It was early morning by the time Sirius' potion truly warn off, and luckily he was fit and ready to go. Of course soreness was expected, but it was Sunday, and he did not want to spend the weekend trapped in the infirmary on a day off.

So he hobbled on unsteady legs to the curtain, only to find that Remus had fallen asleep beside Aurora. Her body was hugging his arm and Remus found comfort in just resting his head against the bed.

"Oi, Moony." Sirius nudged, and it earned a growl from the werewolf acting so much more like a dog than anything else at the moment.

But the second it has anything to do with the ear, Remus is immediately in the game and alert. So the quick yank of his ear surely made an impression as he gasped, not too loudly due to the fact his smile interrupted his reaction.

"Come on loverboy, you have to go." He ordered, and Moony pouted. Grabbing the invisibility cloak and looked to Sirius. "She called out for her mum," Remus whispered, and Sirius sighed before looking back at the girl.

"At least she's at peace, whatever she was dreaming about...You know?" Padfoot offered, if he were to dream of his mother it would be only tension and chaos.

"She clinging to your arm?" He dwelled, a smirk rising off and he just shook his head. Remus had told himself that he was done pretending that he was over Aurora, but the gentle closing of Sirius' eyes told him all that he needed to know. "I know you never got over her Moony, don't even try to deny it."

"I won't. And I'm not listening to you about it anymore." He nodded once more and rose to his feet, they were a bit stiff from how he slept but he was otherwise fine.

They walked out of the girl's area, only to have Remus hide under the blanket while Sirius was rushed back into bed with the screaming women running amuck. They were the only two left, but for some odd reason or another Aurora was still asleep.

**

Aurora woke up surprisingly a few hours later, completely healed but otherwise intensely weak and sore. The tonics in her body were struggling against her mutations and it left her feeling rather poor. However, a smile did escape her when she looked above to see that her uncle had set up an astronomy projector for her, as well as alert Seb so he could send a few flowers.

Her wrist hurt, but her head was an entirely different story. All dizzy, even rising for a moment did it feel somewhat odd to balance the two out.

Ms.Halliwell leaned over somewhat, but the smell of Remus was loud. The boy who smelled like chocolate and woodlands had somehow managed to get onto her sheets. Even double checking it as she brought the blanket to her nose. Defiantly Remus.

The girl tried to rack her mind as to what had happened, but as it didn't even help not knowing the day or time, it didn't service any closure. Yet it did help that her glasses were right beside her bed, allowing her to grab both that and the letter in hand.

It just stated that they needed to talk after she was released, and that Seb wanted to see her during that time. She smiled and folded the letter back up. Trying to sit up as far as she could was it all the more comfortable, yawning felt strange as her mind wanted more sleep. Yet she had slept more than the obvious recommended amount.

Yet even then she managed to surcome to the idea of sleep once more, however. The hand interlocking with hers started to wake her up.

"I guess Lily brought your glasses over, she said she would..." The voice whispered, but the girl just wanted a bit more rest. However, the feeling of soft lips grazing her knuckles made her smile and open her eyes to look towards whomever it was.

"Remmy?" She whispered, and his heart jumped with excitement as his eyes watered. "Y-you're awake? R-really?" She smiled numbly and nodded, trying her best to sit up, only to be aided with Remus' careful hands and additional pillows.

"How are you feeling?" She hummed, rubbing her eye. Only to be met by a bandage, her confused nature had her look to it, her now free hand going to pick at it and take it off. "Er, best leave that for Pomfrey, Aurora." Her eyes lazily picked up his attention once more, sure she was a bit hazy in the corner but it was enough for either of them to talk for a moment. Alone.

"I thought I was Wells?" She questioned, oh Merlin was he fucked. "Y-you we-were—I-I tried to—" His inability to string together a sentence, just making her lean further to the side of the pillow, giving him ample amount to see her bruised cheek and her very confused expression.

An airy smile escaped her as she blinked all so slowly. "What?" She mumbled the question, taking a large inhale after but let it out through her nose. "I tried to be friends Aurora, I really did." Her eyes fluttered open again and she began to shake her head.

"You did...At least you tried..." Although Remus can't fault her for being tired, he could just so easily get some information out of her. And he smirked, the marauder side of him coming full swing.

