Remus' world had turned into complete hell, the second he told his mates of Aurora's turn to going with a Lestrange truly made Sirius flip his shit as one would say.
He hated the connection to Bellatrix to anywhere with their friend, but her friendly smiles turning into vocal flirting. That even came to the field is what angered not only Sirius, but James as well. Considering it became a real risk came for a Muggle-born witch such as Lily and Mary to be so close to a pureblood fanatic.
It was currently Transfiguration at the moment, Aurora was sitting beside Lily with the boys in front of them. Not even for a moment had Aurora thought to look in their direction, but she was taking mental notes. And when it became too much to squint did she enact her eyes just for a moment before looking at Lily's sheet before her.
She needed to write to retain information, another quirk that Remus saw. That she still attempted, and if one could look at her in a time of need, they'd see her eyes were out in the open. Peter could've sworn up and down that he saw them one day in Charms class. Aurora had just taken an entire lot of her notebook just so she could feel the fluff in writing with a firm grip.
The thing about the boys is that for the entire duration since they allowed it all to pass by, she assumed they were up to something. But as Lily asked for an extra parchment, she dug into the back to pass her one only to find the conversation between the boys.
REMUS: She's never going to speak to us again.
PETER: This is a bad idea
JAMES: She needs to know how dangerous the git is, his sister in law is Bellatrix for merlin sakes. I can't imagine that dinner party.
SIRIUS: I can, they'll eat her alive for being a Gryffindor.

She attempted to leave it alone, to get through the class and confront them after. But she had the perfect counter, especially when they were going over their plans once again.
AURORA: I do advise that you lot try and manage at least one class. And stop worrying about things that don't concern you.
She watched in perfect sync as the boys straightened up, that was one of the purposes of her eyes coming up. And it was Peter who had finally broke and looked back. She felt immensely bad for having his charms grade suffer right beside Remus' potion making, but friends worry about things like that.
And it seemed like the friendship had been slipping anyhow.
Yet that didn't stop from all the boys to rush and write their own embedded paragraph of an apology. So she let them sit and wait for a moment as it allowed them a bit of personal hell that she could control, there was no need to even bother to get through with them. She liked the company of Raba and Sev, they weren't as dark. Or not around her at least, yet she was a bit weary of it all.
But the information that she had gained and fed to Dumbledore was an immense help. And she scheduled to go to a meeting after dinner tonight.
After thoughtfully reading each of them, minding Peter as she didn't really count him as one of them she smirked.
AURORA: What you boys fail to understand is that actions = consequences. I forgive you for what you did, but that comes at a price and I don't think I can be near anything as toxic as you lot.
That stung to Remus as he leaned backwards, recalling loudly the conversation they had privately in the library. The recognition to the situation had him continue.
REMUS: How long have you been angry with us?
AURORA: I was never okay with your bullying, I attempted to separate myself before, the fact that you are realizing now is hideous. And if you do anything to Rabastan I will rectify the situation.
Her warning acted as a threat to Sirius, so much so that Remus attempted to stop him from typing but it did not work in any regard. But it was about to be a nonverbal fight on a sheet.
SIRIUS: We are doing this for your own bloody good, if you weren't sucking up to those snakes you'd see it too.
AURORA: What I see is three dictating boys attempting to rule the school. If you don't recall our first meeting James you did me wrong just by association. Sirius wanted to hex me and Remus was going to allow it.
SIRIUS: We're trying to help Wells.
His pleading attempted once again, but it angered her entirely. So she secretly copied the paper in hopes of using it one again and following their conversations when they really least expect it. Just for future reference of course.
AURORA: Underestimate me. That'll be fun.
Was the last thing she said before crumpling the bit of it, waiting for their professor to turn towards the bored before she threw it directly towards Sirius. "Ow." He growled, looking back to Aurora in spite of wanting to still help he huffed, holding the paper.
"She gave it back Moony, no need to break your handwriting that essay." Remus signed, and although he was known for being the silent one of the group. He still flicked his wand to pass the transferred note.
