Aurora was finally here, on platform 9 3/4 and just desperately wanting to get this bloody commute over with, but the pumping of her heartbeat was driving herself insane. The overreaction in fear of meeting Lily was definetly ruining her.

"Take a breather Wells, you'll be alright." She scoffs and looks up to him, or as far as her hood would allow. "Yes, when was the last time you were in school Seb?" She counters, only making the semi-old wizard straighten his posture.

"All those quick jabs and look who still gets to go on the train, shall I wave goodbye?" She shakes her head, continuing to scout about, sharing the task of making sure nothing is entirely abnormal in the situation. She does indeed give him a bit of a hug, something that pained her but also rallied her heart to dwell for a moment.

"It'll be alright, watch...Two weeks you'll forget about—Right perhaps not entirely forget about everyone but—"

"Oh sod off Seb, just do your job and stay safe. Promise?" He nods and with that she heads off, her luggage and owl already managed to find it's place aboard to express and now it was just a matter of claiming a seat.

An action that wasn't all too difficult, instead she planted herself in the corner seat, facing the way the train would be moving forward as from previous experience it would likely end up fowl anyhow.

She took a small sip from her canteen and shook her head. What's the worse that could happen?

And almost as if the world wanted a solid laugh, the train jolted forward as she had missed the given sound of a whistle due to her music plugs jammed into her ear. "What a wonderful start." She muttered, looking out the window to get the last glimpse of her friend before managing to settle back down.

She was reading 'History of Hogwarts' just to get a glimpse of the school before actually going full time and diving in with classmates who've spent four years managing the grounds and hallways.

However, the squeal managed to bypass the enchanted headphones as Aurora was pulled into a grip tight hug. Although one sound managed to come through, the grey-haired girl needed to take out the two plugs to hear the rest of a greeting ramble.

"Merlin breath darling, we have until graduation." The girl joked, and Lily just hugged her tighter.

"It's so good to finally meet you Aurora, you're bloody gorgeous!" It was difficult to match a face to a personality, but when Aurora looked to see the tall male counterpart with long hair. She smiled. "Severus, it's good to meet you." His thin smirk rallied up as well, managing a hand between the girls.

It was his silent stab to Lily that she needed to calm down quite a bit, perhaps childhood friend couldn't see that she was a bit nervous. But the second that formalities were out of the way, it began to be a very in-depth explanation of how and what will happen.

Aurora would be given her sorting ceremony after all the first years have done, and in private with the headmaster. And it was barely ten minutes into the ride when Lily had to go to a prefect meeting, giving her ample amount of time to ask about the Alchemy class as well as Professor Slughorn in a bit of a...Scientific level.

Severus had to admit, the letters and corrections didn't give the girl much justice as she was immensely bright. He had a bit of selfishness that he wanted her to be Slytherin as well, and it wouldn't be bad to have a pureblood friend with such a stead set behind her.

They could be much more friendly with one another in-house than out, but his bet was definitely for Ravenclaw. Her range of creativity was obvious, and the effort to explain certain personal experiments was just a glimpse of her academic prowess.

On the other side of the compartment, as they were passing along, Sirius and James were attempting to cause a bit of trouble before managing to get reprimanded by either Remus or Lily.

Only Lily was more than horrific.

Perhaps it was the outfit, the glasses, the hair...Or whichever quirks that made her unrecognizable to James and Sirius, but the Black half of the duo was distracted by a lady friend.

"Oi, it seems Snivilius is making some more snake friends aye?" James spoke, and Aurora Immediately understood who this prick was.

"It's alright Potter, Lily isn't here...You can run along now." She dabbled and it made Severus rally another smirk as well. She defiantly held her own like a Slytherin but—How would that entail later, but for now, it was a bit hilarious of an intake.

The glare found another set of glasses, but something about her screamed for him to leave it be. An unfamiliar face was odd, especially for him. Was she a year under or above?

Where was she from? Who was she?

He soon left, and as Severus and her diverse what sort of bloody brats the lot of the Mauraders were, it didn't make her feel any better when she heard the word: 'He found himself a bloody freak then?' As she glared towards the door.

"Don't mind them, they're beneath you...And I do suppose now is a good time to thank you for the simple counter curse for their antics." She shrugged and came to until Lily came back. It was difficult for ether set to leave for a moment, and it was sort of life wanting to slam the breaks when Aurora went off to get changed into her sorting robes.

It was just normal uncolored grey that allowed for whatever sort of color to be added with a few whisks, a patch and a tie. Aurora found herself coming out of the bathroom and walking off into the distance.

"Oi, there's the freak that Snivilus befriended." Sirius boasted, turning to Remus in clarification. He trailed his view to the back of the girl's head, the grey hair was questionable but he merely shrugged.