"Why won't you try?" She hummed for a moment and let her hand feel around the air, Merlin were these potions doing her in. "...Because it took...A long time...For me to trust...Some—anyone..." She whispered, her eyes hazily looking about, but it was enough of a response for him to realize it then.

Look what happened to her parents, no wonder the girl trusts so little.

"C-could you ever...trust me?" Her head turned towards him and narrowed. "I don't...Trust L-lily..." She begged, and his eyes widened. If the two who had been friends for how long didn't earn her trust, then he'd— "...Not yet at least." She finished, rubbing her eyes and looking back to the stars.

"Who do you trust then?" She shrugs and blinks so slowly. "Nobody...But...You're..." She continued to rub her eyes. "You're hiding something." His eyes widened, he's fucked.

"I—I'm not, I—" She giggled and waved her hand.

"We have secrets Remus...Would you like to know one?" He desperately did, but if this was an act of trading he wouldn't know what to say. "S-sure?"

"I like you." Her face scrunched together, which made his brows narrow together.

'Like'? What in the bloody hell does that mean? Does she mean fancy?

"You—what?" He breathed out, her eyes looked back to the stars above the both of them. "Er what's the British term...I should get a dictionary hmm?" She smiled, but her eyes just slowly opened and closed, and not even in a timely manner. They sort of had a mind of their own.

"Like as in—Fancy?" He took a stab in the dark, literally. And she nodded. "But that's not fair...For you, to get...Involved...With someone like me." She shifted her body again, itching the skin underneath the cast.

"Fair for me I'm—You really do?" She hums again and the nod was delayed.

"If—If Jacob wasn't back...Back in the states, it would've been easier to just...Move on. But it's okay, we broke up a while ago." She finalized, making sure her eyes look up towards him.

"So I wasn't in the middle of the triangle then?" She giggled, but it sounded strained.

"Nah, is that why you...called me Wells?" Her voice was a bit more put together. Meaning she was waking up entirely.

"Yeah, I guess that was wrong. But you said you wanted to be friends so I just..."

"Thank you." She offered out, her hand squeezing back into his. But out of the ashes did a question bring them both to reality.

"What happened?" Remus sucked in a breath. "One of the Slytherin players had a knife on the felid...Sirius held your fall, he was allowed out yesterday." She rose even more, the pressure she brought on her arm was maddening.

"W-what happened t-to Siri?"

"Just a broken arm and leg, he's alright. Still rocking the bruises a bit, but we're more worried about darling." She looked around hard for a minute, trying to decide who had done the deed. But then it became clear.

"Number 3...That's who did it." She clearly spoke and he smiled. "I'll tell Professor McGonagall...Er, I'm not supposed to be in here so..." He covered her eyes with his hand and quickly threw over the invisibility blanket over his body.

She giggled. "Oh you sly boy, now I'm the crazy one aren't I?" The chuckle sounded like Remus, but she was drugged up enough to not really put together the idea of them having an invisibility cloak.

Instead he managed to kiss her hand, which resulted in a little giggle leaving her mouth. It had been loud enough to alert the Marton as Remus found himself in a bit of a tight situation.

"I wasn't here." She nodded in understanding but continued off towards the hallway and returned to the common room, the cloak now in his satchel did he plop down beside Sirius. Giving him all the brighter smile.

"She's awake?!" He cheered and that earned the attention of most of the common room. Especially Lily, but Sirius was all too eager to visit.

"She's a bit loopy after what they gave her, I'm sure she'll love the flowers and cards." Remus was the soul essence of information as he had a group gathered around, but there wasn't much else to say other than the fact that it was whoever was player 3.

James hurried off to see the numbers being listed and he huffed. Sharing the paper that held 'Avery' onto the team roster. "He's a dead man," Sirius growled, plotting his revenge at that very moment.

**

The next morning was already Monday, the start of the new week and it didn't even occur to them that Aurora would need another day. Or rather half, she emerged from her hidden binds to appear into charms just a few minutes late. Professor Flitwick smiled to the back of the class and she felt a bit odd to be the given celebrity of the school at the moment.

Already a few people stopped her in the halls, luckily it wasn't any Slytherins. Not that she ever saw them to be evil, but it did make her feel small that the entire class had looked back towards her, and that their Professor stopped in the middle of his lecture.

