Eve cries and is hurt in Chapter three ONLY because she is being tortured by people she knows and the woman she called her almost sister.If she was tortured by..Tartarus, for example, she wouldn't cry.She would feel pain, but she wouldn't say it out loud.
I am saying this just to clarify.Some people might be like "WHAT?!Percy Jackson is her cousin!She cant be feeling pain like that!"
So, i just wanted to explain.Eve feels sad because she getting hurt from her basically family until she 'quit'.
