Elaine West*
I stretched my arms and yawned a little before shrinking back into the depths of my soft bed. My head felt heavy, a lot heavier than usual still the feeling of the sun rays hitting my face was very pleasant. I loved the sun. It was an indication of new beginnings every day.
But that spell didn't last for long when I remembered last night's incident. Peter...Jay, oh no, no, no and what happened after that. I don't even remember. I quickly sat up throwing my quilt to side and grabbing my heavy head between my hands.
How did I can here in the first place? Did Peter—
"EL!" Mom's voice made my headache more and I shouted back, "I am coming," I got off the bed and rushed towards my vanity to find my phone switched off there. Great just great, exactly what I needed. I quickly turned around to see the wall clock. And the number that I read was enough to make my mind go into a state of turmoil.
It's already seven-thirty and I have school in half an hour. And right now, I haven't taken a bath, was still in my last night's party dress and my window was open.
I rushed to the bathroom to get ready and shoved up books in my bag afterwards.
"Peter?" I said as I descended downstairs and found him sitting on one of the couch with his hands folded and an angry look on his face.
"Oh so now you remember me, what about yesterday aft—" I quickly rushed to his side and clamped my hand over his mouth to shut him up.
"Don't you dare lick my hand and also, don't shout mom is listening, " One thing that my mom loved was to listen to everything me and my friends talk about whenever she was free. And I being the victim hated it.
"Would like some more pancakes, sweety?" Mom asked and before I could reply Peter beat me to it, "No, Mrs West, two plates of your blueberry pancakes are sufficed for me to stand up the whole day without eating," Mom smiled back and I scoffed as if he could resist eating.
"Blueberry pancakes, where?" I asked my eyes roaming around the table in search of them.
"The blueberry ones got over so I made these banana ones for you," Mom moved forward to put the plate in front of me but I stopped her before she could do it, "Mom," I whined, " I hate bananas," She rolled her eyes at me and started putting the pancakes into my plate, "You should eat every fruit and besides this is mixed in pancakes just like the way you eat olives in pizza but hate it without, you can eat banana pancakes, right?"
"Mom but that's pizza and this is—"
"No, buts now eat it and get out, you are already late," My head started aching even more and I hated that the aspirin that I took while getting ready wasn't working fine.
"Let's leave, El, we are late," Peter said and gave me an eye which said we need to talk now or my head is gonna now off. I smiled back at him and nodded before calling out to my mom that we were leaving.
We rushed to the car since only five minutes were left. I was also really excited to know what happened with Jay.
"Why didn't you call me last night? Why the hell were you not picking up my calls? I was so worried. And how did you come home? Did you walk in the night, alone? I knew it I shouldn't have had left you alone but damn, you are convincing but you—"
I clamped my hand again on his mouth for the second time in the morning.
"Oh God, Peter, enough. You should start doing vlogs with those speed commentary thing." I deplored. But the thing that grabbed my thoughts was how did I come back home?
"I...I don't remember how I came back home, but that's not important, tell me, how did everything go with Jay?" I asked a little unsure of whether me magically coming home was unimportant or not. That's when I saw him take a sharp right turn and a red rouge colour appear on his cheeks.
"Oh my God, Is my Peter blushing? Aww," I pinched his cheeks and snickered while he tried to do everything but make eye contact with me. Soon we turned into the parking lot and I got off the car.
And the first face that I was greeted by was of a smiling Henry. I groaned mentally and tried walking past him but he yanked my arm and made me stand in front of him. "What do you want now?" I hissed and he in turn just laughed and pinched the bridge of my nose. My eyes widened and I staggered behind a bit.
"Hey, dude, listen get away from her, okay?" I felt an arm snake through my waist and my beating heart started becoming constant. Peter to my rescue, I sighed.
Henry made a puzzled face before displaying annoyance. "Why?" He growled. And I bemused watched him stare at Peter.