Aurora please will you hear me out. I never wanted to duel you, I never sent anything to you. I just deflected your spells and the rebounds, I know they took it too far but I don't want to lose you as a friend. Please, please just let me apologize in person.
The girl inhaled for a moment and closed her eyes. She didn't want to admit she had been wary of Remus ever since Severus' claims as well as evidence to the claims. So when he looked back as desperate as the letter he had given. So she breathed in and nodded, giving into everything that she thought against.
When McGonagall ended the class Aurora told Lily what was going to happen, which Lily disagreed with. However it was Alice that encouraged it, and the second she saw Remus' tall slant figure waiting awkwardly she nicked her head and narrowed her eyes towards the rest of group as she left them off in the moment.
As much as his body had been screaming for her attention and affection, it sort of hurt worse when she was openly evasive and guarded. Showcasing her trust that had been lawfully broken.
It's the middle of March and yet they had ventured near the courtyard without properly leaving the heated charm the castle provided for the students.
"You tried to tell us before...But we never saw it, that's what you meant that day in the library. That we—that we're toxic—"
"Remus you are smarter than this, you know that sometimes it's wrong. That sometimes it isn't just black and white." She managed and he narrowed his own eyes, sharing his distaste of the situation.
"Is that why you are with the Slytherins then? To get back at—"
"I am friends with Severus, as much as that confuses you bunch. I have been writing him almost as long as Lily. How ever it suddenly turned into me getting back at you?... That just proves my point." They stayed in silence and squeezes her eyes.
"You think I like being mad at you?! You asked me why I don't trust, and you're friends go and do that...If you want forgiveness here it is, but don't expect everything to go back to the way it was because I—Because it will end up happening again." Her rant had finally ended and she began to leave him alone in the empty hallway.
"Tell Peter to meet me in the library tomorrow." It had Remus turn, his eyes leaking from the heavy truth that she revealed. "W-why?"
"Because he's failing Charms." She growled, continuing off to the library to sit just across Severus.
A new bit of information to gain into their list against Remus. Throughout the conversation they were close enough for her to see into his amber eyes.
His were usually green, but now...After the moon, they treated him into his wolf eyes.

After dinner she waited up in her Uncle's study for half a chapter, only for him to stroll in as she was flipping the page. "I do think Alastor was lying when he said this would work," Aurora smirked, waiting for her other Godfather to join the conversation.
"Ah, look at our little spy. How are you doing darling?"
"Swell thank you for asking, but I will say that the Lestrange manner isn't the only place for meetings. I couldn't dive in too far into his mind, but I drew up the symbol...Do either of you know this family?" Moody had taken the paper in his hand and analyzed it for a moment.
"Mulciber. We'll look at their spending habits as well...Use caution Rory. Constant—"
"Constant vigilance...You do realize that I can do a whole lot of damage if he goes home running to his parents in want of a marriage contract?" Dumbledore kept his face passive while Moody showed instant distaste.
"No. You will not be horrified into the pit of Snakes Aurora. Your place is in the Order."
"But if I were to continue, further, after Hogwarts. I would be in the midst of it all, to feed. To tell you when a dinner party with the dark lord was going to happen. Don't you want this to end?" Alastor looked off to Dumbledore, and sometime during her rant he pondered the idea.
"Is that truly how you wish to live your life Aurora? To be seen as a Death Eaters wife? The scrutiny?" Aurora rolled her eyes. "You don't question my tactics now Uncle, why would you start then?" Alastor cackled at the confusion in Dumbledore's face.
"It seems her femininity is working to conspire, Albus, this is—"
"LALALALBLOODYLALA. I lived in a pureblood society, and I'm not from here so their family tree would be introduced. Not that I need it as I know up to his bloody grandmother's middle name. But if I do this right then I could be able to stop it." Dumbledore wanted it to continue, to have an inner person. But was he really willing to give up his goddaughter?
"I will discuss this in depth with—"
"Are you mad?! Eva and Thomas did not risk everything on the Earth for her to fall into the hands of them." The staff in Alastor's hand had banged onto the floor beneath them. But Aurora sucked up a breath and eyed Alastor.
