried again. You would have pulled that sometime when I was busy, then when I called it would have been that same instance of you not answering your phone.
I can hate myself, I can regret things, but I know deep down that if you were that desperate nothing I said could have stopped you.
I'm never going to forget you, but I won't blame myself anymore.