"See I know what you did yesterday in school and I don't appreciate what you did, so it's better we maintain some distance, okay bro?" A knot started forming in my stomach when I realised this could sever their relations. Even though Henry mostly talked to George and Mae, he has had reduced this year for the obvious reasons and has started talking to Peter and Rick.
"It's alright, Peter, let me sort this out you go ahead," I said facing him while his arm still rested across my waist. He stared into my eyes and I saw a mischievous glint in them. And before I could perceive what it was about he leaned forward and kissed my forehead before nodding and going away.
At first, I didn't understand his gesture but then I turned to see a furious or perhaps a very red Henry. Maybe he got jealous. No, no, it can't be he was just angry because we didn't give him the importance he thought he deserved.
"What do you want Henry? Don't worry I don't like you anymore, I am trying to move on," I said rolling my eyes. His expression quickly turned from mad to being amused. He moved forward causing me to stagger backwards.
He leaned forward and his cheek rubbed across mine as he slid forward to whisper something in my ear, "That's not what you said when I was dropping you home yesterday," My eyes widened as I felt the warmth of his lips near my ears and I tried to comprehend his words.
"I-what?" I asked again. Did he drop me home?
"That's very bad you should be thanking me that I dropped you home and stopped you from stripping at the party instead here you are being so rude after confessing intimate things to me," I shifted back and replied, "Strip-stripping? Stop lying to me, I -I remember what happened yesterday, I...I didn't tell you anything and certainly didn't try stripping."
He laughed a carefree laugh. I had never seen him laugh so much since the last time when we were at that football match. My cheeks warmed up realising that I didn't remember anything after Peter and Jay left the party.
"So, you remember getting all giggly? And being in Max Sanford's arm playing strip pong?" I choked on my spit and my eyes widened to the level where they could have fallen of my sockets. I heard the bell ring and glanced at the building, "You, you are lying, I will talk to you about this later, " I shouted as I started running towards the building with my heart pacing at the rate of an electric motor.
Did I play strip pong?

"Hey, babe, " I heard someone say and I continued to shove the books in my hand inside the locker. It had been a stressful day till how and I was looking forward to a good lunch break.
"Oh, it hurts to get ignored," I whirled around to find Max Sanford smirking at me.
"What do you want, Max?" What's with me and this line? Secondly, why is he talking to me?
"You hurt me right here, see," He pointed at the left side of his chest and I rolled my eyes. He then proceeded to grip my wrist and pull me forward, "Don't roll your eyes at me," His amber eyes stared at my blue ones. I stomped on his foot causing him to loosen his grip on my wrist.
"And why do you think I would listen to someone like you?" I spurted out. We ran in different circles and I didn't talk to him and he didn't talk to me in the past.
" 'Cause, You were listening to me yesterday without being violent," My eyes widened and a certain someone's words resonated through my brain, 'So, you remember getting all giggly? And being in Max Sanford's arm playing strip pong?'
"Oh, so you are remembering things, huh?" I clenched my jaw and moved closer to him as I saw people forming a crowd around us. Of course, they were here, it's Max Sanford talking to a 'peasant' girl.
"Listen, Max, I was drunk so don't you dare think even for one second that I give a fuck about people like you," How did I manage to get so drunk that I was beside him playing the game that shall not be mentioned? I hated Max Sanford since he made Sally tripped in the hallway once in the Sophmore year. The hatred only grew when I saw him bullying more people so never in my entire life of being same I would go to him for anything. Being drunk was an exception that I didn't want to repeat.
People around us started whispering while some secretly snickered behind their hands. Max, on the other hand, clenched his fist and closed his eyes for a bit before opening them to look at me with an amused look.
"Beware, West, you did a wrong thing," He winked at me and vanished into the sea of students leaving me stunned and a bit scared of what's to come.
I believe since these chapters were written when I was younger they are extremely kiddish and cliche but I won't want to change them cause they are the original drafts with a little bit of editing.
I hope you guys don't mind!
