Welcome to the most treasured anthology I have on this account: Letters to my Anamchara. It is a collection of poetic essays, poems, letters, and more, all addressed to a single person who I refer to as Anamchara. 

Anamchara is a beautiful Irish word that means soul friend or soulmate. Every soul on Earth has another half, a person who you share a profound, almost mystical connection that transcends the physical and emotional bonds of life. In other words, a kindred spirit who possesses a meaningful pedestal in your life. 

This concept is more commonly known as soulmate or soul connection in which two souls are entwined such that their thoughts, desires, passions, and purpose align together. Lucky are the people who find and connect with their soulmates in the brief time they get to spend on Earth. But millions of people pass away without finding their soulmates.

Sometimes, I think maybe I am one of those people who wouldn't find their soulmate. Maybe all these words I have written will never reach him. So instead of burying away these letters, poems, and essays that I have written for my Anamchara, I decided to post them here in this book.

Who knows, perhaps he might stumble upon it one day and read these fragments of my soul.

And even if hoping for such a possibility is futile, I still wish to share these excerpts with the world, whether or not they reach my soulmate.

So dear reader who has stumbled upon this book or chose it intentionally, I hope these words touch your heart and soul.