"Never cursed a gal before, perhaps it'll be a new year for you pads." He spoke, shrugging the ideal off before continuing. Sirius told himself that he'd give it another week of pouting before he'd set up a shag for Remus to just get over this mystery girl.

She gave him a nickname, no last name, no identification at all. Nothing in the sort, and to be honest...What would happen if he did find her? A muggle had their own life, not that it was unheard of magical people to fall in love with muggles. Remus' mum is a muggle, no witch in her. But it wasn't right and he just desperately needed to get Rory off his mind.

When the time came, Aurora found herself following the first years with a quick 'good luck' with Lily. Who followed in pursuit with her fellow year prefect as well as trying to aid the given crowd of first years to the boats.

Aurora had met Hagrid a number of times, but it was probably countable on both her hands. So instead when the given younglings continued to gawk and stare, she had to hold her tongue to scoff or to do the same. She needed to act like a 5th year, not like everyone else.

"Welcome to Hogwarts!" The elderly voice deemed about the pile of younglings all about her. She held her head up high and signaled that she knew what was about to become of her.

"Now, in a few moments, you will pass through these doors and join your classmates. But before you can take your seats you must be sorted into your houses. They are Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, and Slytherin..." Aurora smirked, obvious that the little eleven-year-olds by her feet would understand the women's bias just yet, but it tickled for Aurora to be earned a smirk by her professor already.

It was clear that she adored the girl, but as a strict professor, it'd seem that she cannot have favorites. But this was entirely different, how was she meant to act around her godchild?

"...While you are here, your house will be like your family. Your triumphs will earn you house points. Any rule breaking, and you will lose points. At the end of the year, the house with the most points is awarded the house cup...The sorting ceremony will begin momentarily." She nodded off to Aurora and she followed the women at her right side.

"Nervous darling?" She smiled up to the women, glasses now securely away in her robes before nodding about.

"After the speech about my house and classmates being family? Surely it was meant to be a bit scary." She ushered, and Minvera allowed the girl to dwell on the idea in her Uncle's study. Leaving her be as she returned back to the awaiting first years and continued on with the tradition.

She was surprised to hear that her Uncle allowed this, but it was exceptionally pleasing that Dumbledore knew how long her Ilvermory sorting offed. And it was more due to the fact that all the statues she would be able to choose seemed to want her.

It wasn't that he was bored with the first years, he merely wanted to wish the feast to begin and return the hat to the last person of the sorting. Of course, he also knew of the very grown friendship his Godchild and Ms.Lily Evan's had created, so it was the giggling sense that her eyes matched as she saw him rise and take the hat out of the room.

"Wonder where he's off to then?" Sirius whispers to James, but the firm look from Professor McGonagall allowed him to wink at his beloved professor before turning to Moony.

"Sure you're not still feeling irked Moony?" Sirius poked, and it was the wrong sort of teasing as Remus' tired glance finally found his way towards looking to his friend. "Tired Pads, left my potion in my truck." He spoke, rubbing his eyes before trying to focus back on the scene before him. Filling his stomach was the only thing he could look forward to at the moment, especially when he had to give the first year Gryffindor's a tour and THEN get to sleep.

He sighed, it was going to be a brutal and awful first week back. But at least he'll have his friends.

It was the last name sorted into Ravenclaw that allowed the hat to go onto his next task, and so when the headmaster did leave with sorting hat and returned to his office to find his young godchild sitting there with a book. Overall the ones in the office, he appreciated that she left prying for later. Who knows what sort of titles she could've found.

"Fawkies came with a letter from Seb, he's anxious for a response." She chuckles, closing her book and looking to the sorting hat in almost a fear like state.

"How was the sorting?" She spoke, directly to the hat, but it did not do anything in mention to the hat, so Dumbledore stayed quiet.

"It isn't polite to leave the young lady unanswered." The hat growled, making Aurora much more vibrant. "Pardon me, but the last time a student wanted to talk is cursing me for putting their friend in another house." So the smiled once again and shook her head.

"I promise I won't yell at you if you don't give me the same house, I'll be perfectly happy anywhere." Perhaps it was the natural mannered pureblood before him, but he issued forward as Dumbledore place him in the center. The hat seemed to fix itself into place before growling once again.

Sending an all too odd rumble through the young witch before she straightened her posture.

"Ah yes, a Halliwell...Let's see, yes yes very nice...I see why you held fear little one. Four choices are still four choices." Aurora giggled and nodded. "What made you choose your mother's house? If not for heritage...For loyalty then? But Hufflepuff does not sound like you...No...No." The hat seemed to like the lesser audience and ability to think clearly rather than thunderous applause after applause.

Rather it sorted through the options, and it wasn't difficult to support the notion that Aurora was an important child. She didn't like to be placed on that pedestal, but there she was. Perched up in her little tower during the summer for safety concerns.