"If this is a pureblood lesson I don't want to hear it, you know I was dating in the states." That had been the closing call and the man did not want to know anything more of her sexual activity, but the second the exit fire had simmered down. Dumbledore smiled.
"When did you start caring for the youngest Lestrange?" She pouted and slumped into the chair, taking the offered candy and nibbling on it for a moment. "While studying with him I suppose...When were you going to tell me that Lupin is a werewolf?"
The intake of a breath was as much of a surprised reaction as he will give, so she tilted her head. "I assume that Newt has given you his blessing for this, and there is nothing against Remus. He's a sweet fellow." The tilt of her Uncle's head was much more judgment and she huffed.
"Severus knows as well, but he's the one with a vendetta against them. You don't need me to tell you that, Headmaster." She finished, and although the headmaster wanted to find why the two have been segregated, it only to shrug.
"When the time comes I'll address it, go, find out more information...And perhaps use less incriminating tactics that won't let Alastor's hair to grow white." Aurora shrugged. "You know I'm right uncle, and an annulment isn't something Wiccan's or fond of, but if it's for the greater good? I do not want to see this war go to America." The elder nodded and bid her goodnight, the sacrifices she was willing to make were well bound.
But with marriage there was always the fear, the likability that Aurora had the boy was imperative to not be everlasting. Love can make one do stupid things, so much so that it transported him back to a time with his own misfortune.
**
To him and the rest of the boy's surprise, Aurora kept her word in helping Peter with charms. And they were waiting patiently for her to offer up her tutoring for Remus and Sirius to continue as well, but it never came. However, after two meetings Peter came into the dorm room with some news for his mate.
"MOONY!" Peter yelled, having everyone look in shock at the boy's aggress announcement. "Surely whatever it is Pete can be at a lower tone." Sirius issued as he was taking his nap before dinner. It did spike up Remus' interest and patiently waited.
"Wells wears that necklace you gave her still." The werewolf had fallen out of bed in hopes of getting anything more out of it. "Moony why did you get her a black flower for the charm though?" That stood rather odd for the rest of them, but that had Remus sigh rather loudly.
"Was she angry today?" Peter shook his head at the question. "No, she asked how everyone is like last time. And I told her that Pads tried to put pink dye into Prongs' shampoo and Moony almost used it...She laughed." It warmed all of their little prankster hearts that it did tickle her to some degree.
"Th-the charm is enchanted to go with her moods, I suppose it'll be black if she's feeling—"
"That time of the month?... Merlin gals have it too mate." Remus groaned into the air, perhaps Alice was his only bloody hope to listen to his side of the story. And even if she did end hitting him in the forearm a dozen or so times, it hurt even more for that scolding as Alice disclaimed that Aurora wasn't herself for the past few weeks, not until Rabastan came along at least.
The lot of them were talking amongst themselves, and it came as too much in Sirius' regard. So he snuck out whistle the lot of them were talking up plans as to come clean with her, being on their best behavior was odd for them. Or 'best behavior' as in not getting into fights as easy as they have been.
Remus knew her word sounded like law, but whatever sort of anger that Sirius had with Aurora was starting to show immensely. The glares, the comments, it was as though he didn't care when he sure as hell did.
Aurora had just turned a corner as she was reading a letter in her mist as she continued to walk mindlessly towards the common room. "Well well well, it's Wells everyone! Come to finally greet us with her presence." She rolled her eyes and glanced up. "May I help you Sirius?" She stated but he shrugged.
"I suppose, but you're too busy shagging a snake to—" The anger rallied the air in the hallway.
"You think I'm whoring it up again aren't you, well congratulations Sirius you added another reason to the list." His brow rose, she seemed to be telling the truth as he heard her heartbeat.
"Then what are you bloody doing with the bloke if—" She continued to walk on towards him with a smirk.
"I suppose if you play your cards right then one day it'll become clear. I do everything for a reason Sirius, think about it..." He straightened his back posture and leaned into his ear.
"You think...I moved here without any reason?" She winked before continuing into the common room and upstairs. It had allowed him to have food for thought and the Black heir realized that she wasn't just here for education...She was truly here for something more.