Her face turned red but she hurried alongside to sit beside Lily, but the girl oh too easily was forced to just pay attention and take the offered notes by almost everyone in the class. Remus offered a smile, and she returned it.

"Maybe you got some brownie points Remmy." Sirius cracked and Remus blushed insanely.

Rory just assumed that they were making fun of him again and she sighed. So she looked through her papers and found the old paper they had given to her near the beginning of the semester.

She used her left hand and smiled.

AURORA: Why are people looking at me like I took Merlin's shoes?

Sirius looked down in confusion as the enchanted note started to shine with writing, he turned back to Aurora. The poor girl looked damned tired. Pale even, making her beautiful grey hair a run for its money for being the lesser color.

Reading what he wrote he smiled, at least her humor was still around.

SIRIUS: Because you're our little celebrity.

With Sirius seeing it, he passed it to Moony who was utterly confused. The butterflies bloomed in the pit of his stomach as he turned to reply.

REMUS: How are you feeling?
AURORA: Alright I suppose, I'm skipping History next.

The quick forms of agreements allowed her to feel better about her decision. So once the class had finished the boys decided to walk her to the common room. And unfortunately, they had to help her walk the rest as she looked deathly tired.

"Merlin Wells, what did they give you?" She shook her head. "Nah, it's...My hair's grey." She offered and the boys began to laugh, however it was Remus that explained.

"I'm sure she means the mutations that cause her hair to be grey are playing around with what she was given." Aurora pointed her finger in his direction. "That. Yeah, that." The boys were getting a kick, and had she nod needed a nap they would've stayed with her.

"Sure Moony can't stay with you darling?" She shook her head in disagreement. "No Remmy should go to class." Remus looked to his mates, but after Sirius gave the go ahead.

"I can miss History if you want me to stay." A smile formed on her face as she shrugged out. James didn't even allow Sirius to think of a disagreement before taking hold of Padfoot's shoulder and leading him elsewhere.

The only issue is that it left Remus to take Aurora upstairs through the girls dorms on his own. He inhaled a breath and let both bags fall before picking the girl up. "Oi." She whispered, but her head all too easily fell into a perfect position into his neck as he carried her up bridal style.

"Suppose you wanted to tackle the stairs on your own then?" She shook her head, but it was her free arm that allowed the door to swing open. A gentle coo sounded and it alerted Aurora to look about.

"Oh, Onyx I'm sorry..." She whispered, gaining a bit of strength as she held onto the bed post. Merlin, the boy thought, should she have left the hospital wing?

"Why don't you get dressed into something comfortable, I'll be right back." To be fair, he wasn't sure if she caught on to what he was saying, but she nodded never the less.

It gave him a moment out of the room to get a breath, how in the bloody hell did his mates let him do this? He took his time in getting the bags and thanked the heavens themselves that nobody had witnessed what happened.

Not that anyone would think wrongly of him, nor of Aurora seeing as how the entire school knows what happened at this point. So as he returned back to the room he smiled to see her in a Gryffindor jumper and some leggings it would seem.

"Are you sure you can miss...History?" She was caught up in a thought and dove in to what she missed the second it reappeared. He shrugged.

"To be honest I much rather make sure you're okay than try not to fall asleep in that class. Pads usually ends up drawing on my hands." She let out a giggle, and it took him a moment to even render his heart back to normal as she sat up on the bed.

"Er...I can try and transfigure at chair if—" He was about to wave it off, but the idea that had her bite her lip that him raise a brow.

"Un—unless you want to take a nap too? You look...tired." His pupils dilated and flared up, sh—she wants to take a nap? In the same bed?

This girl had fallen from the heavens and placed right down in front of Remus, she was utterly perfect. Girls usually would want a proper date or to be treated like royalty. But Aurora she—she just can make any bloody situation complicated with his feelings, can't she?

It was fortunate that she was still more than loopy as she tilted her head and just looked up towards him waiting for an answer. So he shrugged. "If you're alright with that?"

She nodded eagerly as he took off his shoots and found himself taking off his main cloak and attempt to get in with a straight face. But he let out a desperate breath of air out. "Er, Aurora I don't—"

"Just a nap Remmy, from what I remember you were visiting really late." She hummed, and to his advantage, she made the bed all the bigger and he hid his smile as she settled down. Her glasses off and set by her owl.