"Ravenclaw would void well for you, but something is making me—Oh yes, more loyalty...Great great loyalty." She looked in question to her Uncle and wanted so badly to ask questions but decided to keep her mouth closed.

"Trained pureblood...Leaving Slytherin an option aye?...Very well..." Aurora closed her eyes, her heart overtaking her body as there was nothing else her body could feel, it drained all the color from her face and in an attempt to breathe fluently she squeezed her fists together.

Dumbledore had heard the response, and wide eyes met confused ones as she opened her eyes...Did she not hear?

"Minvera will be pleased for you to join her team." He spoke, relaying the information in such a calm and soothing way that her look up entirely tearful.

"I guess I joined the both of you in the brave at heart...It's alright to be surprised Uncle, I am too." She spoke, taking the hat from her head and issuing a smile.

"May I ask why it was Gryffindor?" The sorting hat decided to laugh at her curiosity. But let out a leather cough instead, "That is for me to know and for you to find out...I must rest." She instantly found her footing and went to place him back on the shelf with a small 'thank you' before looking to her Uncle.

He was entirely pleased, and after ordering a house elf to place her stuff within Ms.Evan's room, Aurora's eyes sparkled with delight. "She's going to be very shocked." Dumbledore offered a few words a calmness before turning her clothes into that of Gryffindor pride.

"A bit more color than you previous school there darling, but never the less...The red brings out your hair." Ms.Halliwell rolled her eyes and then offered the notion that the Headmaster shouldn't take too long away from the first feast.

With the long walk thoroughly silent it left both of them to think, Dumbledore was left with the thought about how she had damaged the reputation for a quick and easy sorting. There were a lot of variables to think of, perhaps the hat did the old headmaster a favor...But as the hat stated, time will tell.

With the girl stopped at the entrance did her eyes look towards the ceiling and gulp. "It will be wise to make friends with those you can trust Aurora, it will go a long way...Away with you, surely the excitement Ms. Evans will sanction that of Minvera." She nodded and held onto her Uncle's hand.

"Tell her I promise to give the games my all." Were her final words before heading off into the direction of the red-haired gal. It occurred to Aurora that she'd be excited, but the second ether Mary or Alice looked up to see the grey-haired girl standing behind Lily, they dropped their utensils.

"Li-Lil—" Aurora held her finger mouth and smiled. Instead locking her arms around her and giggled.

"May I have this seat Lilypad?" She jokingly appealed. Lily had turned around for a moment, about to tell her she should sit with her own house and attempt to make friends. But the second her green eyes laid onto the Gryffindor red color, the girl screamed.

Which was instantly silenced by Aurora's quick hand and ability to sit beside her.

"Merlin, you can scream later." She quipped, and like Lily's slow mind. She was the last to realize that Aurora would be their fourth roommate.

"Yes, I suppose we'll be the madam Messers then...I've been practicing my jinxing, don't think we'll use them?" She begged, and from there it was a massive underling.

"Oh, Rory! Stick with me, the prefects give a tour of the school." She offered, while the girls took the extra weight of her satchel before lining up with the other prefects.

"First year Gryffindor's follow me please!" A seventh-year prefect stated about, it seemed to be a Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff were head boy and girl. But it escaped Lily's mind as she explained and explained each and every bloody stone on the wall for Aurora to try and collect it all to retain.

Aurora gave up with trying to even understand it all, but managed to keep her arm connected with Lily's. At least it was keeping her grounded.

"Lupin wasn't feeling his best..." The new girl searched her mind for the listing of characters. "Er Sirius?"

"No, that's Potter's partner. Remus Lupin is the boy prefect in our grade and house...He's usually ill, perhaps it was the travel this time." Lily was deep in thought but Aurora shrugged it off, she was sure she'd meet the given lot of them soon.

Or at least when everything simmers down. For now, she'll get the new girl treatment, owl her friends off in the states and perhaps...By the time she starts playing with the team, she'll be at peace with being the shiny new object.

The common room wasn't all crowded, which Lily warned Aurora that will change in the coming of weeks. But never the less she was dragged up the stairs and presented with the corner bed, all the girls knew it'd give her the most comfort and it was the perfect gesture.

Aurora opened her truck first and foremost, passing all the gifts and trinkets she had purchased in the States to give the girls. She'd have to find the time to give Severus his, it was a copy of American potions that he mentioned wanting to learn. Otherwise, he was a bit difficult to sort through in trying to find a gift.

It was well past midnight as all the girls unpacked and tried their damnest to leave the talking for the day time. But it was all too easy to keep a conversation going with a new girl.

"Oh please Lilypop, I already had a word with Potter on the train. He's not going to do anything." She beckoned, and it was the number of goodnights that finally allowed the girls a decent wink of sleep...
