Present:

"You're getting... Stronger... Now... Little sis..." The dying man said while praising his sister who is now stabbing him right in his heart. His blood gushed out along with his live. Slowly, he felt his live flew away from his weak body. "I'm... Proud of... You... (y/n)..." He said and gave her a sweet smile. The last smile before his live left his body completely.

The young woman pulled out her katana from the dead body and tilted her head upwards. The rain slowly pouring down to wash away the blood of her beloved brother. She fell on her knee while holding her sobs but she can't hold it much longer now. She cried hysterically and punched the ground as hard as she can. "Why me?!!! Why is it always me??!!!" She cried again and again.

Then, she took out her kunai and placed it at her chest, ready to stab herself any minutes now. "I already accomplished my goal and now... I have no reason to live anymore... I have no more regrets too." She slowly stabbed herself with that kunai. Her blood is gushing out from her chest but the pain, she can't feel it anymore. She felt so numb right now.

Suddenly, a familiar voice stormed her eardrums. "STOP!!! (Y/N)!!!"

(y/n) glanced at the man and smile bitterly at him before collapsed on the ground. Her blood is now being washed away along with her brother's blood by the rain. Their body is now being side by side with each other.

"No! (y/n)!" The man quickly ran and pulled the weak body in his arms. "Hey, (y/n)! Wake up! Shit. Why did you do this?!" He said while shaking the limp body vigorously to wake her up.

"Kakashi, let me heal her." Another young woman said to him.

"P-Please..." Kakashi begged to her. "Please save her, Shizune."

"I will try my best... But first, we need to find a shelter from this heavy rain." Shizune said to the masked jounin.

"Kakashi-senpai! Over here! I found a cave over here!" Another friend of his called for him.

"Right away, Yamato!" Kakashi said, he quickly lift the woman and ran to the said cave with Shizune and Yamato. Then, he placed down the bleeding woman and Shizune quickly do her job as a medical ninja. She was so sad as well to witness one of her friend ended up like this.

Kakashi was going back and forth non-stop while waiting for Shizune done with her job. He ran his fingers through his silver locks and let out a rough grunt to show how frustrated he is right now.

"Calm down, Senpai. Why do you want to save her that bad? She's a rogue ninja, she will face a death penalty for that if we bring her back to Konoha." Yamato said to his senior.

"I don't care! If she die, kill me too! Let me die with her! If she's locked in the prison, lock me up too! Or... Just take me as her substitute..." The silverette said while his manly tears is now flooding in his dark orbs.

"Now you regret about it, Kakashi? I thought that night you said 'fuck off' to her. Did you knocked your head anywhere, Kakashi? I can help with that hard skull of yours as well..." Shizune growled in anger.

"Tch..." Kakashi clicked his tongue while his memory is now playing the memory tape in his mind. It was a long time ago but it's still fresh in his mind.

Past:

"Shut up, Bakashi! You always bragging about rules, rules, and rules! Is there anything else in your head other than rules?" That young Uchiha shouted at the silverette.

"That's the responsibility of being a shinobi, Obito. And please, stop calling me Bakashi. The name is Kakashi." Kakashi said while crossing his arms,  not wanting to meet with the Uchiha's gaze.

"Hey, that's enough... We're friends, remember?" The young brunette said to her teammates.

"Hn... A man like him will never know what 'friends' really mean, Rin. He's a big jerk!" Obito continue to fight with Kakashi.

"Stop it. Both of you. Can the two of you treat each other nicely? Kakashi? Obito?" The handsome blonde man came between them but still advising those stubborn boys nicely.

"But, Minato-sensei... He's the one who started it!" Obito still don't want to lose.

"Yeah... Just go home and cry on your pillow, Crybaby... It's just a waste of time to fight with you." Kakashi said and quickly walked away from his team.

Team Minato just got back from their mission and those boys were already fighting over small things. As usual, Obito will brag about his dream to become a Hokage and Kakashi will always tell him to follow the rules first before setting his dream. Kakashi will always bring about Obito's lateness for their mission everyday but, that's basically how their team works so Minato doesn't have any choice but to bear with it.

"He's the crybaby in our team. Not me." Obito pouted. He was so angry with Kakashi right now. Nothing will go on right in Kakashi's eyes if Obito is the one who is doing it. "Just wait for it, Bakashi! When I unlocked my Sharingan, I will become stronger than you. And I will definitely become a Hokage!"

"Obito... I think you should start a good term with Kakashi once in awhile..." Minato sighed.

"It's okay, Minato-sensei. I will handle these two." Rin said while smiling at Obito.

Obito's cheeks burned when Rin smiled at him like that. No one ever treats him nicely like Rin did and for him, Rin is the  main source of his light. He will do anything to protect her.

Meanwhile, a girl who was watching the whole scene then moved away from that spot. She was holding a cute looking box in her hands. She ran as fast as she can to meet with him.

After running a few blocks from her starting point, she finally caught the glimpse of her crush. She walked sheepishly to approach the boy. "H-Hi, Kakashi-kun..." She started.

Kakashi didn't even look at her and keep walking away like there's no one there. He just ignored her and focusing on his road.

"W-Wait! Kakashi-kun!" She chased after the silverette while pulling his sleeve gently.

Kakashi stopped and turned to face her. His face was showing no emotions at all but he seemed irritated to see the girl in front of him right now.

The timid girl slowly reached out the box while looking down at her feet. She was obviously blushing while doing that. "F-For y-you..." She said slowly.

"Just leave me alone." Kakashi said and continue to walk away from the (h/c) haired girl. He felt so irritated right now.

"B-But... I-I made this for you... A-At least... T-Take it with you, K-Kakashi-kun..." She said while shoving the box to the silverette.