Her tired smile allured him close as he laid down beside her on his own sectioned pillow. However the book beside her on the other side made him smile, it was a thick and worn out book of Norse Mythology.

"A fan are you?" She popped her eyes open for a moment and he regretted to even do that. "Hm, my mum gave me that." Remus gulped as it was definitely a priceless possession.

"...She used to read it to me every night, I remember one night I had been really sick and she read close to the bloody whole thing until she fell asleep beside me." She smiled, but her smile turned into such a sad expression that Remus did not know what to do.

"When...When did they—"

"I was five...When it happened." Her eyes were dead set against looking towards him as she cuddled further into her pillow. "I...I was affected too. I woke up a month or so later." Remus himself was close to tears after hearing the brutal reality that was Aurora Halliwell's childhood.

The werewolf that his father angered had bitten him to damn his father and give his son the curse. But here...Aurora wasn't even given ample time with her family before they were stripped away.

━━━━━▼━━━━━

So he pulled her close, but she pushed away so suddenly. "I don't want pity Remus, especially from you." He attempted again, and whether it be from her weakened limbs or her inability to deny him again. She allowed him to keep her secure and into his chest.

"That is why you don't trust anyone...Isn't it?" She stilled, he'd managed to capture exactly her hesitation in...Anything really. But it was nice to know that their further a relationship only needed to gain her trust.

That wasn't in the least bit hard.

"People leave. It happens." She tempted, but he just pulled her closer. "I think you'll need to give a good kick to me to force me to leave." She allowed a small smile to raise in the littlest bit.

"I don't think I can give you the boot Remmy, that's rude." It made himself a bit better than it'd never come to that either.

"How about this, I'll read a bit so you can go to sleep." Her eyes sparked, as it suddenly became a moment between the two. Nobody had ever offered that for her and she looked fairly emotional so he smile and took that as a good sign.

Yet when he opened the bindings to the first section he saw in very beautiful script. 'For my light in the sky, and for the days that could be better.' He cracked a grin and Aurora knew in the instant that he was reading her mother's handwriting.

"What's your favorite?" She pops her head up for a moment and she shrugs. "The eighth one, Loki and Thor are pretty funny." She whispers, and although she was slipping once again he cleared his throat and began to speak in such a soothing voice that the smile followed her to close her eyes.

He flipped through until he managed to get to the specific chapter and a controlled huff was distressed into a frown. "Give it a chance, it's good." She whispered, yet her eye never popped open. The title held 'Thor's Wedding' and no offense to either him or herself, but he did not want to read about nuptials with her hugging his chest, but with another clear throat and a shift to accompany Aurora's comfort did he attempt.

"Thor the Thunderer, the hallowed hammerer, the god of Thursdays, oak trees, and healing, slept with his weapon by his side. This was Mjolnir, the hugest, hardest, hammer that ever was.

With Mjolinir, Thor could knock down mountains, squash cities and bash whole armies. He was a god after all, and gods can do things like that if they want to. Giants can too. But generally speaking, gods do things bigger and better.

One night, when Thor was snoring (and that was pretty noisy, I can tell you), a giant tip-toed by his bed and stole Mjolnir. In the morning, Thor discovered the lack of his hammer.
Oh my... how his tantrum shook the ground and quivered the treetops. The sun ran scared and hid behind the horizon. The clouds blackened, whizzed around the sky, smashed into one another, and turned into hard cold rain. The human priests called out: 'People, hide! The sky is falling down!'

Thor, when at last he grew weary of rage, vowed to get back his hammer. The task called for brains, which he did not have in quite such quantity as brawn. Now Loki, he was a different kind of god. His wits were as quick as a flame. He had as many tricks as a fire has sparks. He came to Thor's aid in a flash.

'Loki,' called Thor. 'Help me find my hammer!'

'This is serious,' said Loki. 'Mjolnir is our main weapon against the giants... which leads me to think that it was most probably a giant who stole it. Let me prove my hunch, and then, we shall see what we can do.'"

Remus smirked to himself, as he stayed silent for a moment to hear her light snores, but as well as finding the humor that she was wanting to get him to. Yet with her fast asleep he leaned down and kissed her temple. "I'm sure they'll get it back." He whispered once again, yet finding himself indulged with the book entirely.