"I said I DON'T WANT IT!  Are you deaf or something?!" He slapped her hands, making the box fell down to ground along with the homemade food that resides it. It was a mess, everything was thrown away just like that.

Kakashi rolled his eyes in disgust and continue to walk away from that girl. Then, another girl suddenly blocked his way.

"Apologize!" She said angrily.

"Get lost..." Kakashi said while holding his wrath. What is wrong with everyone around right now? Everyone is being so annoying.

"Apologize to her right now, Kakashi! Can't you see her efforts to become friends with you?! (y/n) just want to be your friend! She felt so pity of you because you have zero friends! You're a big jerk, Kakashi!" The girl barked her words at Kakashi which make him feels even more mad at her.

"Fine." He said in his cocky tone then he turned around to face (y/n). "I'm sorry and now, GET LOST!" He shouted at her. He pushed the girl who blocked his way and went away leaving those two girls behind.

"He's clearly a douchebag... Are you okay, (y/n)?" The girl asked (y/n) while rubbing her back.

"I-I... I'm okay. Don't worry about me, Shizune."

"You know that you don't have to waste your energy and time for that jerk, right, (y/n)?" Shizune said while pulling (y/n)'s hand gently so that they will walk together.

"I... It's okay, Shizune. I'm fine... I just... Yeah... You know." (y/n) said while eyeing the evening sky above her. She didn't care if he just discard her away. All she wanted is for him to notice her existence, that's all.

"But still, (y/n)... I know that almost every girl in our class are still crazy on him. There's still a lot of better boys than him... Why him?" Shizune tilted her head a bit to look at her dear friend.

"I don't know... It's just... We have a lot of things in common... You know, both of us don't have parents and all... But, I think I'm lucky enough to have you, Shizune. You're always with me but for Kakashi-kun... He's all alone. I know how the loneliness felt and... I know he's hurting..." (y/n) confessed. It's true, her own brother slaughtered their parents in front of her eyes. And since then, she lives alone in a small apartment but, she never feels alone at all. Shizune will come over and talked with her all day long.

"You're so kind, (y/n)... Too kind..." Shizune added.

The sun rises to tell that the new day is just begun. (y/n) stirred a bit after the sun ray hits her eyes, then she woke up after feeling an extreme pain in her head.

"Aarrgghhh!!!" She screamed in pain. She quickly take her pillow and cover her screaming with it. That pain was so unbearable for a 13 years old girl like her.

Suddenly, a few knocks were heard from her front door. "(y/n)! Are you awake?! My mother invites you for a breakfast together!" Shizune called her from the outside.

(y/n) who was in pain struggles really hard to stand. She wobbled slowly to the door before opening the door with her face clearly showing that she's not okay to her best friend.

"(y/n)! What happened?!" Shizune quickly supports (y/n) who was nearly fall down just now. "(y/n)! Your body is burning! We need to go to the hospital, now." Shizune ordered her. She quickly supports her and went to the hospital together. Of course, (y/n) kept on saying that she's alright but being a good friend like she always does, Shizune ignored her words because she knew that the fact is (y/n) is sick.

After getting her checked up done, the medic ninja just looked at the frail girl with worries in her eyes. "(l/n) (y/n), right?" The medic asked her.

"I know, Tsunade-sama... I can't be cured... I know. This is a genetic disease..." (y/n) said while smiling weakly. She already knew about the fact that she can't live longer like anyone else. That's why, she really wants to live in as many people's mind as she can. Especially the Hatake, she really wanted him to recognise her and know that she exist in this world. It's okay if he hates her because at least, he will remember her in that way.

Whenever she thinks about dying, she really hoped that she doesn't have any friends to begin with. What will Shizune feels when she die? That's why it's okay for her if Kakashi keep hating her like that. At least, it will not breaks his heart if she die soon.

Suddenly, the door of her room was slammed open and revealing the mad looking Shizune in front of the room. She looked at (y/n) and then hugged her tightly.

"Why? Why? Why?" Shizune said, tearing up at her best friend's shoulder. "Why you never tell me about this, (y/n)?"

"S-Shizune... I-"

"You should have tell me, (y/n)! You're like a sister to me! You don't have to endure all of this alone!" Shizune continue to sob.

"I-I... I..."

"Shizune, if she told you about this, what can you do? She will die someday. Everyone will die someday." Tsunade said before leaving the room for the both girls to enjoy their privacy.

Tsunade glanced back at the (y/n)'s room with a faint smile decorating her lips. "You're very strong, (y/n)... I will find the cure for you. You must live."

"Tsunade! Did you see my niece, Shizune? My sister told me that she went out to call her best friend to have breakfast together but Shizune is missing right now. I checked at her best friend's apartment as well and it was empty as well. Do you know about their whereabouts, Tsunade?" The good looking man greeted his lover with his usual gentle voice but he sounded so worried as well.

"Don't worry, Dan. Both of them are alright. Just... Let's leave them alone for awhile." Tsunade told Dan. She knew that her lover loves his niece so much like his own daughter. What a nice man he is.

"O-Okay... If you says so, I will believe in your words, Tsunade." Dan said and smiles at the beautiful woman in front of him.

"Dan." Tsunade called him.

"Yes? What is it?"

"Did you heard about the rumors that another war will start soon?"

Dan let out a long sigh at her lover's words. That rumors were more than the truth actually. It was said that the Kumogakure ninja are now starting with their war preparations as well. "I'm afraid it's a real thing, Tsunade... We are short handed with armies right now... So, maybe... We don't have any choice but to take the children in the battlefield as well."

Tsunade looked very depressed after hearing all of those things. She can't afford that young lives will be sacrificed to be in the frontline with them. She lost her younger brother, thanks to the war too. She doesn't want to see any other young bodies from that battlefield anymore.
